non med! you can take a masters in physiology and then do a masters in physiotherapy, which will take about 6 years! i do know that USYD offers a 5 year programme for physiotherapy!
Prerequisites in SA are physics and biology, but that may be different in other states. Also, the lady mentioned the same thing in the video. Check out the degree in the Uni sites
In Australia physiotherapists are front-line healthcare workers. Unlike in most of the USA. So many people do actually go to see a physio before a GP, as most GP's have far less knowledge around musculoskeletal injuries and rehab and will likely just give you some antiinflammatory over the counter drugs and tell you to rest. Many injuries will only get better with movement and progressive overload, if you just rest, you could set yourself up for future disability in many respects.

They're the same. The term may vary upon a place. If I'm not mistaken, "PHYSIO" is used in Australia.
