  • Sit-ups are not only a waste of time for core work they are potentially hurting your back! I’ve seen literally hundreds of patients over the years that have bulged and herniated discs in their lower backs from doing sit-ups. Remember, they won’t trim your waist-line or strengthen your core. That is done in the kitchen! Ditch this back-breaker for one of many Dr. Rob safe and effective core alternatives to truly work your core properly so you can #GetBetterNotOlder

GREAT video. And GREAT explanations. I do ZERO sit ups with my clients. Instead focusing on the exercises you showed and other functional ones. I learn a lot watching your videos

So glad that you are addressing this. Gyms and other fitness clubs are still pushing sit ups and I personally never liked them. Remember 30 years ago when aerobic classes in fitness clubs were so popular and at the end of class sit ups were must. I used to leave class with excuses that I was late for work. 😂 Having said that I managed to lose weight and stay fit without sit ups. Education and science behind are key to being successful.

i cant find a vid from you addressing cervical radiculopathy. pretty sure i have a c7 nerve pinch with severe pain in the back of my arm that comes on while i sleep, which i can only do on my back with this condition. i'm going on week 2 and its getting better but curious to see you break it down like you do for the lower back.
