@@nukepuke932 I've been all over those dunes. In a SxS it's pretty hard to get stuck. The issue is with people jumping them or hitting rocks. You don't need much in the way of tools to repair the front suspensions unless they're bent. You could totally run the operation out of a SxS.

It's Mormon country, people help each other out a lot. Not so much in SLC where my dad and mother grew up but out in the country life was hard and my original family of Sorenson were settlers and there is a lot of history of just that kind of spirit and helping out. Team work is dream work!

I was watching a video with my uncle on his little 7" tablet, whilst he munching some greasy meat eating it by his hands full of grease . After the video ended he tried to press the like button. He ended up getting it, but straight after he un-liked it by accident. After he tried to like it again, but ended up hitting the dislike button by mistake. He didn't realized that he did , then I had to tell him. He is not disabled. So that's why many of the dislikes likely are mistakes.

@@richardelliott9511 He has plenty of traction, he doesn't have enough stored potential energy. The Corvair is substantially heavier, plus it can accelerate more quickly. That would allow him at least 4x the energy for going up the hill.

One of my favorites to this day. 🤣 Ed telling jokes, getting the customer loaded up, then running nascar laps around the dune bowl to get enough momentum to get out. Then get stuck and then the excitement of the guys in the side by sides being a part of a recovery of you and their Buggy. Then helping the guys at the end and the foot race back to the Banana.... Great stuff!!

EDs joke about the "dog/alligator" was originally in the "Saturday Evening Post" circa late 1950's as my dad loved the joke and had it cut out and pasted in a scrap book he had from that era. It's nice to know that the good jokes never die. Gotta love Ed! 😎👍
Matt needs to build a small track system that rides under the Banana located between the front and rear axles than can drop down to contact the sand for extra traction. Or add those track conversions to the rear wheels.

After watching all these videos of him getting all these vehicles unstuck that are 2-3 times the weight of his jeep like the 350s with fifth wheels it's hilarious to see these challenges especially when hes the one that needs the rescue
Up in the artic circle they use a heavy bungee rope to rescue. The rescue 4x4 sets off at speed and the energy builds in the bungee tow rope providing a soft but powerful pull on the stuck 4x4. Much less chance of ripping off a piece of chassis.
It's never perfect and this just made for another off the wall adventure story !! The infectious laughter and Ed joke makes my day !! Thanks for sharing
Matt, have you ever thought of making the broken wheels easier to deal with. Wrapping the tires individually with a smooth flexible plastic sheet or a 3'x4' plywwod sheet with plastic underneath, you could strap the broken wheels down to the sheet so they don't flop around while dragging.
