I’ll say it again- the entire Folklore album.
Exile is definitely my favorite track from Folklore. Justin’s vocals are everything and it sounds really good with Taylor’s voice.
That is something I forgot to mention, but I agree 💯 with you!

You might want to try "The Last Time" by Taylor. It's another duet where they are responding to each other. And underrated.

If you want to react to another song on the RED album, you need to do "All to Well". If you like great songwriting. Taylor has always been a genius songwriter and storyteller.
Folklore is pretty amazing, all around. But All too Well remains Taylor's best effort....the pinnacle.
@@clarkbarrett6274 oh yeah true. I love all the albums but my two favorite albums are RED where it is kind of a transition album from country to pop. So I get both on the same album. Second is Folklore where it really showcases her brilliant songwriting. Also RED had some great songwriting too.

Bon Iver (Justin Vernon) is the original artist of “Hey Ma” that Arthur/Dibesh performed on the Mother’s Day show of Idol. His stuff is fairly wide-ranging, but I guess I’d put him in the folk column. He’s got some experimental electronic keyboard stuff too, more of an Indie sound. The song from him you’d probably know is Skinny Love.
I remember that! I also remember hearing the name before then, but for some reason I never took the time to look them up! (So is Bon Iver just Justin Vernon? I’m confused 😬)
oh-ef yes, Bon Iver (pronounced eeVare) was founded by Justin and he’s the creative force. There are other guys in the band. He plays keyboard mostly. I’m not an expert on them, but do like their sound.
I would love to see this song done live. Whenever we are able to this year.
As other people have said the entire folklore album is great. The Last Great American Dynasty especially is a great storytelling song

There are not a lot of songs that are basic conversations like this one...the one that comes to mind in from the 1980's called "Don't give up" with Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush.

Try Taylor's The Last Time with Gary Light body from the Red Album. It’s pretty much the prequel to Exile.
I thought Gotye and Kimbra's Somebody that I used to know has the similar idea. The songs are very different though. Absolutely love this one, it's by far best off this album.

Betty is from the guy who cheated POV, Cardigan is from Betty’s(the Girl who got cheated) POV and August is from The side chick POV. Please react to them and also the full album asap

I'm going back, I discovered you thru later TS tracks. Think you'll love this. Lots of people dig Evermore better than Folklore. They're both amazing, but my heart belongs to Folklore. It was a revelation, and this album was the point where artists who probably, like many, thought she was a throw-away radio artist. They learned different.

fun fact about this song, Joe aka William bowery and Taylor wrote this song in homage to how they met. They met at a party and taylor was with someone else and Joe was standing by the bar alone thinking to himself I could treat her so much better, the dude isnt even funny. Lo and behold they started dating a month or so later and the rest is history

This song is hands down on of her best yet simple songs. As you said, each line is so important. Maybe you should listen to "The Last Time" from Red album, feat. Gary Lightbody (from Snowpatrol). They did something similar, not the same, with replying each others lyrics. This song is about miscommunication and the other one is about missunderstanding, but gives the same feeling. And if you feel like into her storytelling listen to "All too well". You can picture perfectly a movie inside your head with those lyrics.
Exile gives me ALL THE FEELS. You should react to Brianna Musco's new single "Never Stay", she's inspired a lot by Taylor Swift, so you might like her sound!
