There is not an automotive combination that I look forward to more than a Catchpole / Carfection review. The quality of critique, direction and editing is second to none. Keep it up!
Mellifluous-sweet or musical; pleasant to hear. For those who are wondering. Come here for the cars, stay for the beautiful shots, history, and vocabulary.
imagine wearing cool leather jacket, piloting a spitfire plane, fighting in the biggest war there is, wining in a dangerous lethal dogfight and then landing your plane on a runway with flames either side, my testosterone level just jumped 10x just thinking about that
Huge applause for Carfection, making a video that's very entertaining even when the car is not. The previous GTS cars were special, this one is just a discount Turbo model. I particularly liked the landing strip insight, though the overview of Cayenne nomenclature was just as clutch!
From a German viewer's POV I have to say thank you. Thank you for the great content you put out, but also thanks for using words I've never heard before, enriching my vocabulary :) Today I learned "tenuous". Good stuff. Keep up the great work
Why do people insist on justifying SUVs by saying they should be driven off road. The fact that they give you an elevated view of the road and your surroundings, coupled with the ease of getting in and out of the higher seats is more than enough justification for these cars, and you never need to leave the public highway to enjoy these benefits. I have two sports cars and an SUV and I regularly choose the SUV for no other reason than the ease of ingress and egress it provides.
one of the best video I have ever seen on youtube if not the best I do not like this car at all but the fact that you r travelling and giving different kind of info is great thank you for this difference
A sublime film piece as always. I do agree with the premise of "who needs SUVs" - regardless of wether they sell well or not. To quote Mr. Slowly: "it's all a bit unnecessary"... A terribly pedantic person would note that cayenne is actually a kind of chili rather than pepper :-)
This is now the second recent new Porsche that Porsche GB have given to the influencers before Henry & Carfection. The 992 red Turbo S wearing the HUL numberplate got given to JWW and the blue cabrio has been passed from pillar to post including STG whilst the silver one went to Carwow before Henry. Now this Cayenne has also been given to influencers prior to this video. I really hope Porsche don't just follow the crowds with bland influencer marketing (from a marketeer).
Josh Williams IMO the people who watch and really enjoy Harry and team, are the people who actually buy the cars not the self exciting types who watch influencers!
Might also be a scheduling issue or when they get the final edit done, not going to lie I follow the other youtubers you've mentioned and they provide a different perspective. Mr Catchpole and the team are second to none when you think about it, doesn't really matter whether or not other UA-camrs get those cars first, everyone still ends up here.
Wonderful as ever, and I can't help but wonder what the airmen of the Second World War would have thought about a German Porsche sitting pretty at the end of their runway.
". . . or tow a jet ski, won on a game show in the 90's." Did anyone other than me catch that? I thought it was hilarious. I don't like SUV's but I love the beautiful and rare lava orange on this one. Thanks.
It's a Bremont of some sort. They are a British company that make rather expensive watches, all very nice. Just had a look at their website and the closest match right now would be the "U-2" model, which is only £3895 haha. Nice.
@@balazsgalambos4458 Hey mate, I see Henry's confirmed that. If you like Bremonts, you should watch this Watchfinder video: ua-cam.com/video/cGb7GCvQuTY/v-deo.html It's about a special edition, very interesting!
280,000 sales by Porsche? Really puts all others in to perspective. Then the car, and you're thinking it's better looking that the DBX outside and in too. Henry's diversions to salt production, actually quite interesting, but the story of FIDO is one I've never heard of. Great work by all the team for an inspiring review and superb editing (well done Charlie once again!).
Who pays for all the production cost of all these ultra high-quality videos carfection puts out? it can't be from youtube views. Kudos to you, the writing and production staff, these are youtube videos on the next level. Than you from viewers.
I think Henry has touched upon an interesting test! How would a road-focussed "sporty" SUV cope in the mud with a set of rougher tyres and no other alterations?
The way this guy reviews cars, his almost like a third person omniscient narrator or something 😂😂😂🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. He makes every car review look good, his like a poet.
I loved the shot on the airstrip, the colors and the wide angle, this yt channel reminds why i don't like the ultra edited films made by top gear and grand tour
Very impressive review, facts/interesting stuff besides cars and superb video quality; almost good enough to persuade me of the merits of a Cayenne. Almost...
Henry is wearing a really nice Bremont watch at around 5:55 in the video. Is there anyone that knows what the model is? And thanks of course for all the great videos over the years!
Previous generation N/A was a hit, this one worked in the torque department ,which old one was 500nm vs 700nm new one. I still preffer the 2013 model ,sounds awesome and you get to keep some cash. Still nice review.
Fantastic as always Henry, well done to you and the crew 👏🏻👍🏻 Where do you find your inspiration for the tidbits you sprinkle throughout your videos?! The FIDO section was fascinating but what a leap from the GTS!
SUVs are popular because the population are getting on the old side, with abit of money, so they want something to burn the traffic light drag racers, but also something that is easy to use and get into and out of.....at least that my opinion!
I find myself looking at SUVs as I want a sporty car that can tow a trailer. I don’t need a huge towing capacity as I only tow a light trackday car. A mid size estate would be perfect, but none of the high performance estates other than Alpina’s are type approved for towing. Which strikes me as utterly ridiculous. So, while I look at SUV’s I refuse to buy one and I’ll stick to my old Alpina for a while longer. Any suggestions for a fast estate that can tow 1000kg?
You are the uncommon use case in which a sporty SUV is actually the valid and rational choice. You're lucky enough to be in the market at a time in which your particular niche is being handed myriad wonderful solutions. Get the SUV, in your case there's no shame in it!
🤔Thats a tough one, I love Porsche but the SVR engine is wicked, if jaguar can improve the interior and build quality on the upcoming facelift, I'd go SVR
Henry, what a good story, and of course also the history lessons combined with the relativity of fuel consumption as well.... But a Cayenne GTS in off road isn,t the way to go, I agree....
Mr Catchpole just said 'mellifluous' while reviewing an SUV. My life is complete.
I had never heard that word before - you learn something new everyday; or at least when you tune into Carfection you do!
Never heard of 'brackish' either... this is getting embarrassing
If _Frasier_ were mixed with a car review.
spelt mellifluous
There is not an automotive combination that I look forward to more than a Catchpole / Carfection review.
The quality of critique, direction and editing is second to none.
Keep it up!
Absolutely brilliant filming, narrating, editing - just a fantastic video as always 👏
Henry could review a potato and it would still be fantastic.
This definitely wasn't filmed using a potato.
These SUV's are sort of shaped like potatoes.
You dont like potatoes...😉
The original Cayenne design was inspired by a potato. If you look closely you can still see the spud dna still in it.
Mellifluous-sweet or musical; pleasant to hear.
For those who are wondering.
Come here for the cars, stay for the beautiful shots, history, and vocabulary.
Thank you!
He's a bit pretentious for my tastes.
@@zekezero12345 There's zero pretense. Henry's way is cheerful enthusiasm.
The graphics on this is just *chef's kiss*
Stunning stuff as always from Henry and the Carfection team.

The base model of any Porsche will do just fine
I love my Porsche Cayenne Turbo. It is great 500 horsepower daily drive.

Drove one of these for the first time yesterday and could not believe the way it handled (especially in Sport+) - an outstanding piece of kit!
Fantastic video as always! Really been enjoying the history portions of recent videos, especially those related to aviation. Keep it up and great job!
Another great review, Henry! Favourite Auto channel on YT!
I would love to see a Porsche Macan reworked by the GT division, with the cayenne's v8 twin turbo.

That was awesome!! Finally a something different from the Cheyenne GTS videos going around
Always a balanced opinion and always well produced / filmed and an added bonus to touch on history & link it with the car.

Mellifluous. Something electric cars can only dream of.

Can’t decide if I’ve been watching a history lesson or a car review. Great stuff guys 👍
Is that Steven Wilson in the background around 7:50? Sounds hell of a lot like it. Once again, nice video, although I'm not a fan of the car
Porsche Cheyenne has no competition, it’s best Suv on the market when it comes to driving experience no any other Suv can be compared
Brilliant video and an excellent history lesson to boot!

SUV's ain't my thing but the fact Cayenne changed Porsche's sales in the whole world and the little Macan as well can't be denied!
Saved the company and has made it possible for them to put cash in to R&D for their sports cars and the electric lineup.
