Some you keep, some you throw away! Other instructors sometimes act like you already know this and don’t need it described and shown accurately. Or explained. Sometimes when things are explained I can figure out what I’m looking at.

Advice from a diabetic (14 years experience)
Don’t listen to that crap ! The nurse is right ! Use the needle multiple times before throwing it !
They tell us that because they want us to buy more and more and fill their greedy pockets !
Also, to save my insulin, I only take out 1 unit in the beginning! Not 2 !
The aim is to check if the pen is working properly !

How can you properly inject it to someone that won’t hurt them? My dad tells me that it hurts when i inject his insulin. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong…

So, hold the area where you’re going to inject between your fingers and pinch it a bit up so you create a hump ! Then inject slowly and steadily ! If it hurts, make sure the needle is new and sharp !
