    Recipe
    4oz unsalted butter (room temperature)
    1/2 cups granulated sugar
    2 eggs (room temperature)
    1/2 of a lime rind
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    3/4 cups of all-purpose flour sifted
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    3 tablespoon maraschino liquid (use milk or juice if you prefer)
    10 maraschino cherries and 10 green cherries - more cherries if you prefer. Cut cherries to your likeness.
    Method
    Cream butter and sugar until smooth and creamy
    Add eggs one by one
    Stir in lime rind and vanilla extract
    Use a spatula to fold in sifted flour and baking powder in parts until combined. Do not overmix!
    Crease and floured baking pan well.
    Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
