Hi fella, I've had this message for a while. I only really concerned myself with it today and found your video. With my car, I had a new engine, glow plugs, oil, gear box oil, turbo the lot. I have a drive from North to South about 3hrs Drive, would you advise against it before I get it looked at? I thought this message was to service the vehicle.
Would failing glow plugs always throw the service soon message? I had it flash up once but gone the next start up? I've noticed the car getting a bit wobbly on acceleration but no warning signs or icons coming up
Well I ignored the service vehicle soon message and my car broken down on a motorway. When I parked up 15mins later had a huge puddle of engine oil on the bottom of car. Got car recovered and now waiting next week for it's check up. Any ideas? We think the car is game over
Is it possible to clear this error automatically? Yesterday it was giving an error about the adblue system. Adblue error is gone, but after running it for a few km, SVS message appears.
Hi, i got this massage today when i start accelerating on second gear, after that the car don’t want to accelerate anymore, like turbo doesn’t work, after i stopped for 15 minutes, when i started it show me again this massage and gone, but this time car was accelerating, do you think it’s a glow plug, anyway i got appointment for next saturday, just wondering to order original gm glow plug, cos mechanic take some cheap and still take you the same money, thanks indeed
Yes, it was gone, now became again, my mechanic says it’s from 1 cilinder now, we reset system, when i have free time or it’s come again i will replace it, i have anyway spare genuine one
I got this vehicle service message on dash puy a scan tool.on it and it said cylinder 2 and 4 glow plugs were faulty, went to ooel and got 2 new plugs changed them erased codes and 2 days later same message on dash , scan ttooled again and said exact same glow plugs which can't possibly be, so I my mechanic said it has to do with the ad blue was deleted and the dpf can't regenerate which I wasn't told when I got car
Can't remember the make and model but I had a car with just 1 pressure reading glow plug in cylinder number 3. Any idea why they choose that idea over 4
Be careful it's could be dangerous for your engine. When I was at the border with my astra, it's been awhile, first was - service vehicle soon message, then overheating the engine... It's was something wrong about AC. When I turn off the AC the car go normally.
Going to have to invest in a code reader, had to pay £25 for a garage to read my error code, glow plug 4 so I purchased and replaced myself for a total cost of £74(genuine part ) but the message is still there and I’m reluctant to have to pay £25 again just to reset it.🤦🏻♂️
I think you can mix and match 2 glow with sensors 2 glow plugs normal , to keep the cost down . It cost £150 each so £600 total . You can buy the whole engine for 600 quid.. I seen it done with no issues.
also my misses says she got that massage one-two week ago, but i ignore it, i after travel about 150 miles with the car and was ok, didn’t show me nothing, it was not accelerating as usual, one idea slower, but i was thinking that because i change my summer tyre with winter for snow…

Great video Jimmy. U said you had a broken.glow plug which I've heard is the dreaded issue, what did you do which it breaking inside the cylinder.
Remove the fuel injector and punch the broken piece inside the cylinder then fish it out

The oil pickup seal fails on them that leads to destruction of the engine

if you replase the sensor whil the ecu reset the warning light
In mine, I had this warning, and after checking, I found that by mistake the plug next to the turbo was unplugged. After that everything is OK

Good video are them engines unreliable?
The engines aren't bad but do have some flaws that can ruin them like the oil pickup seal fails on all of them that leads to destruction of the engine
