This song is about how she felt when she realized she was no longer this new young artist people got excited about. Like she was losing her novelty and people would shift their attention on someone else.
The fact that she wrote this song at 22 is just sad... and I understand why she kept it in the vault. She would've definitely got criticized for this song if it was released back then when her career was still unstable with the unnecessary hatred. Now that she has the assurance that her fans won't leave her after knowing this side of her (especially after Miss Americana), ig she feels comfortable to finally take this out of the vault.

Part of her getting away from BMLG? Or just having more fun with video production -- she has had her own production company for almost a decade, too.
