- PORTKEYS LEYE SDI EVF- Sony, Canon, Red Komodo, BMPCC
This is bar far the best affordable Electronic View Finder on the market with these features. This will highly suit videographers and filmmakers who require an EVF because their camera does not have one. RED komodo, Canon C70, Sony FX6, FX3 are some amazing cameras that don't have an EVF. Sure, there is a time a place with EVFs and they are not always used but when they are being used they are worth their weight in gold. Portkeys have done a phenominal job with this tool.

The cheap foam is great if you wear glasses
Any cheaper option for zv e10?
The link for the EVF takes me to amazon but the finder isnt there? Plus i cant find the evf with the battery option on version without and has to be powered... So if you could help that would be great.. Thanks..
Its a good price for an EVF for sure, used to have to pay big money for a good EVF not too long ago. I'd be interested to see how a cheaper unit stacks up against the expensive units these days.
Yeah very interesting. I have never used an expensive version. Only the ones that were already on the Arri Amira and Alexa. Seems pretty damn good for a budget version though
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema Yeah sometimes a budget unit is all you need just to have a shot with no glare or a more comfortable shoulder experience. A regular application of glasses anti fog fluid is a real helpful pro tip on budget EVF's especially in the winter months coming up ;)
Would be keen to catch up some time in the next few months and show you around the Gratical Eye and see for myself how the the Portkeys compares if you are ever interested :)
Great Video Jason Morris! 100k on the way!
Thank you Steve. One of my OG followers
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema Thicker than thick than peanut butter...lol old song probably before you were born.
By any chance did you notice a rather slow refresh rate? Mine feels like 12-18-ish fps. I'm going in through the SDI port.
Hey Jason, I have a different camera to you, but had a question. How is it possible to run an external monitor and Evf together so they are both on at the same time.
I don’t use sdi so only hdmi, but curious how it’s possible?
Also have you got any tips for anti-fogging the Evf?
Thanks
What magic arm are you using? I see a few available that have a nato rail but yours looks to have a longer extension than ones I'm seeing.
I'm curious as well
this product seems to be the only affordable EVF on the market, very strange. However, I've read A LOT of reviews saying the eyepiece is unusable, but this video seems to suggest it's fine. I'm confused. Anyone out there used it?
its fine for glasses ;)
Haven't had chance to watch the video yet, but is the eyepiece swappable to a propper chamois?
No off the shelf chamois available. You can always adapt other eyecups with chamois with a 3D printed adapter ring.
ayaaa yaaaaa , a month old video .. aya ayaaaa :D 50K very soon
Hahaha shows how long ago I recorded this 😂😂😂
Now it’s 48000
or he recorded this when its was 46k ;)
