To anyone that doesn't have that power outlet on the right side (mine has a little cubby storage), there is no screw there. Once you take off the top two torx (T20) and the bottom two hex screws (7MM), you can pull that entire dash bezel off. Great video man. I have a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT and I just replaced both of the actuators under the stereo/cup holder. Only one was broken and thumping/clicking, but I went ahead and did both since I had it all pulled apart. To anyone reading these comments, if you get cold air on one side and warm on the other, the actuator that would be broken is located behind your glove box. It's the easiest one to get to, but isn't shown in this particular video.
I called the local dealer and they quoted me 6 hours labor and $875 to fix this. I followed this video and the part cost me $26, and I finished the job in 20 minutes. Thank you for saving me all that money and my truck lost for a day over nothing more than dealer greed. My air conditioning works good as new now.

A couple years ago I traded in my 2009 Dodge Ram for a 2019. Before 2009 I always followed the recommended maintenance through the dealer. even though it seemed mostly unnecessary and over-priced. Since 2009, I have not been to a dealer other than to buy my last two trucks and two cars. That's 12 years of ownership of four vehicles and not a single dealer repair. It may have been just good luck, but if you add up what I have saved, it would pay for a lot of repairs at an independent repair shop, where I go and get repairs done for about 50% less and most importantly only when they are actually needed. UA-cam videos like this have saved me thousands.

There's a third actuator that looks exactly like these two. If you remove the glove compartment, you should see another one on the far left side of that opening. That was the one that was clicking for me. Hope that helps someone...

In case no one knows, Dodge issued a recall for this problem. Believe it or not, it's a software issue -- this actuator is computer controlled, and your truck needs a firmware update! So you can replace the actuator or turn that gear around if you want to, but the problem WILL happen again. My 2009 RAM 1500 has 41,000 miles on it and this has happened twice already.
My 2009 Ram had 109,000 miles when this happened for the first time. So even with the recall, I would opt to fix it this way becuase it was so fast and easy. The $26 for the part is worth not losing my truck for a day and getting rides back and forth.
Actually when you hear a clicking sound it's usually a broken tooth in the gear. When you take it apart you will see the teeth are broken . In the other case the motor dies.

It's likely one of these actuators. You can do what he did and check all of them. A broken actuator will not always make noise.

i don't have dual climate but my drivers side is blowing out hot air whereas my passenger side is blowing cold ac.. what do i need to replace? (2014)

There is s release tab on the connector. It could be stuck on as often happens.
