Guys, yesterday my Zafira 1.6 CNG got that code and got in limp mode. After second re-start the message went out and drove it about 150 km. Not problem at all. Tomorrow I will take it for diagnostics and write here as soon as possibe what was the reason for the faulty code.

You can get this if one or more heater plug " glow plug" has broken, some have a cylinder pressure sensor built in this is where the error comes from when the sensor breaks
I have a 2013 astra cdti 1.7 d. I have 4 of these glow plugs with semsors, i have changed all of them, but the service light still comes on. Wo dering if its the fact i did it and havent reset the code
Most of the vauxhall when they come up Service vehicle soon is either glow plugs, Dpf or airflow meter at fault, and i think all from 2012 - 2014 had only 2 sensor glow plugs fitted, it's a while ago now but genuine vauxhall sensor glow plugs used to be £75 plus vat
Hello mate, if you erase that warning without actually finding out the actual fault, would it reappear? I erased mine and that service vehicle soon warning never came back on. Car starts on the button, power is still there on motorways but only whilst idling I noticed the rpm fluctuates/shakes. I'm beginning to worry a little bit now and kinda regretted I erased that warning before.

Hi mate, I have just had my car plugged in and they said 1 & 4 plug need replacing. all 4 of mine are the pressure ones and been told could be £200 each… can these be swapped to the normal ones as my mate has the exact same car which has all normal plugs? Any help will be appreciated
Had service soon on 2014 insignia pressure sense fault was juddering at 2000 rpm plus sometimes lost bit of power read with fault reader was showing faults on all 4 pressure sensors and crank position sense fault . Pulled plugs out thought have go cleaning them because of cost so ultrasonic cleaned them for about 30 in some aggressive cleaning fluid . Loads of black coming out between body n tip even though plug looked very clean refitted cleared codes faults not come back juddering gone and power back well pleased

if its not the glow plugs you will need to get a code diagnostic check done see what fault codes are stored, the petrols can suffer with the electronic thermostat.. that puts the same warning on 👍
Hi mate, ive got a question.. Astra j ecoflex cdti 1.7 2013. long story short, but i fitted a new suction control valve, once on, i started the car up it kept it kept cutting out, tried to rev the car up, wouldn't go past 3000rpm before cutting out, so at that point point i realised i had not used the spacer, so the bolt threads were longer then the previous (heart sinking at this point) so i put my old one back on with threads, started it up at first pretty rough, but then ran fine, got up this morning and service vehicle soon warning on... anyway went for a drive stopped started no warning light (i have just had an issue with glow plugs, and ended up getting all codes cleared, but was also putting out code for oxygen sensor, anyway (sorry) im wondering if i have caused a problem with putting those longer threads in? Bloody annoyed with myself ill say. 😢. Wondered what you think.
Great video, but from my Opel Astra J Sports Tourer, it only shows some time through driving, and if I stop the car, then restart the engine, the message will not show, and after few days, it shows again, and repeat. So annoying.
hi,i have a vauxhall zafira tourer cdti 2.0.... the service vehicle soon message has been on since iv had the car about 18 months, should the glow plug light come on everytime i start the car? most times it wont come on at all but other times its litrally just a quick flash like less than a second, my car idles just a little bit off but not ruff, i can see and hear the revs go up and down like every second or so, any ideas on what this could be please??
Thanks for the comment, the glow light wont come on for long tbf.. the "Service vehicle soon" message can come on for a few faults.. really you will need to read the fault codes first to point you in the right direction 👍
@@diydaly thanks for your reply, I took the car to the garage when I got the car and they hooked it up to the computer and told me it was the pdf filter that needed a re-gen so they went ahead and did the re-gen and cleared the service vehicle soon message, I picked the car up and the message was still there when I started the car, I’m tempted to clean the dpf filter myself with dpf cleaner and see if that helps
yeah you may need to, did they say that was the only fault logged? DPFs are quite a common issue, The zafira suffer with the Dpf pressure pipes splitting.. Id check them first if I was you.. there will be 1 or 2 pipes coming off the Dpf that go up to the top of the engine bay to a pressure sensor.. they usually melt/split about half way just where the start to go up the back of the engine 👍

I have a 2010 insignia 2.0cdti when the car is cold the car judders under slight acceleration, if I floor it it picks up and is ok but slow city driving at low revs it judders really bad, after driving for about 15 minutes the problem goes away. Any idea what the problem is ? I have changed MAF sensor and MAP sensor, had a regen done, cleaned throttle body and egr valve, no difference

We went a drive he was checking things with his computer plugged in but the car was warm from driving before I met him, so it didn't miss behave he said everything looks fine. It really judders some days like its going to cut out but I've never had a warning light on dash or any codes come up? It's an 2010 with 31000 miles on it

Well I ignored the service vehicle soon message and my car broken down on a motorway. When I parked up 15mins later had a huge puddle of engine oil on the bottom of car. Got car recovered and now waiting next week for it's check up. Any ideas? We think the car is game over

Hi Ken, you will be ok just replacing the 1 if the others are working ok.. the on out thing I will say is just be aware the the 1.3 cdti glowplugs are known for siezing in and can easily snap as they are quite thin compared to some glow plugs .. I’m actually from right on the east coast just south of grimsby mate

The error was P0301 - cylinder 1 misfire. Till today no problem and the engine works fine.
So after another misfire the mechanik is going to replace the CNG injector for 1st cylinder and the spark plugs for all.

Hard to say mate , they vary so much! You’ll soon be able to see just taking the cover off

Yeah It may need clearing ; be interesting to see if they are they only faults logged

Yeah usually it’s comes back on fairly quick , might just be a weak glow plugs, in that case it may take a while to come. Back on

No that’s it , only other way to check is test them or do a diagnostic check
so do you have to use the pressure glowplugs or can you use 4 standard ones as pressure plugs are very expensive

I’m afraid the connectors are different so you can only replace them for the same style!

No it can vary some have 2/2, some have all 4 pressure sensing or all 4 normal.. not sure ethyl why tbh but it’s the same with the VAG group vehicles

You should be ok tbh , might have logged some fuel pressure codes.. your just need to get all the codes cleared and see what happens 👍

Almost everything seems to suggest glow plugs at fault but ours is not a diesel. 🤷♀

@@diydaly requires a gearbox. Which I suspected. However the AA chap said bottom end of engine and you require a new engine!

Yeah, it's a bad pressure sensing glow plug. I replaced it and the warning message disappeared right away. No need to clear the codes.

Am I right in saying you won't get a SVS message if you don't have the sensor plugs or does it come up for both types?
Should only come on for sensor type
These plugs are horribly expensive because of the sensors as I found to my cost!
Yes! Luckily this model only had 2 plugs with the sensors on , the later models have all 4 plugs with sensors on 😬

Hi, I know this an older post but I've just bought an insignia and it's doing the exact same thing and quite choky on start up? Looking at your comments, I don't think you live far away from me. Do you do home call out to diagnose issues? @diydaly

Hi there i have a 2012 astra 2ltr cdti vx line every morning i go out to it its in limp mode with the svs on dash and if i take it for a we drive and park it up for an hour an go out start it again its out of limp mode it can idle at times not high but can still hear it goin up and down ive changed alternator , battery cleaned dpf was coming up on computer fuel pressure sensor so put new one in had it programmed to the car still no difference any ideas be great been told few times bout injectors but then couple people have said its not then one said about glow plugs its meltin my head just keep throwin money at it plus past we while my battery light been comin on and is like killing the battery even though its a new battery and had new alternator in it so was wondering could it be linked as would come up an say battery saver mode on and ends up car dies completely an wont start dont do it alot but has done few times

I wouldn’t have thought so but hard to say without looking
