in my humble opinion, i am 70 this year and i have encountered many good singers but i have never seen or heard anyone as talented as this young lady, either male or female. She is more then an Angel.

You said it, one piano and Angelina, even it was just Angelina alone it would still be outstanding.
You are THE BEST! I enjoy your reactions immensely. Of course, you are already aware of her absolutely incomprehensible technique at such an early age, as well as UNPARALLED artistry (taking the MOST iconic songs and completely reinterpreting them); Her covers of Suspicious Minds and Billie Jean are masterpieces. However, your next reaction should be to the live studio version of her original, Million Miles, which is about the loss of her grandfather.
We all know that Adele is a fantastic singer, but being a non-jazz singer
she is not able to match the emotional intensity that a true jazz singer
like Angelina is able to apply to heartfelt ballads like this song. Angelina
has a unique ability to become a 'vocal chameleon' whenever she wants
to incorporate the true vocal sound essence of other singers, including
Adele. She then applies the 'breathy', 'whisper-like', 'sensual' nuances that
Billie Holiday was known for. Then, she goes to the furthest opposite end
of the jazz spectrum where Amy Winehouse reigned as the most uniquely
different jazz singer of all time. Angelina brings forth 'slurring' of words for
added effect that Amy was known for, and radically changing 'key' in mid
sentence like Ms Winehouse would do. The listener is treated to what comes
across as the vocals of 4 superstar singers in one song. Have never heard
another singer do something this intricately complex and keep in mind that
she put this production all together just a few days after hearing Adele's
original release of this masterpiece of a song. The girl is a musical genius
with the ability to master so many different genres of musicality that it truly
boggles the mind.
I agree with you. And being a Jazz singer myself, AJs version resonates with me more than the original.

ann i just rewatched ur other 2 angelina vids. angelina's mother said she had no vocal coaches that her voice was so unique they didn't want anybody messing with it.. you are excellent thanks so much...angelina started singing at 18 months. she studied music theory. plays flute , violin , guitar and piano and i read about 5 years ago that she was mastering sax and a couple more stringed instruments.

@@DonaldLancon Norwegian newspaper "Aftenposten"s culture section, A-Magasinet, featured Angelina in an article over 7 pages on December 22. 2017 (when Angelina was 11). In it Sara stated that Angelina had never had vocal coaching. Her voice was unique and she had nothing to gain in trying to sound like somebody else, and the vocal specialists realised that from the start. Instead she was given music lessons, theory, history and also piano lessons.

If nobody pointed this out, Angelina released this "in studio" version of the song the day after Adele did! That in itself is pretty amazing but Angelina was able to add many subtle changes and nuances that, IMO, made the song more emotionally connected than Adele's version.
Also, it's obvious to those who know Angelina's life that this song has a totally different meaning for her, specially when she talks about being a child and having to choose her path in life, as well as asking people and fans in particular to go "easy on her", respecting her times as a young singer.
In her case, it was the right one because singing is her life. She sings everywhere and all the time :)

I do not why the algorithm is only offering me your reaction today but I will look out for you. Personally I love this cover. She wrote in her own song Shield performed at 12 "forgive me for what I am". I know that she is fully aware of the sacrifices her family has made for her. She sang this very soon after Adeles release. I believe because the lyrics were so meaningful to her. I imagine her singing this to her younger sister who was uprooted from her friends to move with her family to America for Angelinas career.

Ann thank you so very much for giving your analysis for another performance by Angelina Jordan. It will help introduce her to more people and we angels (fans) thank you for that. I had mentioned during the premier, that it is standard procedure to provide a link to the original video in the description. I don't think you could find another video from a vocal coach that doesn't have a link to the original video. For example here is a link to another vocal coach where you can see the information she provides in her description and if you watch the video starting at the 12:00 minute timestamp, then you will hear how well she encourages viewers to support the artist.

Why Angelina always performs barefoot. ♥👣👸🏻
At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. 'Between Two Hearts' ♥👣👸🏻

PLEASE DO Angelina's 1st original release next, "Million Miles" from Republic Records where she got signed at age 14. Not only did she wright this song at 14 years old, but it was in memory of her Grandfather who had just died. it will just melt your heart.
Also her latest release is called 7th Heaven, which she also wrote, and it's very jazzy which shows she's sticking to her roots and developing her own distinct style.
I believe we must support this talented girls present and budding career and promote not only what she's done but to promote and introduce her original work as well.

Her most recent release of the iconic jazz standard, My Funny Valentine, is the best I've ever heard & I've heard a lot of legends sing this song. I think it's an absolute masterpiece that just stuns you. Please react to this one from Feb 14, 2022 (Valentines Day). Unfortunately you don't see her singing, since the video is her modeling in a Hollywood Antique Shop, but the audio is amazing. I know as a vocal coach you want to see her singing, as do I. but this is really epic & you will love it. @@annsouren Yes, react to "My Funny Valentine" because it is outstanding in a very different way from "Easy on Me." It stands out because of the very subtle voice control and playing around with vocal textures, especially with her falsetto.

I have one question? How would you compare Angelina to Judy Garland? I never thought I'd hear or see any young artist that could compare with Judy, but Angelina has something special.
To hear a *very* different side of Angelina, I would suggest "How Great Thou Art", which she apparently did when she was 12, but it wasn't posted until she was almost 14 (and then taken down shortly afterwards - it exists now as a fan-made "music video" by Yozhik v Tumane).

Unfortunately for me I heard AJs version so often I literally cringe when I hear Adele's on the radio, she sounds so flat now after her surgery I feel for Adele I do she knows shes wounded she is only riding on peoples perception of who she used to be.
AJs version has warmth, has depth, and every note is supported with the strength of steel.
I like AJ’s version more, and the way she can feel the music is amazing.
There are three young girls who are on paths to be the future of music -- Angelina Jordan (16), Daneliya Tuleshova (15), and Angelica Hale (14). They all have different styles, but all have fantastic voices and the ability to make any song they sing or cover their own. Angelica just released her piano cover of "Easy on Me" and she too changes the Adele version and adds her touches. @@tomwhite4736 Agree. And they are still young enough that they have lots of options for their careers. All three have unlimited potential. For example, Angelica is already doing voice-overs for two Disney animated series -- T.O.T.S. and Chuggington -- and her first feature film, a musical comedy titled "American Reject" will be released April 12. ua-cam.com/video/upo_7dP_jyQ/v-deo.html She could easily go into acting or Broadway (she's said she's taking acting classes again) or focus on singing and songwriting.
