    Another example how Brightline attention to details concerning passenger satisfaction, being able to always enjoy watching the scenery thru clean windows, etc, will help ensure their long term success!

      This. So much this. A service like Brightline lives and dies by its reputation. And Brightline is making sure that they get a reputation for running a clean and efficient service.

    I just love bright lines, I’m so happy they’re in Florida they make for the proud. I’m 79 years old and I can’t wait till they start running from Orlando to Miami. I want to be one of the first ones to ride that trip.

    Very cool! Makes sense that the engineer has to drive it through the car wash -- I don't think the little orange rollers are gonna cut it. :)
    The auto detailer in me winces at the scrubbing brushes, thinking about how they'll scuff up the clear coat and leave swirl marks over time. On the other hand, I don't think anyone's going to spend a whole week polishing it with a DA polisher, so it'll be fine.

    Its pretty cool to see this wash in action finally. I was actually one of the drivers bringing in all of the equipment to build the actual wash itself. Its nice to look at something that you had seen when you hauled it on your trailer to then see the video of it all in action.

    With how dusty the trains are on the high speed line, it is good to know they have a good working train wash!

      If you're referring to the testing vids it's dusty because that was brand new ballast at high speeds. Once it sees regular operation they won't be so dusty

    Awesome video! This is also important for the Engineers operating the trains during "Love-Bug" season, which is twice a year. The SR528 corridor, especially near the St. John's River, can be so brutal during Love Bug season that after each daily commute I must wash my vehicle!

    Brightline needs to hire you and house you in California for the LA to Vegas development. You can be their official photographer /filmographer. I think you have done more to promote and hype this extension and additional building work than anyone and I think it has a good public perception because of your videos. Keep up the good work. If my gay ass was actually welcome in florida I'd come across the pond and check it out, but I'll wait for the west coast version

      @@RoamingRailfan Thanks. I was watching this video quickly with no audio (I am at work).
      The reason I asked this question was because I thought one of the Brightline train windows I rode was a little bit dirty (nitpicking) and wondered how it was done currently. The mobile cleaning car explains that, as the full train wash will do a better job.

      Same with our national train operator here in Denmark, DSB, always foggy and dirty windows, graffiti, dirt, and so on, cleanness is very important for peoples perception of the train service, just like Brightlines toilets, incredible toilets means incredible service.

    How much extra for the Super Poly Process Hot Wax and getting the floor mats vacuumed?😇 (doing a segment on the interior cleanup at the end of the day could be interesting)

    • @RollerVisionStudios
      @RollerVisionStudios Рік тому +1

      I think they do cleanup every time the train shows up at Miami Central. Whenever my trains arrives there, I always see crews cleaning an empty train on another platform.The end of the day cleaning is probably similar to that.
      I am not sure if they do it West Palm Beach, but they may do some similar cleaning.

    • @RoamingRailfan

    Why not move slower and have the front brushes move with the train? The sides and top brushes would always be stationary and clean the middles cars while it moves, and then the moving brushes clean the rear cab still while moving?

    • @RoamingRailfan
      @RoamingRailfan  Рік тому

      Probably because of something were to malfunction or the train moved too fast, it would completely destroy those brushes, the gantry, and anything else nearby.

    My first concern with a setup like this is rust. More water would get into the under-body of the trail compared to manual washing methods which I assume there could be a problem? Maybe Brightline under-bodies are rust resistant?
