my fave part is when Wander is facing Dr. Screwball Jones and Sylvia is like "THIS is who you think is the most dangerous villain in the galaxy?" and Hater is like "He WHAT?!?!"
This scene is surprisingly powerful. Lord Hater's powers are fueled by hate, so Wander knew comforting him would be the worst thing to do. People become better by breaking down and building back up, and although Hater's broken heart would have led him to be a better person in the end, Wander knew that the only way they would survive long enough for that to happen is by goading him into his former, egotistic self that hides his self-loathing with essentially narcissism.
Two minutes and fifty seconds and we see how much of a deep character Wander is. He wants to make Hater feel better after his heartbreak but also needs to get both of them to safety and knows EXACTLY how to make Hater snap.
This song perfectly represents the show. From trying to cheer Hater up, to just plain annoying him to death, Wander will always be there for our favorite charismatic dictator. Loved this show, and couldn't have ended more perfectly!

Right? From 0:11 to 0:30. (Excluding that banjo snap) 19 seconds of silence is an eternity in a cartoon. especially an 11 minute comedy. But it just gives that time to let the characters feel. Which is also huge for a show about navigating feelings like this one.
There are SO many things I love about this scene. I love that Wander knows EXACTLY what he's doing here and just doing his normal annoy Hater with niceness thing. I love that he all but admits that he will NEVER stop trying to befriend Hater no matter how much he hates him. I love that Hater legit asks him nicely to stop. Like has he actually EVER done that before? I love that I'm legit now convinced they are all friends and Hater just doesn't know it it. I love how even Sylvia seems to consider them friends at this point and I love that they literally all escape on her back. I just...I love this show. I love this character. I remember playing this in my head everytime a particularly mean customer would go on their way after insulting and yelling at me for things i had no control over. it helped a lot with soothing the anxiety and preventing me from just breaking in front of customers, thinking about how wander would probably try to cheer me up too if he were there. because damn, i gave my best to that spiteful place despite all the terrible people, i never skipped work even though i had nervous breakdown and vomited from the pure anxiety every morning before having to go. had to quit when even the days i was free were filled with dread about going back there again. i'm rambling. anyway, love this song. woy had a great run overall.

This entire song for me, is heartbreaking. I mean, Hater just put on an amazing show to tell Dominator that he just wants to date her! And then, she just had to destroy both Hater and Wanders dreams, like the evil lord she is. And Wander just wanted Hater to get the one thing he was missing: Someone to love. Not only that, but this song also tells the story of the show, and it gives a hint to the audience that the show is ending, and that is just heartbreaking.
Disney's like: Hey let's take the really great and heart felt show......... abs replace it with a half-assed live action comedy show with a built in laugh track cause the jokes aren't funny.
What's even more frustrating is that Disney asked Craig to make the show more comedic in nature and less heavy on continuity. He gave them what they wanted, and is still screwed over.

Apparently the creators only found out they were being cancelled AFTER Season 2 was made. Although, they did say that they tweaked some stuff to make it feel like the last season, so the theory could still hold true.

The shows creators knew the show was going to be cancelled so they decided to make a hint to it and the only reason why they made a cliff hanger was because they thought that Disney would let them aleast make a few more episodes....

Apparently the creators only found out they were being cancelled AFTER Season 2 was made. Although, they did say that they tweaked some stuff to make it feel like the last season, so the theory could still hold true.
