426,000 miles on my Silverado still running strong...always used Fram filters and Pennzoil oil.. and you should fill the new oil filter with oil before installing... you don't want the engine to starve for oil on start up.
U don't have to fill the filter that's just an old wives tale. If it were true there wouldn't be side mounted or upward mounted canister oil filters. Also watch a few UA-cam videos on how they cut them open and compare them to the competition and I guarantee you'll never use fram again.
