Winds of Change?
*Laughs in Tzeentch*
I am not used to you being so goddamn well read and speak so well thought out sentences when not in the game getting distracted by in game events
yeah, I haven't watched Laith for a few months, and suddenly he just seemed more mature, while looking younger for some reason. Kinda weird at first, but I like it.
What I hope for with eu5 is that we have actual strategic goods. Something to go for, for a specific reason. All we really have in eu4 is gold.
The obsidian idea just made me realize that about the functionality same goods we currently have.
i mean... you do get specific bonuses for controlling x amount of trade of a good
@@goranpersson7726 That's more of a benefit to world conquest (or hyper isolated goods in the East), as opposed to something that you actively hunt to seize and exploit, like Gold is.
@@SangoProductions213 or you make a trade empire and expand your trade influence in regions with those trade goods, boost production of said trade good in your own country. you can get them without the world conquest part. for a lot of them you simply need a trade post and some ships
DLC : gimme your money
Judging recent paradox sequels you don’t want a eu5 rn
19:25 Yeah, for example one of the reasons for why the Dutch diverged from the rest of Germany was their trade empire.
Also a unified Germany as we have it today wasn't as clear cut as some people might think, or that Austria wouldn't be part of it.
The by far most interesting part is your thoughts and opinions on game design and historical interpretation in eu4. Seriously. Showcasing dev diaries means nothing unless we actually discuss them, which is exactly what you’re doing 👏
Venice was my first successful campaign. I labored really hard to beat Otto, then take on the Mamluks to gain access to the red sea and from there go colonizing in India and the Moluccas, it was so much fun. I'm very excited to play it again.
Mt first successful game in Eu4 was with Sicily, not Trinacria, but sicily. And that's what it should be called for eu5
@@Onzo22 I'm only sorry I didn't play ironman back then.
its honestly surreal that eu4 is almost done. For me Eu4 was the first and only europa game i've played and really know anything about, im sure eu1 2 and 3 exist but i've never really seen or heard anything about them.
Having a new eu game will be an experience tbh.
1.40 is likely to be the last patch EU4 does
I feel like all the dlc since leviathan have been practice for Paradox Tinto, so when they do make Eu5 they know what Europa players want in a Europa Universalis. We can all remember how bad Leviathan was, but its just been banger after banger ever since Lions of the north. I think Tinto has been practicing for eu5 on eu4 dlc. They don't want to make another Imperator Rome. A game that has gone through so many reworks, its simply not even the same game as it was on release.
Here's to hoping! Honestly, eu4 will always be a good game no matter what happens during early eu5, so I'm not too worried
The triple horde formation campaign would be dope with other folks
Agree so much with you harping on the trap of determinism. It’s a great source for content but ahistorical courses of action are much more fun. I do hope that EU5 will take inspiration from Imperators mission trees - just waay more content.
Personally most excited for Hisn Kayfa and Theodoro, but also Timmies/Mughals. I’ve never gotten into horde game play but I’ll give it another try with Kazan.
Anyway looking forward to your EU5 dev diary coverage!
We've come a long, long way from Missions being one of three randomly generated goals to pick from every 10 or so years.
Paradox has announced 8th of May will be the release date
my birthday !
@@vonwthaud289exactly 1 week before mine.
Just wanted to say I really enjoyed hearing your ideas on EU4 game design.
Bro i just pirates 1.36 💀😭😭😭😭😭
Well bad timing
Well maybe buy it
@@332DeathEater my ass is too broke for monthly subscriptions
just buy the base game and pirate the dlc's, its very easy
@@BobbiusRossius I already have
You look so familiar and for a long time I could not figure out why. I started to rewatch Star Trek recently. I finished Voyager, and just finished NG, and I started watch Deep Space Nine, and now I know why you look familiar... you look like the doctor. You look exactly like Alexander Siddig to me lmao
would be fun to see a threeway trade empire game with who can take the most land
It's coming... The day where you will play a Fire Emblem Game... In loke 2 years but STILL! Day 203
They should give opole and glogau a mission that activates when their capitals turn Hussite. The mission reward would be to make a center of reformation.
I follow the Moskva,
Down to Gorky Park ...
Listening to this updaaatteee (I'm so happy I've seen this comment btw)
Round numbers are pretty cool.
"It feels like it came off a mod" Yeah it does! Not necessarily bad but i'm always wondering if anyone has noticed how violently Anbennar mind raped the devs? Because every new DLC adds content that strives to feel like Anbennar (which basically shamed the devs into realizing the many many things they could be doing but just weren't with existing system)
This is gonna be a good year for games, manor lords, kcd 2 now eu5
Nice hair
Guys what headset is our boy using i love the looks of it?
Gonna enjoy myself some horsemen of the apocalypse Timurids on release. :D
Does downloading eu4 give all the DLCs where do you have to continuously download them separately which will be quite tedious and inefficient
This is an insane amount of content for a single DLC right? I get that this is the last hurrah so they’re going to everything they were thinking of and working on but this is a lot.
MY FAVORITE BOHEMIA OMG. YEEEEAH. CAN'T WAIT😮
The Netherlands gonna be an fun one
Are they going to change the colour of Fars for a final time?
im hyped for the mughals changes
Day 243 of asking for an Oranje Free State Playthrough of Vicky 3.
il support your goal
41:30 finally rainbow fars
But is there a wind of change in Paradox dlc policy?
Venice was not egalitarian at all. It was a giga-oligarchy, even as it expanded the patrician class remained extremely limited. Novgorod, in that regard, was magnitudes more democratic
day 9 & 10 of demanding laith to play boi in imperator rome
It's a shame that India never really got content, hope they get a bit more love in eu5
Laith just OIL UP on camera uncensored (day 2)
I just like the hordes man
Everyone except England and France! We need more Angevin missions 🤣🤣
as a final tribute ti eu4 do a world conqeust without diplo relations or taking one province per war
Laith can you confirm if it's may 8? That's the rumor I've heard.
New DLC with tons of content for tons of nations ? Great !
*Continues to exclusively play Morocco*
steam says release date: is Coming 8 May, 2024
Question is, Is the Wind (of Change) pushing you?
They only give Genoa and Venice content
Naples, Florence, Milan need love too
Maybe even the Pope
When Factorio again?
Release date is May 8
But Tunis isn't getting an update Laith!
Carthage must become formable in EU4!!
Wind of chaaaaange 🎸🦂
Final DLC? They never mentioned that, there's still lots more to cover I think. EU5 won't be out for a WHILE
I want the final EU4 patch to be patch 1.44.4
Before Domination the devs mentioned that they only had 2-3 dlc's on the horizon. WoC is the third dlc since then so it's a natural assumption. Also considering what Johann has said in Tinto Talks its possible that EuV was alredy in development way before that 2-3 dlc statement was made and there is no reason to launch a dlc for EUIV too close to EuV release or annoucement since that would just encourage people to not buy the dlc.
@@gabrieldossantos1116 EU5 isn't out for a good few years. I think we will have a final definitive DLC that covers absolutely everything that hasn't been covered yet (there's still a lot). EU5 isn't ready to be annouced yet so the best way for Tinto to continue making money is via DLC.
@@Arthur-jx8bm There was roughly 2 years between the final CK2 DLC and CK3 so there is precedence for this.
@@Arthur-jx8bmit’s difficult to say in which stage of development EU5 is right now, but I do expect that the entire content team working on WoC will switch to EU5 after its release. There might be some bug fixes after, some small passion project updates for a few countries left behind.
But as the mechanics of EU5 get more fleshed out the focus will be on creating a content-rich release EU5 and that’s desperately needed.
I sure hope it's the last one.
Damn 8071 views in 5 hours laith fell left
Im inside your walls
Maybe just Universalis 5?
Ok there Rami Malek
Eu5 has said there'll be no mission trees, no stacking modifiers and initially said no unique estates or privileges before backpedalling. I'm genuinely worried about how they plan to introduce any flavour to this game. Like I think it's the biggest thing that currently stops me enjoying Vic3 is how flavourless it feels. But they almost seem to be trying to remove flavour to chase realistic pop mechanics
they said it won't have the eu4 style of mission trees, not that there won't be any at all. Also I wouldn't call what they did with the estates "backpedaling" as the entire point of the tinto talks is to talk about the game that is being developed to receive community feedback. Currently they're going through the game's features and soon they're going to start posting pictures of the map specifically to get user feedback,
In response to the question "Will EU4 type mission trees make a reappearance in Project Caesar (definitely not EU5)?" Johan answered "no. there will very likely be another type and style of mission trees."
KURDISH EMPIRE
why do you look like paul atreides with that haircut
You look like Alexander the Great
And Ireland is still contentless with the shitty end goal of forming shitty Britain. An insult so that is.
cilli mission tree or eu4 is incomplete
3 seconds ago is CRAZY 🤣

Day 2 of asking Laith to play the Colthaginian Republic in Equestria at War (HOI4)
Damn I'm fast 😎
me too 😔
Do a backflip
Finally Laith fixed his hair and doesn't look like an old Russian lady
I am many years away from wanting EU5, and Imperator Rome, VIC3, and CK3 have all been shit. This does not look good.
day 9 (1 week 2 days) of asking for laith to play march of the eagles.
A very wide-reaching DLC.
Day 3 of lying about how many days ive commented this
Only Albania did anything noteworthy against the Ottomans. Research how many true battles Moldavia, Wallachia and Serbia had against the Ottomans, not many.
THE TIMIS WHERESO Y RUDE THEY DID KINDA BLOB IN HISTORY.
3 minutes and no only 165 views? you fell off 😔
3 years and -50 views? you fell off 😔
laith play romania
3 views in 1 minute you fell off
That DLC is gonna be huge, I have to make myself a picture first, but looks like its gonna be good. Will definitely play as Hansa or Oman as I love little rich trading nations.
