Keep doing exactly what you’re doing! This is well detailed and I really like how you play different music with great beats so we see how the speakers drivers react! You now have a new subscriber! Great videos!
This IS a 360 degree design. The drivers fire left and right side, and you will listen to a lot of reflective sound, you do not face the driver, but rather the space in between. This is actually exactly the same design as UE boom 360 speakers. It actually provides far more stereo separation than two drivers facing forward.
If you get distortion static from 1 bass speaker you have to tape the speaker from each corner firmly to dampen the annoying static vibration sound. A lot of bass loosens and destroyed the pliabilty of the bass speaker
how exactly could I do that? I have a issue of distortion in my emberton 2, I already tear off the speaker and use the bass spaker out from the frame and still sounding a with a little distortion
@@jucalu93use a strong tape all around the edges of the subwoofer tightly and put the cover back on over the tape to secure it and listen closely until you don't hear the distortion anymore. Took many tries.
@@rodrigoalvarezgonzalez5491 the down side is you lose bass and you have to replace the tape every few months. It's a faulty bad design subwoofer by emberton, I have the marshall tufton and the subwoofers has no issues with distortion even when very loud.
it’s no mono I have it, the back one is right and the front is left, ur computer was outputting mono bluetooth audio then. It has a speaker on each side bc it’s a portable speaker, meant to be carried and listened by groups of people from more angles (mostly 360), and with left/right when placed near a wall, makes a bit of little surround sound with Marshall’s “stereophonic technology” with sound details bouncing off the wall. Setting my phone to mono loses that effect.
I don't know much in audio tech, i wonder why it use 7.4v instead of 3.7v like other brand in such small speaker, becuase i see only the bigger speaker is using 7.4v or 11.1v. even some big speaker still use low voltage but step up to higher voltage, sorry my bad english
Thank you for such informative video. I have a question and hope that you can advise on that. I do not like bass at all (even bass from theatre grade speakers) as that triggers my panic attacks. I prefer no bass/strong vibration from any speakers. But it's really hard to find a good speaker with no bass. I have an Emberton and I love the vocals and many factors of it. However, the bass is still too strong for me. I would be very happy to know if you can tell me if there's any way I can remove the bass from it. I just want to listen to the vocals and I don't need any bass. I am not afraid to tear it down as it's no use to me with that bass. Thank you very much.
Your username made me giggle😂 I understand your concern, although it's not something I would recommend but for your needs you will need to remove the bass radiators or at least one of them you can see the difference on my video at 7:20. alternatively maybe try some spacers below the speakers to create a little gap for air to escape, the gap needs to be big enough so the air isn't chafing but also not too large that the drivers will touch the grills which will cause rattling. Good luck 👍🏼
@@shax_diy_hax542 Thank you so much for the reply! I really appreciate it. I know nothing about speaker but I am not afraid to break one. So, by radiators, do you mean the rectangular plate with round corner (at 7:30)? I only know what a driver is i am sorry (it's the round thing isn't it?!) Also, by putting the spacers "under the speaker", my only two brain cells couldn't figure out where to put it. Is it that as long as I can break the sealed "sound chamber", I can reduce the bass? Thank you!!!
I would recommend using some software EQ, such as Dolby Access, to remove all bass frequencies (just drag all the sliders for frequencies below your desired "trigger" frequency to 0). It's way safer than physically removing the bass reflex radiators, would apply to every speaker and is way more effective.
I don't undertand why soundlink flex bass deeper in low vol and also louder in max vol, i bet soundlink driver is about 15w though it has few chip vs alot of chip in emberton and 20w driver. I prefer the the flex but disappointed bt4.2 I'm satisfied emberton circuit board, its batt life, design, and quality, but disappointed sound if compare to flex, in my country the price is the same, would you recommend emberton over soundlink flex, 🙏
The flex has better bass, the emberton has better mids and highs, I don't have the speakers anymore but from what I remember they had the same loudness. If I were to choose I'll go with the Bose flex. I also recommend the JBL flip 6.
Very detailed, and this video just answered what I'd concerned about the unbalanced sound ( shift to the right ) when I sat in front of the emberton to listen. I'd do the stereo sound test too , found that front panel is left channel while the back was right channel which is a liittle bit different to your test. BTW, thx for the video!
do you know what went wrong, if all of sudden emberton doesnt produce any sound? neither the turn-on sound, neither the plugged-in sound.. neither bluetooth-connected sound... completely silent no matter what... out of nowhere this happened... i teardown, recconnect speakers and all, factor reset... nothing changed... Beside dead silent sound , everything else works... it charges, it connects to bluetooth, it turns on, just 0 sound no matter what ... .Did the speakers die? but then its weird that both die at same second...

Coolz I always wanted to find out a way, be aware that some companies made a USBC port an aux in port by using a USBC to mini jack adapter. Ive seen this when I reviewed the mars pro
I've tried it on my flip 6 but it didn't work, looks like it needs to be programmed to work and also may need an analogue to digital adapter chip for it to work.
Excellent tear down, brave man, in your opinion what is the repairability now that the somewhat serviceability has been established. What would be the first to go? Drivers? Battery? Possible drivers upgrade?
It is a stereo speaker, not mono. I was hearing it so clear when tested it with my own Marshall Emberton, so there is left and right channel 💯% ... My hearing is very, very sensitive. I don't get it why they was not put the speakers like left and right channel on the front and one big radiator on the back, lol 😂 ... Why they call it 360°when there is not like 4 speakers on the different sides and example the radiator under the speaker. There is only half of that "360°" 😅 ...

Thank you, you just save me a lot of money, I didn’t realize the single driver on one side and The fake woofer on the other side configuration. I thought it had two full range drivers on the front and two radiators on the rear.
Fake woofer is incorrect, it’s called a passive radiator and it’s actually an excellent concept. My $3,000 sub woofer uses it and it produces almost as much bass as the actual driver. I’ve seen other expensive sealed floor stand speakers using it as well. This Bluetooth speaker is not much good, but the passive radiator concept is a good one.
