It would be great if you make a set of videos with different guests on your channel giving lectures about all the specialties of pathology. Thanks for all the time you spend on social media for giving us such an amazing way to learn pathology. Best regards!
Thank you so much Dr Jeanette for the histology part at the beginning and the IHC stains.. really2 helpful.. should have watch this long ago.. Thank you Dr Gerad for making this Online Slide Session shareable to all country of any part of the world. You guys are indeed amazing !!
I wish that you could post part 2 and 3 for lymphoma and bone marrow prolfrative disorders soon.. I can't wait to watch it...please consider my request
This is so helpful! Best teaching of normal lymph nodes and hemepath IHC I have found. Would love a video on reactive lymphoid hyperplasia versus PCFCL.
Thanks. V nice description of all IHC stains in non-neoplastic lymph node lesions. Kindly make a video on the different non-neoplastic lesions of lymph node too!
Thank you very much Dr. Gardner.. Its really helpful..Keep up the good work .. would like to see other pathology subspecialities like GI or gyn or GU..
Good Day Dr Jerad, is there any video on all type of lymphoma? There is no video on lymphoma elsewhere too.. Really hope Dr Jeanette will continue on these topics: Neoplastic lymph nodes
I have some skin lymphoma covered here kikoxp.com/posts/5356. Unfortunately no lymph node or systemic lymphoma videos. I changed jobs and no longer work at the same hospital as Dr. Jeanette so I have not had a chance to record more videos with her yet.
Madame Ramos offers a nice elucidation on the arcane disease process of Lymphoma and the diagnostic Staining there in....While Lymphopathy can render a patient immunosuppressed, the knowledge of immunology can actually itself boost a failing defense mechanism by the sole reigning factor in all pathologies: All disease are pyschosomatic with the exemption of congenital, deficiency and traumatic Aetiologies.... Cheerz, Arst Gardner
Check out Dr. Ramos's peripheral blood smear board review video: kikoxp.com/posts/3726. Also, a complete organized library of all my videos, digital slides, pics, & sample pathology reports is available here: kikoxp.com/posts/5084 (dermpath) & kikoxp.com/posts/5083 (bone/soft tissue sarcoma pathology).
Just started the video, but something bothered me: we get to see A LOT of normal lymph nodes everyday. Sentinel lymph nodes without metastasis, lymph nodes sampled during colectomies (in my department we sample even in diverticulosis), or randomly when ENT thinks they removed a parathyroid in frozen sections but it's actually a lymph node. There are other examples. I would argue the majority of the lymph nodes we see are normal. But maybe it's different for someone dealing only with hemepath.
I’m not a hemepath expert, but my basic understanding: CD5 should stain all normal T-cells. It should look identical to CD3 pattern in normal or reactive lymph nodes. When it DOESN’T match CD3 pattern, then I start worrying about lymphoma.
Thanks! That video was recorded with a built in microphone on a canon T6i camera. It is just a regular SLR camera That is attached the microscope with a specialized mount. You can buy it as a package from a company called Martin microscope. I’ve been really impressed with how good the sound is with that built-in microphone.
My doctors can't come up with anything other than oh it's a skin abuses or a boil or been on 8 different kind of antibiotics and tests but it isn't helping me and they haven't even gave me anything for pain relief I can't walk or stand close to touch it
Apoptosis......little “people-cells” committing suicide.....So important especially when cancer/sarcoma/lymphoma cells refuse to die. Nice to know that this is a mechanism that continually happens in lymph nodes as a normal process.
