    I like to buy a jar of unsalted mixed nuts from Costco and my kids love it too. My kids and I also love oranges 🍊 we have at least 2 a day if not more. 🍊🙂 I also love oats with milk and some organic cane sugar is very good. 😍 peas have also been a very delicious addition to my meals, like my home made rice or soups 😋😋

    What kind of bread is that (that you put the Pb as ND banana on)? We use a marathon bread which whole wheat and includes carrots, nuts, etc. We like it a lot but your bread looks really yummy.

    I tried making the quinoa balls with spirulina and dates...and didn't rinse the quinoa, just put in a coffee grinder to make flour. I've since learned it needs to be rinsed. I also saw your video about heating it in a pan, but did you rinse it first? Soak it? It looked dry to me, so not sure. I'm new to quinoa so your advise would be greatly appreciated. I had one of the balls last night and got a terrible stomach ache hours later. I'd like to use this protein source more often, please help. TY!

    Thank you, I do enjoy these informational videos. Would this still apply for gluten free oats?

    • @robinesak7819
      @robinesak7819 3 роки тому +2

      Yes, gluten free oats are exactly the same as regular oats except they're not grown around wheat. Gluten only gets into oats when wheat gets blown or carried into the oat crops - they don't have any gluten on their own.

    I am ovo lacto veggie rn, but I have been close to plant based at times, and calcium was the hardest for me, and just the trickiest over all bc it is so complicated. It is very hard to supplement effectively, it is difficult to absorb in many of its most common forms, esp if it is not consumed along with vitamin D and magnesium. Poorly formulated supplements (vitamins or enriched foods) may actually harm your body to some degree.
    I get sooo frustrated buying plant milk bc many have 40% calcium per serving and no magnesium.
    So Delicious is the only brand that gets it right (that I have encountered) but the only option I see from them is coconut milk which is delicious, creamy and works great as a dairy sub to veganize recipes... but it’s not sustainable in my part of the world bc of the ultra long shipping distance.
    you are one of my favs bc your suggestions are way more balanced and mineral rich than many other vegan influencers. So props to you for helping rather than harming with your advice 😃💕

    • @Magnulus76
      @Magnulus76 Рік тому

      You only need about 500-700 mg of calcium per day. That's equivalent to several servings of beans and greens every day. If you eat fortified foods like plant milk or corn tortillas, that becomes even easier.
      Vitamin D is stored in the body so it's really not necessary to stress about food combining with calcium.

    Blood tests does not show a true result of your Magnesium. Most of the mineral is inside the cells and bones and can not be defined by blood work.

    Unfortunately, all the good plant-based sources of magnesium and zinc are high in fat and are risky foods to eat in if you are trying to watch your weight. So I just take supplements.
