The lack of enthusiasm on the part of the presenter is invasive, contagious.

Last year I got serous borderline ovarian tumor and I had to undergo laparatomy with complete removal of the right ovary with the tumor.
is there any chance of relapsing of serous borderline tumor? Does it have a malignant potency to reoccur as a malignant tumor later in my life? What if some portion of the tumor is remaining in my body, will it grow again into a cancer? Ma'am I would be glad if you could answer these questions.

hi, I'm not a doctor but I can cite some studies for you if you like. I can tell you that it all depends on your staging. if you were staged 1a, there should be no residual tumor left in your body. if 1c, some borderline cells could be present in your abdomen. i have no information regarding the risk of the borderline cells in your abdomen assuming you're 1c. with fertility sparing surgery, your risk of recurrence can be up to 20% as far as I know, but meta analysis reckons its about 11%. the chance of the recurrence being malignant is between 20% and 30%. so you're looking at a few percent chance of anything serious. serous is normally the nicer one to have, potentially lower risks than what I've referenced in this comment.
