A few weeks ago we, together with our friends at ZHC, Critical Role, Seek Discomfort, and Popflex, put on UA-cam's FIRST ever creator fashion show. The event was a total blast and we enjoyed hanging out with you on the live stream. But now... we want to show you behind the scenes of what it REALLY takes to put together a fashion show. Let's find out!

Seeing Amy scream at the top of her lungs while being chase by William Afton made my day.
HONESTLY
From a professional event producer, thank you for sharing what it takes to put on a live production - fashion shows, concerts, festivals, conferences, even live sporting events like the Super Bowl - all different types of events but go through similar types of planning and production process. It’s organized chaos and I love it!
The event-day, last minute decisions to just get everything to the finish line is where I thrive. You did great, Amy!
MatPat having had total theater dad levels of excitement about a runway show is exactly how he always seemed.
Amy's portrayal of MatPat was so on point 😂😂
Wait, was that Amy?? Couldn’t even tell! Man, she needs a raise bc that is a talent that could REALLY take the channel to some interesting places!
I loved the googly eyes
I loved how crazy she made him sound even though she wanted it and dreamed of it.
Did anyone notice that Matpat said this would be an annual event
Micarah Tewers for CiF 2025
@@VanNessy97 YES! she is the best!❤
They said it before
Unfortunately no
Yes
honestly it was really great. i want to see creators in fashion next year.
I wanna see a food theory on onions in your socks 🧦 to remove toxins from your body
It'll be coming! It's supposed to be an annual event.
@@osmosisjones4912 that would be fun indeed!
@@osmosisjones4912 it's 100% wrong. There's your facts.
@@archerelms explain the basic idea the chemicals opening your pours sweating out
PLEASE do a "Sakura arcade" line, I would buy everything there fr
I completely agree
I would love that too ❤
I’m honestly so proud of the team for doing all this! They deserve so much ❤
Fellow 5'2" person here, I am so, so, SO happy that it is YOU guys breaking fashion's stale, stoic molds and bringing life and TRUE color back into this world!
Yes yes yes!!! Fellow shorties agreeeeeeee!!!
@@juliajohnson4080 Wooo hoo!!!
All we need now is a cooking show with Santi instructing the others on how to cook 😂😂😂
Naw we need a cook off with Ramsay and Elton Brown and Uncle Roger as the judges that'd be wild
And a Film Festival with Lee... oh OH and a new E3-like convention with Tom!
I don't know about all that. Have you seen some of the stuff Santi cooks?
Amy acting like matpat 😂😂😂! 2:33! Keep up the amazing work Amy!
I love that he’s remembered as, “that guy who thought all children were robots” 😂
i'm glad how you are helping the models too-i hope they get hired somewhere :)
I loved the diversity and character of the models. They were some of my favorite parts!
A BEHIND THE SCENES VIDEO???
Fashion theory has actually been super helpful for me because it assumes you know nothing about fashion. You guys also talk about things that aren't really talked about like the organization and the shaving.
And they do it in a way that doesnt make you feel dumb for not knowing it. That's the best part!!!
🎉🎉🎉 yes fashion theory is my favorite. 😊 and I love Amy so much.
I’ve been CRAVING the opportunity to have a Theorywear/Lumen piece for YEARS now in my wardrobe since I can really tell you guys fully care about your merch. It took me a while to find the piece I wanted, but I finally pulled the trigger on the Lumen cloud crewneck for my birthday, and I’m BEYOND excited to receive it! ☁️ looks so soft and comfy and I can’t wait to wear it. 🥹😍 congrats you guys!
And now we need a new CR commercial with Level 20 Jester Invoking Duplicity with Ginny and (NOW) Amy... Or at least an episode of CR where Amy or Matt join as a guest character...
I’ve been hoping for a MatPat guest character since he announced retirement
I really enjoyed Creators in Fashion. I've never been into project runway or any of the fashion shows, but it was really fun to see people both in the audience and on the runway that i actually knew about if not follow myself. I also really loved seeing some plus size models, I could actually see myself wearing clothes i wouldn't normally think I could pull off.
the fact that runways STILL don't show plus sized models IN THE 2020S IS SO FLIPPING DISAPPOINTING AGGGGHHHH!
Love the diversity just a quick note: As a disabled person, large majority of us prefer disabled and NOT “differently abled”. Disability isn’t a bad word, it’s what most of us actually prefer 😊 I hate being called differently abled
Amy, I love how real you're being on this channel. While my situation is very different, I am working towards a dream that I've had since last year at about this time. Part of working toward that dream is remodeling my small walk-in closet, and this weekend will hopefully be a giant step in getting that done!
While fashion isn't really my thing, I really enjoy these videos! Hearing about how y'all wanted to include different body types in the show brought tears to my eyes. Keep being awesome!
Its exciting to see a glimpse of behind the scenes of everything that went into this event. Its just fun to watch the thought process behind everything.
Do a vid on how to SMILE CORRECTLY!!
That would be cool
i truly hope they take what they have learned with this years show and dare to go bigger next year. eventhough both me and my boyfriend had high hopes, we were slightly left dissapointed by the clothes. i think its amazing that you all managed to make this happen, but i definitely hope we will see bigger and bolder clothes. stuff beyond what feels convential acceptable, a combo between wearable, accesible but also eye catching and a truly unique feel.
either way, its awesome to see the passion behind this! and cant wait to see what you all will do with lumen! (though partial biase, im going to study fashion tailor myself and maybe a dream of working for them XD)
I love that this event happened!. I didn't get to watch it live, but just the fact that this was possible, and the effort it took, Chefs Kiss!
2:26 I love this short edit
Wow, 3 weeks is a lot of model searching.. but you did nail it! I really liked them all! Some of them do have some points of improvement in terms of coming across as happy and approachable on the stage, but overall they did great. I specifically recall the models who did a little hair twirl, pose, or the one that smiled so brightly and somehow there was a happy feel to her step? Hard to describe. Anyway, it was cool! :D
The diversity of the models was amazing! Other fashion shows should take note
OH THEY BETTER.
I’m so happy you included Critical Role! They have the BEST merch! Everything is diverse and unique. ❤
Theory idea! What is the best looking and most useful outfit for any apocalypse? ( We are all super glad y’all said yes to the idea!!)
I LOVE this idea
probably cargo pants tbh
OMG the sakura arcade line sounds amazing! I hope that we get to see it in some form in the future.
Title: Style Theory’s Creative Fashion Show!
Event date: Annually!
My Brain: omg omg omg! This is so cool!
“We were actually going to put on our fashion show back in November of 2023.”
*casually circles my 16th birthday*
That would’ve been nice 😭
That would have been so dope lol
Instead, they decided to put it on my birthday.
That was kinda rude of them to not host it on your birthday
@@thesoniczone11 Birthday babes unite!
I 100% love seeing the sakura blossom concepts and the dark storm. Definitely fills some missing aspects in fashion rn imo. Would love to see it revisited in the future!
I was so excited to catch the show live! My SO asked "why are you watching that?" because I don't really watch fashion shows but I'm glad I did!
Super excited for next year's event, as Mat said that they've now established pipeline and have the experience.
Congratulations to Amy and MatPat for fulfilling their dreams and the dreams of others who were a part of this! 🎉
I'm so happy that you and Matthew got to go for this dream ❤ I hope there'll be another runway show by you and I hope I can stay up past midnight for that one too!
Caught the livestream. It was AMAZING! Well done team theorists
I just about had a brain aneurysm when you showed Talesin on the runway in his legendary punk outfit. I love that you're a Critter too.
The fasion show was super fun to watch and now we can see the behind the scenes
Tbt, critical role was the only one I recognized. Knowing about the movie now, i get why Markiplier and Cloak never joined
Mayday did a video on Blogalates, specifically though it was about Temu stealing her designs and why that problem is soon prevalent in china.
@@demonheart13but creaters in fashion had nothing to do wty temu
I do hope that Cloak gets included in a future show! I'm sure Mark and Sean would have been thrilled to include their line.
I appreciate this so much, it’s so nice to see really talented creators that put so much love and care into their work. This was just so needed.
We get to see MatPat again!
Yes! Everyone wants Mat back.
here berfore the bots
@@jennytweet7602 we may want him back but it was his choice to retire.
MATPAT!!!!
He’s still on GTLive for now
This was so awesome, Amy!!!!! I'm so happy you got to live your Project Runway dreams!!! Thank you again for making my dream come true, too!❤❤❤❤❤
love the story, would LOVE a full documentary on the process
I'm ngl I would've LOVED to see those other three so don't be afraid to try it in the future!
This deserves more love 🥺
I love that you and the team made a core memory and lived out your dreams. The show turned out great

Oh my gosh. That floor is so clean!!!
I love love LOVE the green and purple fit and flare with with white belt
Matt halfway dead on the stool at 12:15 tho-
love hearing about the process that it takes to make events. it's reassuring to know that a lot of things is learning as you go!! also sakura arcade eatsssss hope it comes out
This whole video and Amy's experience with Creators in Fashion reflects my experience with performing almost 1 to 1.
Ever since I was in high school choir, I always knew that I wanted to be back on the stage to some extent, and about a year ago, as I was actually getting out to know my city, I met someone who was well known in the local community for doing drag and burlesque, and she puts on her own shows as well on the regular. We were really close too because we were running in the same circles for a while at this point when I said that I wanted to give it a shot myself. From then on, she took me under her wing as her "burlesque baby" and she's the one who got me started with one of her own routines that I assisted in, I acted as a stage hand, or "kitten" as they call it in the February show she put on, I performed 2 acts in her DnD inspired show at the end of April, and just yesterday killed it at an open mic another big name puts on every month.
I find it to be an utterly grueling process to pick your songs, costume, and choreography especially as an utter noob in the industry and it's utter stress all the way up until you've finished your sets on stage, but that high of satisfaction I get after I've done what I set out to do makes it more than worth it.
The best part of each channel having their own host is that now the beef and pettiness going on between channels can now be personified with each host. They pick in each other and they pick on Matt, it's so much fun lol.
The advice here is very true when going outside your comfort zone!
It’s helped me a lot, so much so that I now have to learn to step back and say no to rest and recover.
This video made me so teary eyed 🥹
Am I the only one that was tearing up at the end? I'm so proud of Amy and all the team.
Sakura arcade specifically sounds AMAZING oml, beach storm too!!! I love those designs shown!!
Great backstory for that AMAZING event!!
Hoping you guys get Cloak and Nonsense for next year's show.
I loved being able to sit live and watch this! You could feel the passion and love! Thank you so much for sharing your behind the scenes footage and showing just what it took to put this on. Go Team Theorist ❤
Suggestion for a maybe possible video topic, the phrase "that will put some hair on your chest."
Does it have any merit to it? Are there certain things that make you more likely to grow body hair? Figured it might just go well with all the shaving videos that have happened.
I absolutely loved the fashion show!! Can’t wait to see how it evolves for next years show!
Please don't say differently abled. Disabled isn't a bad word. Thanks for your casting!
It was nice to see him again nicely done
It was great to see mat pat again!
Bobby was here
Dang it Bobby, what are you doing in the comment section of We Created UA-cam's First Fashion Show! | Style Theory?
bobby get outta here ‼️ silly smh
I can’t believe this
And now I have a new favorite style theory episode
I love that this was a bit of a personal journey for Amy and she realised it twinned with Mat - and then she saw she was his equal!
This was amazing to see, congratulations!
Yippie!! Style Theory in the morning!! 💙💙💙💙
I loved catching the show while work & seeing all of the diverse models!
I absolutely love the look of the new line! I do hope there will still be theory-branded merch occasionally mixed in though.
I am so proud of you Amy! ❤️
I love somewhat seamless transitions into ADs. Someone who is an expert at seamless transitions into ADs is Brett Cooper she is the master of Seemless AD transitions
0:55 Made me immediatley think of "Wow look a lime graph, digital style!" from Don't hug me, I am scared :D
The fashion show was inspiring!! I often doubt my hair and nail work! Makes me want to keep it up to be in a fashion show in the future
I kinda wish more channels where this innovative
"All the knowledge. Its to much"
You can't get away from the knowledge!!!
Too*
Really enjoyed the CIF event! I can't imagine all the decisions that had to be made. I'm really hoping this will make other creators think about the type of items they're making. It's really a win-win-win for everyone. The creators get publicity and potentially more item sells, the viewers get to see interesting styles, and it overall improves creator spaces like UA-cam because others have will have to up their game to stand out.
I'm curious how future CIF's will evolve. I didn't realize how long each creator's line would take to show. I think that's the real limiting factor for future CIF's. If you can only get in 5/6 creator's lines, as the event expands - deciding which lines to show seems like it'll be increasingly difficult assuming more and more creators want to take part.
A few other thoughts: I see for the first event the fashion aspect being the sole focus made sense but I'm wondering if future events might be helped by a mixture of performances, and/or pre-recorded skits. Further, having more home audience engagement similar in style to the St. Jude fundraising events could also help. I know that goes away from the traditional fashion show-like experience, but I wonder if there is a way to balance it out so the core experience remains but helps bring in those who aren't as fashion inclined but do like seeing their favorite creators live. I do think some people were a little confused by the idea of a fashion show. If you're new to the idea, I can see why you'd think it was cynically just a commercial. I LOVED that so many different perspectives were there - in fact, I'd say I loved seeing how everyone approached fashion differently than the fashion itself.
That said, there can definitely be some clashes from the audience when it comes to being respectful to people representing unfamiliar groups. I don't really have any immediate solutions other than having some moderate distraction from audience engagement that can politely distract those who aren't too engaged with the current primary discussion.
Did not meant to write an essay >_
I have to say that this show was at my 18th birthday date and I find it hilarious
I was rolling on the floor when I heard that you have meetings about there being too many meetings 😂
I got one of the jackets from that show! 💛 congrats to style theory (and everyone involved)
Sakura Arcade looks amazing
Absolutely incredible achievement guys! Your fashionable fans salute you :)
12:21 decision fatigue in event planning is REAL!
Too model for style theory is such an opportunity of a lifetime 💜
That fashion show was awesome! Can't wait till next years!
