I have a Yukon XL SLE same oil but manual says 8 qts I doubt the 1/2 makes a difference. Thanks for the help just had mine done look forward to the new air intake video.
@@zxracer636 I just downloaded the current manual for a 2017 Yukon and it says the capacity is 8 qts. I agree though, that extra 1/2 quart is probably not going to hurt one way or another, but I will stick with 8.
Did you jack her up in order to change the oil or would I be able to do it just sliding myself under neath , just picked up a 16 xl and would rather do the oil changes my self , and well my jack is still at my brothers house lol so who knows when I’ll get it back

I found the problem with my transmission fluid leaking it was my transmission line to my radiator but they said that I need a new radiator since my transmission fluid line was leaking
Hari Seldon i will do an update to show you. I used the filter that has the nut on the bottom of it and i love. I had to remove the old one, 4th he old way, with a screw driver and hammer. I could not get my oil wrench around it.
@@theoutdooroffice432 Lmao, that is exactly what I had to do. I debated on spending the extra money on that K&N and decided against it. I didn't even realize it had that little nut welded on it. I will get it for sure next time. Why do these engineers have to make everything so damn difficult. They know we will be changing the damn oil filter yet they put it in a space that is impossibe to get to!
You know they have a filter wrench that goes on the bottom of the filter that is like socket and you use an extension with a socket wrench, removal made easy

Actually on the US manual it says 8.0 liters which equals 8.45qts but yes that half quart probably wouldn't make a huge difference.

Is that oil better then mobile 1
victor alvarez Mobile is preferred for suv and trucks
Did you let the oil drain with the bolt on unscrewed half way?
Quedog KU alum... i try to remove the plug completely becuase if it is windy you will have oil going every where with the oil coming out slowly.

It might have to do with the trans fluid and the radiator housing given the radiator is a more water based liquid. I would get another opinion.
Were both oil jugs dexos? The first jug you poured in didn't have the label. Yikes
both had labels and they were the same.
Look again. 11 second mark. Right bottle is missing dexos label.
@@Skizz34 I see that now. Good catch. I have changed my oil foue times since then.
That filter's in a confined space, I was looking for how to get it out of there, not 'tada, new filter in place'.
