I just started Ozempic for weight loss today. I had it in my fridge for 2 months because I was afraid of giving myself the injection. Thanks to your video I got my nerve up and did it today. Super easy and no pain!! Thank you so much for this video!
Please let me know how you feel. I'm worried about nausea, but I bought some chewy ginger chews for that at CVS. I hope they work. They were in the nausea section
OMG, thank you for this video!! Even my pharmacist told me to find a UA-cam video on how to use!! Your video was VERY clear, easy to understand, and simple step by step instructions. No annoying music or 30 minute annoying intro. You are "straight to the point"!! Thanks again!
I have diabetes and my doctor said this was once a week and it made me so happy. I got it on Friday and found the directions confusing. I searched how to do Ozempic injections on YT and found this video. You are a great teacher in how to do this, thank you! I did my first injection today (Sunday) and this will be the day each week I do it. I’ll watch the video each time until I’m comfortable in flying solo. Thanks for all you do! To help us novices be able to self inject. May my A1C and sugars fall to healthy levels now! ❤
First of all, here me out, I cried from anixety when my doctor prescribed me ozempic. I am a person who is scared of needles. I can't stand to look at it - my anxiety goes crazy! Watching this video helped a lot and I thank you very much! For those who are like me and cannot for their lives even look at needles or be poked by one, trust me, you will NOT feel it! I had to ensure I even poked the needle in skin b.c. that's how painless it was. I didn't feel a burning sensation either. Thank you!!!
This was extremely helpful! And for those fearing that first injection let me put you at ease. I sat for several minutes trying to build up the courage to stick a needle in my body. Once I finally did it felt like a bit of a let down because I didn’t even feel the needle. Not that I wanted it to hurt but you go through that emotional buildup you expect something after that stress. Never felt it!
There are many tutorials on u tube on how to inject ozempic but yours is the best. Thank you, your instructions are so clear and articulate. I start Ozempic tomorrow.
Although I’ve been injecting Ozempic since September, I watch your tutorial every time before injecting. I don’t want to get lazy and miss a step. Thank you for such a thorough tutorial.
@Angel 110 I eat like 1-2 meals anyway. I have had any change yet. I'm sleeping better. I don't feel hungry. I think the diabetes meds were making me hungry, as I was starting to get hungry pains. I haven't lately. I'm a new diagnosed diabetic so I just started taking meds for it like 3 months now.
@Angel 110 my habits haven't changed. I eat like 1 to 2 meals a day anyway. Plenty of fruit. I just did my 2nd injection ( in the thigh). I just weighed myself I'm 223. So we shall see.
April 2023 I was just switched to ozempic a few weeks ago. I messed up 3 injections. First I didn’t take the little cap off. Next a good part of the medication was lost due to improper needle insertion. Then I somehow broke the pen. Your video is an absolute masterpiece! My pharmacist said so. Lol. From my heart i thank you.
Thanks for sharing your comment because today was my first time using the pen and yes I did the absolute same thing you did. I am so mad at myself for not looking at this video. Now I guess I will have to wait until I can get a refill to begin taking it.😢
I hate needles. Tonight was my first time using Ozempic. My pharmacist explained the basics, but told me there were UA-cam videos to watch it being done. Your video was fantastic. You talked me through it step by step. I was successful and it didn't hurt. Thanks for making this video.
Thank you so much. I was freaking out because the pen made noises each time I twisted either side. I was afraid I was doing the wrong thing or wasting the liquid. This video helped so much. The most important thing to know, for me, is that you can move the dial back and forth, it doesn't "lock" so don't be afraid you may have gone past the setting you need, you can go back. The "flow check" indicator is easy to miss, and that's fine, again, you can move the dial back.
Just getting started using this and even as a 40+ year RN, the written instructions were ....were...too much. Your video put it in straightforward, easy steps and now...let's do it. Thanks
Terrible instructions on Ozempic packaging. Found this video and it was so easy. Thank you for great video imaging, easy verbal instructions, and confidence in doing the injection with clear, concise visual instructions.
I have been on Ozempic for five weeks now - I have completed the four weeks at 0.25mg injections 1x week and have taken my first 0.50mg injection 1 x week. I have zero problem giving myself an injection since my pharmacist walked me through the steps on how to inject when I picked up my first prescription. So far I have had nausea and some abdominal cramping as side effects. I am about to order my next refill because I like having more ready before I totally use up one prescription, especially if I only have one weekly dose left. Thank you for your videos. I have liked and subscribed to your channel. You have a clear and easy to understand way of teaching that I appreciate. It is hard to wait for May when I have my next scheduled A1C blood draw to see how Ozempic is doing for bringing down my numbers but I will take the early victory of losing 7 lbs so far!!
@@NursingBizness Hi again, it is now May 7th and I just got my A1C results back. With Ozempic I went from 7.4 down to 6.8. I have now lost a total of 11 lbs so far as well. I have been on Ozempic since late February so I may have to go up to the 1mg shot but my doctor and I will decide that when I see him on the 16th of this month. I know he will be pleased with the weight loss and the reduction in my A1C. Neither figure is low enough in my opinion right now although I do feel better now that the side effects have finally subsided. 👋 😎
It took me a month to finally do my first shot (0.25). Although I’d watched your video (which is perfect, btw), I was still scared I’d do something wrong. So, I watched it again last week and went for it. Tonight was my second one and you better believe you guided me here again. Thank you SO much!!! ♥️
I’ve been so scared to do my first Ozempic shot. It’s been in my fridge for a few days. But your video give me the courage to just do it. It was so easy, no pain. Your video was a great help.
I just started my Ozempic for Type 2 diabetes. I watched another video, and I didn't hold for 6 seconds. Today was my 3rd week injection. Thank you for your video.
I'm so glad I found this and I'm even more glad that it was a registered nurse that did the video, because today is the first day of my taking this injection and so I'm excited
THANK YOU! I just went back to Walgreens to have the pharmacist show me and he had no idea because he had never opened a box.HETOLD ME TO LOOK ON UA-cam! ARRE YOU KIDDIONG ME?! So I did and found BEAUTIFUL YOU! That's the best adsvice from that pharmacist I'll ever get! 1st injection in the books thanks to you!!🙂
Thank you so much, I just took my second injection at home with your guidance. My first was at the medical centre with a nurse, but a week is a long time so I wanted to be guided again to make sure I was doing it correctly and your video was just perfect for that! I'm going to be watching this every week until I'm confident. Thank you thank you, from Australia!!!
Just picked up my prescription yestrday. Went over and over the paper insert with instructions but still was nervous and unclear. Your video has made me more confident. I'll start with my first injection tomorrow morning. Thank you so much!
The BEST tutorial that I have come across and done in such a calm and reassuring manner. Here’s to all those who are on this journey. May it be a healthy and blessed one
THANK YOU!!!!! I have NEVER even pricked my finger at home much less give myself an injection. I wasted the first dosage by pressing the botton holding the pen sideways in the air! Lol Real smart. I watched your video the night before I got my first pen. And I put you on repeat for my first try. Nothing to it but to do it! Teeny tiny needle. No pain. I will play your video once a week to remind myself what to do. You shouldve seen the first dosage fly through the air. Lol Learning! Thank you. God bless you!!!! ❤❤❤❤
I want to thank you for making this very informative video. I started using ozemic a little over a month ago and I saved this video onto my phone so I could just go back and refer to it each time I have to inject. I feel like you're a bit of a lifesaver.
I did it today I didn't hit the pen for the liquor to come out but hopefully but I have a question when does it start the side effects and if I don't see if I don't see a doctor
@@whaynnaaraujo637 I took mine Fri night (it's mon evening now) and I've felt mostly fine. Barely hungry, when I am it doesn't take much to fill me. If I eat past that point I get nauseated. That's about the only side effect I've had.
Thank you just started Ozempic and had to get my first injection at my doctors office cause I had done the injection without the needle my nerves got the best of me but today I did my second injection all by myself through this you tube video.
I just gave my 2nd Ozempic injection. I watched your video 3 times before my 1st injection, and when I gave it, I stopped the vid with each step. It was a breeze. This time, I watched it again and stopped it as I needed to. Thanks for such a helpful video. The needle is painless and the administration is simple, but it's nice to have that comforting instruction so I don't miss a step.
My wife (RN) typically gives me my injection. She's out of town and I don't want to call and bother her, so I watched your video. Thank you so much for posting this! It really helped!
I put off my very first shot for a month because I didn't know how to do it and was a bit afraid. I didn't want to take up an entire doc appointment just for her to show me how to do it. Thank you so much for explaining and showing how to do it from beginning to end with no frills, but with the art of a true teacher. Fantastic nursing!!! Thank you for taking the fear out of it. I had to laugh at myself when I was done, how at easy it turned out to be and didn't even feel the tiny needle!
I am so glad I found this video. You are a much better instructor than my pharmacist or the printed instructions. I kind of think with the first pain free injection I didn't get all the medication. However going forward thanks to your tutorial I'll be able to perform my other 5 injections perfectly. Can't waste this expensive stuff. Thank you again for providing this valuable information. You are appreciated.
Neither the nurse practitioner nor doctor would give me instructions on the very medication my doctor ordered. I would have been lost without you giving step by step directions on giving myself Ozempic. I have been on it since January; A1C down, weight is down, leg swelling gone, and everything is perfect thanks to your video. Bless you
I was really scared. At the doctors, they bacically gave me Ozembic and said I had a prrescription for testing supplies. On to the next patient! Being newly diagnosed with diabetes, I was really scared. Thank you so much for making this video. You really made a difference for me!
Thank you! I am starting Ozempic today and your video was the BEST one to simply explain how to give the injection. It took away my anxiety about giving myself injections. A+ video!
@@waquar905 it has worked fine for me. I went from 249lbs to a current 233lbs in 3 months and I am not even trying hard. The biggest effect is the decrease in appetite. Don't really want food much and I don't overeat. I have felt no after effects. But it is only a tool, not a miracle. You have to still eat better meals, move around more and change how you deal with food.
When I looked at the huge paper of tiny instructions, I said, I'm going to look for a video. I watched yours and now I feel much more prepared to do the injection. The nurse showed me how it works, but she didn't go over every step the way you did. Thank you for making this video! 🌹
My Ozempic sat in the refrigerator for a month because I'm afraid of needles as well but after watching your video, I can finally conjure up the courage to inject myself. Thank you for the video no pain no gain.
I've just done my second dose and appreciate so much your video so I can be sure I'm completing every step. I agree with the previous commentator. You have been a lifesaver. I have confidence in doing it on my own.
Thank you so much for doing this video!I did not know it would be this easy!I was scared and I hate needles! Love that you used a lemon that made me & my family laughed!
Thank you. I was calibrating every time (not just the first time with a new pen) to check the flow!! Wasting medication because it was squirting out. Also I didn’t realize I was supposed to hold down the dose injector button at the top for an ADDITIONAL 6 seconds after it was done. I thought just leave it in for an extra 6 seconds- but I wasn’t holding down the button.
Many many thanks for this video!! After watching the video it became as easy as ABC. Once I got delivery I was swamped with instructions. Even the pharmacist advised me to go to a health facility to get the first injection. Then I came to your video the instructions was to the point and crystal clear.and it saved my time, money and the associated hassles.
I started Ozempic ,last week and wow !!! I’ve had so much energy, no sugar cravings !! And less aches in my joints ,trying my best to eat clean and drink lots of water starting weight last week was 126kg today weighed 124,8kg lost 1,2 kg in 1 week 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I’m a diabetic and metformin was too rough on my tummy so my Dr changed my dose and included ozempic. I’ve never had to give myself an injection for anything before and I am scared of messing this up. So I will be watching and following this video step by step until I’m comfortable 😂 THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS
I just started ozempic today. Watched your video twice. Then watched it as you walked me through my first injection. Easier than I ever imagined!! Thank you for your video.
I was just prescribed Ozempic on yesterday and took my first dose last night. I struggled with giving myself the shot and found it Video. Thank you for such clear instructions!
I just started OZEMPIC yesterday. I read on how to do this.! I was on a different shot for my type 2 Diabetes but they been having trouble getting it. So I decided to talk with my Dr and she put me on this one. Thanks for sharing this video. It will help so many who need a Lil help. Great plus is that it help me loose weight but my goal is to keep my sugar level in great shape. Yes on the another shot help me lose weight. So again thanks for this video.
Thank you so much for this video, it’s so helpful! I love that it’s to the point and visually & aurally tells the steps so I can follow along. I just took my first dose tonight and was terrified of 1) doing it wrong and wasting doses, 2) possible pain (I hate needles lol), and 3) possible side effects to come. You’ve helped me overcome 2 of the 3 now, so here’s hoping I manage the side effects well and that all my issues with blood sugar, cholesterol, weight, etc etc come under control and allow me to live my life in some ease again. Thank you! ❤
Thank you for creating this video. I just starting using ozempic. This is week 2 and seeing how easy it is to inject myself is helpful. So far, I haven't had a lot of side effects, which is great.
@@NursingBizness I am doing well. I am losing about 2 pounds a week, typically. I did have a few side-effects, but only after start the 0.5 dose began. My side effects were feelings of nauseaum and twice I vomitted. The vomitting happened the following day after an injection, but has since stopped.
Thank you! The only instructions my doctor gave me were talk to the pharmacist, and the pharmacist said absolutely nothing. Without your video, I would have no idea what I was doing.
Even though it's been a few weeks I still come here weekly so I don't miss a step. Thanks so much for this very helpful tutorial!!! I go for my labs tomorrow and will let you know how/if they have improved
I can update in more detail now that it's been almost 3 months. I started Sep. 12th and weighed exactly 169. Lbs I immediately started seeing results losing about 4.5 pounds weekly. Taking the lowest dose I never felt any nausea or any symptom. It was easier to fast 16 - 18 hours and eat only the recommended portions or even less because I wasn't hungry at all. Today is Dec. 10th and I am 136. Lbs. Still using up the last bit of my Ozempic pen. I calculate another 3 shots so 3 more weeks. I feel great, fit into my old size 7 clothes comfortably. I had a full suitcase in storage of clothes that were too small 😅 Nos they fit. Once in a while I miss my noodles so I only consume Konjac noodles. And when I want a sweet, I eat 3 dates or prunes. I also take vitamin D and K after I snack on 8 cashews. I'm scared to feel excessive hunger once my Ozempic is finished but hope that because my stomach has shrunk a lot I'll be able to keep my healthy lifestyle. Water and coffee have also helped a lot to curb any appetite or cravings. Hope this helps somewhat.
Forgot to also mention that originally I wanted to go down to 130 but 135 lbs is better for my height of 5.2 The last 5 lbs are a pain in the butt! I lost most of the weight in 2 months. The last 5 are taking a whole month! You have to stick to your diet and walk or swim the last bit is stubborn
Super clear and simple instructions. Thank you! I just started tonight and nobody showed me how, although I had to administer other insulin injections to people I was looking after.
First, I AM TERRIFIED OF NEEDLES. Your video and the comments really helped me. My husband did the injection because i was so frightened. I didn't feel a thing! Maybe next time i will do it myself! Thank you!
Thanks for the video! Gave myself my first injection today after watching your video and had no problems. Didn't hurt at all and turned out to be easier than I thought!
Started Ozempic in October. Already lost 14 pounds because I'm not hungry all the time anymore! Simple and informative video. Very easy to follow instructions. Thank you. March 13, 2023 Good news and bad news: Lost another 10 pounds. Insurance won't cover my Ozempic anymore. Gonna use my last dose this week, then I'm starting Victoza next week. Insurance will cover Victoza to a degree...
Whew, this is THE video!! Thanks so much! I’ve had the pen for about a week and I was scared to do it. I have watched this about 15 times and finally felt comfortable lol … this was the absolute best, “how to” video‼️
Best video demo out of the many I have seen. No one else said that the dosage check should be done only once when the pen is new/unused--a question I've had for a long time. Thanks! The med is expensive and I worried about wasting any amount.
Thank you! I have been procrastinating taking my first dose for 2 weeks now because I have been so apprehensive. I have no more fears because of your fantastic explanation and demonstration.
@@selin_ma NO! Start it today…trust me, you will need the weekend to recover. For about 2-3 days I feel like I am constantly seasick 🤢. Thank God for Zofran! They say that will diminish in time but I definitely would not start on a Monday…those days already stink enough haha 😂

My pharmacist tried really hard to explain this to me, but I was so confused. Thank you for the video! I'm terrified of the side effects and to do the shot but I think I can do it now. ❤
Quick question… do you use the pen once? Does one pay for different pens? And then you get different syringes and vials? I got a doctor who is selling it for £250 per pen and I’m just trying to figure out if it’s once per week and have to use it for a couple of month and the pens as single use then that’s expensive
@NursingBizness so glad I watched the video. I was able to help a lady at a pharmacy in Las Vegas. I work at a PBM and got a call from a lady who didn't take off the inner cap. I referred her to your video after I explained where she could find the video.

Thank you for your video. I have started a week ago (came to the professional pharmacist and did all at her supervision), and the pharmacist recommended me to look this procedure on YT. Your video is very helpful, I like that all is straightforward and no time waste. Today is my second time (and yes, before I was very afraid to do it myself).
it was suggested to me, that you should take the pen out of the fridge for 10 minutes let it get closer to room temp, and the test flow, point the needle down, to let the drop of ozempic fall OFF the needle, rather than coat the outside of the needle, for people with possible reactions to their skin

Hi, thanks for the wonderful instructional videos. I gave myself my first Ozempic injection one week ago. I’m hoping to better control my A1C. The evening after the injection I started to feel very unwell. I had such severe gas pains that we thought I was going to pass out as I became so very pale. I was also very nauseous. I took gas-x and Zofran that I so happened to have. Nothing worked and the diarrhea was extreme and then vomiting. This went on for 2 1/2 days. I missed 2 days of work. At first I thought this was side effects and then thought I must of had some sort of gastroenteritis. Now, after reading many comments I’m afraid it may have been side effects. I just gave myself my 2nd injection and am very worried this may happen again this week. Any thoughts much appreciated. 😊

Terrible instructions on Ozempic packaging. Found this video and it was so easy. Thank you for great video imaging, easy verbal instructions, and confidence in doing the injection with clear, concise visual instructions.
Thank you! 😁
7 pounds is a great start! Definitely keep in touch to share your A1c results. Thanks for the kind words! ♥️
@@NursingBizness Thanks, I will definitely come back to share my A1C results. 😁
This is excellent! I’m so proud of you for sticking with it - your results are amazing. I bet you feel amazing 😀
@Dana Biryukova did you ever get an answer to your ?
From one Nurse Practitioner to another, thanks for the great content!
It took me a month to finally do my first shot (0.25). Although I’d watched your video (which is perfect, btw), I was still scared I’d do something wrong. So, I watched it again last week and went for it. Tonight was my second one and you better believe you guided me here again. Thank you SO much!!! ♥️

I just started my Ozempic for Type 2 diabetes. I watched another video, and I didn't hold for 6 seconds.
Today was my 3rd week injection. Thank you for your video.
I was terrified of using ozempic. Of doing something wrong. But your tutorial is a massive help!
How has it worked for you?
Did you have to use an organic lemon, or is non organic OK?
I read the instructions that came with it and the paper is so big it looks like a map! Your video made it so much simpler! Thank you!
I'm so glad I found this and I'm even more glad that it was a registered nurse that did the video, because today is the first day of my taking this injection and so I'm excited

Awesome to hear! Glad it was helpful 😎
Just picked up my prescription yestrday. Went over and over the paper insert with instructions but still was nervous and unclear. Your video has made me more confident. I'll start with my first injection tomorrow morning. Thank you so much!
Thank you, I started ozimpic tonight. The actual written instructions were confusing. You made it easy.
What a sweet message - thank you so much for watching! 🥰😁
I’ve been using Ozempic for a month now because of your video I realized I was using the pen improperly thank you so much for posting this
I want to thank you for making this very informative video. I started using ozemic a little over a month ago and I saved this video onto my phone so I could just go back and refer to it each time I have to inject. I feel like you're a bit of a lifesaver.
I just started my Ozempic journey. Your video gave me the courage to take my first shot! So easy, no pain. Thank you, for clear and easy instructions
You’ve got this! You are going to do great 😌
How's it going?? I'm so scared of side effects!

That’s awesome. Best of luck 😎
That’s awesome! Nurses are always on-call for family/friends 😃
ITS GOING TO BE MY FIRST TIME USING, SO I DECIDED TO FIND A VIDEO, AND FOUND YOURS, IT WAS LOTS OF HELP. THANK YOU.
It’s such a tiny needle, isn’t it?!? 😎
Do you keep using same pin
Neither the nurse practitioner nor doctor would give me instructions on the very medication my doctor ordered. I would have been lost without you giving step by step directions on giving myself Ozempic. I have been on it since January; A1C down, weight is down, leg swelling gone, and everything is perfect thanks to your video. Bless you
I was really scared. At the doctors, they bacically gave me Ozembic and said I had a prrescription for testing supplies. On to the next patient! Being newly diagnosed with diabetes, I was really scared. Thank you so much for making this video. You really made a difference for me!
Thank you for the kind words!
Thank you! I am starting Ozempic today and your video was the BEST one to simply explain how to give the injection. It took away my anxiety about giving myself injections.
A+ video!
How was your experience? Did you lost some weight?
@@waquar905 it has worked fine for me. I went from 249lbs to a current 233lbs in 3 months and I am not even trying hard. The biggest effect is the decrease in appetite. Don't really want food much and I don't overeat.
I have felt no after effects. But it is only a tool, not a miracle. You have to still eat better meals, move around more and change how you deal with food.
Thank you so much, it’s bizarre they prescribe without any guidance
When I looked at the huge paper of tiny instructions, I said, I'm going to look for a video. I watched yours and now I feel much more prepared to do the injection. The nurse showed me how it works, but she didn't go over every step the way you did. Thank you for making this video! 🌹
My Ozempic sat in the refrigerator for a month because I'm afraid of needles as well but after watching your video, I can finally conjure up the courage to inject myself. Thank you for the video no pain no gain.

Thank you so much for doing this video!I did not know it would be this easy!I was scared and I hate needles! Love that you used a lemon that made me & my family laughed!
So glad it went well!
Thank you. I was calibrating every time (not just the first time with a new pen) to check the flow!! Wasting medication because it was squirting out. Also I didn’t realize I was supposed to hold down the dose injector button at the top for an ADDITIONAL 6 seconds after it was done. I thought just leave it in for an extra 6 seconds- but I wasn’t holding down the button.
that keeps happening to me? what am I doing wrong?
Many many thanks for this video!! After watching the video it became as easy as ABC. Once I got delivery I was swamped with instructions. Even the pharmacist advised me to go to a health facility to get the first injection. Then I came to your video the instructions was to the point and crystal clear.and it saved my time, money and the associated hassles.

Took my first shot today. Completely painless and easy. This video was def helpful in setting the pen up with simple instructions. Thank you!
I had my first shot ever today. I weigh 165. Lbs. Want to go down to 130. We'll see how it goes 😊
may I ask if there are any progress? :/ I'm about to do my first injecting now@@AHJ135
I took my first dose today also. I’m 220 hoping to get down to 130.
I can update in more detail now that it's been almost 3 months.
I started Sep. 12th and weighed exactly 169. Lbs
I immediately started seeing results losing about 4.5 pounds weekly.

Great advice! Thanks for sharing 🙂
