He didn't mean to hit the bicyclist? That's great. Did he not mean to drive off with the bike under his car and leave the bicyclist lying on the road either? Shut up and go to jail.

You have prolly never gotten pure anything. If you had real plugs who live for this shit and who get pure good drugs from over seas or across border..... well you see what I’m saying. You think drug dealers are pussies cuz you have never seen a real drug dealer with pure product. Lol you dealers are leaving there mommies house for school of course they ain’t gonna shoot. And there not pussies for not shooting, like I said they are not legit dealers they just want extra cash or to look cool, why they gonna risk there life when there on there way to schoool for someone stealing a little bit of there half oregano half weed or baking soda and crushed adderral lol they ain’t gonna shoot you. You ain’t worth there time. Plus you stealing shit product you n your friends think is “fire”. Lol litttle 13. Year old go smoke your oregano. Try and rob a real dealer, you be gettin smoked than. Bitch boy.

Dylan N they got mouths to feed if they got kids. You think they want to go around shooting people and causing any attention towards them. I’m sure they care much More about there kids than a 30 sack of oregano and shwag. Full of stems and seeds. You are young. So you think that it’s fire to lol. They ain’t worried about you n your broke ass never buying more than a 40. That’s why they sell you the fake cut shit. The other people who got real money who buy ounces be getting the real fire. Go do your homework. I’m sure you are in summer school since you are such a straight dumbass. I bet those people will shoot you when they see you hiding in bushes watching little kids walk to school you fucking perv. I’ll blow your top back if I see you around here in a bush staring at little boys. You nasty son of a bitch.

Once a firearm is drawn, the situation becomes life or death. We do not invent silly little reasons to make a criminal's life more valuable than his victim's, that's true. If the victim is legally permitted to engage, in most cases the victim is legally permitted to maintain the engagement until they no longer feel threatened.
No one is going to tell a woman in process of being raped that she fired slightly too many times and inflicted just barely more damange on her rapist than was technically justified. And any presumptuous busybody who is either so terrified of a gun or terrified of empowering women that they would seek to do this will find no basis in American law for their prejudices, a fact for which I am profoundly grateful.

I was on the phone with police dispatch indicating where he was and that he had ducked into a rescue mission. Cops showed up and had go in with them to identify the guy. I showed up in court to testify against him and he went to jail. I was guaranteed that they would contact me when he was released. I never heard a word so I called the prosecutor and was informed he had been released some time ago on parole. He was a dangerous dirtbag with a history of violent crime and I didn’t appreciate the fact that he was released and I was not notified. I don’t have a lot of faith in the judicial system.

It is a fair question whether there is wrongdoing, though. Any time someone holds someone else at gunpoint, they’ve got to have one heck of a good reason, supported by law, or they’ll be the one going to prison. Citizen’s arrest laws are pretty complicated and very state-dependent.
This wasn’t a case of self-defense or a scenario where he stopped an imminent danger to another person. If all the boxes allowing a citizen to use lethal force to detain another citizen weren’t checked, he could be looking at felony charges and prison time.
He may very well have complied with the law, but I don’t fault the news for pointing out that that’s not readily apparent and is a question that needs to be answered.
