A bit ago I was in the market to replace my Bose Soundlink Mini. Did a lot of research comparing the different options and I settled on the Emberton. No regrets, I love it.
I have this speaker. To get the best balanced sound from this speaker with the most amount of power, set the volume about 75%, no more than this. If you go above 75%, the sound starts to thin out giving you less bass.
Marshall made their name with the 30 ton sound system the Grateful Dead use to tote around from show to show! As far as Bluetooth speakers go you really can’t beat the sound of a Bose!

this is the speaker I have in the bathroom when I shower. I have the Marshall Acton, has the Bass you're looking for Flossy. But it is a bigger speaker.

Just copped a F5 from TJ Max fa $80 bones. Now while looks between these two aren't where I make a judgement call...performance does. With that lemme say this about the JBL vs Marshal JBL ALSO has a downloadable app that allows for tweaking it's internal EQ. To me JBL comes out on top unless Marshall has a feature like that. On the other hand if Marshall is true to it's claim on battery life then it's got JBL beat there. It comes down to if you want more features and control vs. descent sound and longer battery life. As far as looks...The ONLY reason why Marshall might be a better choice would be because its less likely to travel during performance pumping out heavy vibrations/sound. Cylinders 'roll'. Rectangles don't. Science over aesthetics.
I just picked up the Marshall. I’m coming from a JBL Xtreme, JBL Charge 2+, JBL GO. It doesn’t have the bass as the Xtreme but it’s way more neutral with significantly better vocals. The JBL Charge 2+ is a great all around speaker but the Emberton has a better mid range and the bass is cleaner. The JBL GO is great because it’s so portable but there’s no bass and the treble is too flat. The Emberton is my new favorite all arounder.
Hello, do you recommend this? i also own JBL Xtreme and I am expected not too much if you compare this from Xtreme since this a small form factor. How is the overall squad quality?
Marshall has a more mature sound signature. The jbl sounds like its a 15 year old; the Marshall sounds like it's got a career , a wife, and goes golfing. That's just how I see it tho😂😂

I have the JBL Flip 5..... nice speaker, and I think it sounds more balanced and the sound more 'full' than the Marshall. I do like the classic signature look of the Marshall, though.....yet, the Marshall doesn't appear to be as versatile in terms of portability. The JBL has a loop that can be hooked to a caribiner clip.... and hung from a backpack, tree branch, etc. The JBL also might fit into a bicycle water bottle holder.
Bass is easy to increase, however, its harder to clear up. JBL still has that problem, it sacrifices clarity with bigger sound. Though if you want something clear, go Marshall, even its highs are better.
I have tested these speaker in store, JBL Flip 5, Emberton, Sony XB 23 and 33. 3 times testing and purchased Emberton. Now already 7 month, I never regret the decisions. Just hope Emberton has NFC like Sony XB 33. And Emberton will auto turn off when 5 minutes of silence even in connected, while Sony headphones will only turn off if disconnected for 5 minutes in my Sony 1000 XM3. Listen to The Weeknd, Sia, Halsey, Adele ilive performance is a bless with Emberton.

The outside vs inside type speaker theory is bullcrap and you know it. For 30 dollars i can get a charge 5 that is way better than this overrated piece of garbage

Marshall Bluetooth speakers are made in China most likely using slave labor so quality depends on the disposition of the slave on the day it was assembled!
I love the cream-colored one. It looks so nice for a boho-style or retro-style room. However I do prefer the JBL for a more on-the-go situation since the speaker will be exposed to the elements more and it looks kind of industrial and rugged, so wear and tear won't be a concern. Also I don't really like the sound effects for controls on the Marshall.
You've Gotta love the 70/80s look of the Marshall speaker, reminds me of their old guitar amps. Also im not sure if you've Already seen it but the sound core motion boom is a great speaker for the price and must be a current value champ.
@@joemana27 I have the MG15FX from around 2010? I guess. It is basically the same amp on paper. I can absolutely recommend it, not just for beginners, and the built in effects are great if you don't wanna spend more money on additional gear.
If it isnt a JMT or Plexi or SuperLead from the 1960s-70s or a JCM 800 from the 1980s it doesn't matter. Marshall Amps in the UK and Marshall Headphones/Bluetooth speaker are not made in the same factory.
There's an all black (grill included) design out there too with only the central button and the Marshall logo in gold. It's a special edition. It looks stunning.
Oooh damn the Marshall in green looks dope! I have an old cream Marshall portable amp I used for my electric acoustic and it was great. Now I use it mostly as a set-piece (since the battery corroded). This could be a great replacement for both look and function.
I literally just bought this the day before your review. I love it. So classy and it has a really nice weight to it. Doesn’t distort at high volume. Bathroom jams all day!
Marshall is MEANT for the rock music. The way it actively controls the EQ for Guitar and Drums is amazing @:@ Other types of music eg. hip-hop and all sound better with JBL in my opinion. But like he said, overall Marshall wins! :D

You need to review the champ in this size range which is the Soundcore Motion Plus! Two tweeters with two drivers and a bass radiator %%% Marshall is not touching the Soundcore !
The upper bass/low mids in the very beginning of your nephews song is much more pronounced on the Marshall ,but seems to get lost in the mix once the rest of the song plays. On the other hand… the JbL never pushes it and keeps everything low making it seemed more balanced. The Marshall seemed heavenly for those first few intro seconds
I've had this speaker for 2 months and here are my 3 comments: 1) normal volume sounds great and battery lasts reaaally long. Almost entire night partying. 2) always gets compliments from guests for the cool looks 3) sound gets shittier when in max volume. Bass is almost non-existent in max volume. So yeah, Floss nailed it again with the review.
I bought this speaker about 1 year ago.Very happy the first 4 5 months.Looking and sounding beautiful.And then the speaker starts" farting".I sent a video and my compllain to marshall and because i had droped it once they refussed to fix it under waranty and demanded a payment if i wanted it fix.Very disapointing beacuse the fall happened weeks after i bought is and it was from a bed(not evenhalf a meter)

In terms of looks, I think Marshall makes the best looking speakers & headphones. Maybe one day the can expand into other areas like sounbars, tower speakers, open back headphones, I need more of that Marshall drip
Marshall are known for that thick midrange. They both sound good but I like the extra bass on the JBL. That classic guitar amp look of the Marshall tho 👌
Had to turn down the volume on the headset cause the mid- and high tones was bangin' ! Bass is well rounded. Love the marshall look. I own the marshall monitors and the fake leather quality isn't great. That look though is so nice! The metal finishes on that thing is so luxurious. PS. That nephew track is HOT SON!

I have the black one with the white logo. Sounds crazy good for it's size and price. And it looks super cool too. I like JBL's Flip 5 but the Emberton is just better all day long.
I bought the Marshall Emberton after seeing this. Hasnt been delivered yet but Im like an excited puppy that hasnt seen their human for a while (& my human has biscuits) & I may pee on the floor a little ..... 😅
Marshall definitely sounds better and that's through your phone, through UA-cam and my speakers. That song is awesome and that's not even the type music I listen to.
This speaker is worth buying just because of how aesthetically pleasing it looks. I just bought one for my desk to listen to music here and there but mostly because of the classy vibe it brings to any living space. Even when the battery fails after a few years it’ll be a nice decor for living room or bedroom. Plus you can always replace the battery 🔋 if you know how.
I've had a Marshell Emberton for a good while, And have been impressed with the sound quality and how robust it is. I've now added the Marshell Acton 3 its really for home use as it is mains powered but Wow the sound is amazing great Bass and clarity ....You cant go wrong with a Marshell speaker .....

The motion+ is definitely better. Marshall is riding on their brand name to push a very high price point. This emberton should cost around 90ish.

hey, how loud is the sound when it's around 75 percentage volume?
Every reviewers are wishing it was a bit louder, does it bother you sometimes?

I have the black one with the white logo. Sounds crazy good for it's size and price. And it looks super cool too. I like JBL's Flip 5 but the Emberton is just better all day long.
I bought the Marshall Emberton after seeing this. Hasnt been delivered yet but Im like an excited puppy that hasnt seen their human for a while (& my human has biscuits)

This speaker is worth buying just because of how aesthetically pleasing it looks. I just bought one for my desk to listen to music here and there but mostly because of the classy vibe it brings to any living space. Even when the battery fails after a few years it’ll be a nice decor for living room or bedroom. Plus you can always replace the battery 🔋 if you know how.
Wish Marshall can connect 2 speakers together like JBL 🥲

I've had a Marshell Emberton for a good while, And have been impressed with the sound quality and how robust it is. I've now added the Marshell Acton 3 its really for home use as it is mains powered but Wow the sound is amazing great Bass and clarity ....You cant go wrong with a Marshell speaker .....
I'd buy that just for the look of it, it's beautiful.
