      Thank you so much! I really try to ensure there is lots of space for journalling and I particularly love to have interactive pull outs and hidden spots in my journals.

      Not all the papers are from the same line, but for this one a majority is Stamperia Papers

    UA-cam recommended you... LOVE LOVE LOVE this how this journal turned out. I've tried making these before and i always feel like it's never as good as the youtubers i subscribe to. Maybe I'm just not that good at it? Lol or maybe i haven't figured out a style that feels like me? I have no idea... but i hope one day i can make one I'm proud of.

      You will develop your own style, my best advise is to have a good combination of a lot of ephemera and stamps and some different papers - let go of the everything has to be perfect (that takes a bit to do lol) and allow yourself to be free. start off with a little journal one signature or a mini one and go from there, its the best way to build on.

    Love your creativity and fabulous ideas! 😊 Did you happen to read some of the book pages that you put into this journal? I totally love the book page aesthetic, but the words do not go with the theme of the journal. Appears to be a steamy-hot romance novel.

      Thank you & No I did not read the pages, i will have to have a look at the book i purchased as the cover title did not indicate that at all. I purchased it from a vintage book store. I will have to keep in mind going forward thanks for the feedback.

    Question: do you actually journal in any book you’ve made? Does this influence the way you construct your journals? I’ve not seen one of these beautiful constructions written in, so wonder how people use them.

      Hi There, When I am constructing a Journal, i sometimes have a theme that I play around with - This one being a botanical theme, that is one of my favourites. That then will dictate the papers and emphemera that i use to put in the journal to decorate it. I always am mindful that people will use them form various reasons, but i always try to put a lot of journalling / writing spots in mine. I particularly like to have a lot of pull out and hidden spots to write you thoughts in. I believe that Junk Journals are both practical in that you can write in them - mainly memories or thoughts not ususally a day by day journal. They are also a piece of art - a happy place to visit if your day is not going that great. I also love Art Journalling for that reason it is a way to express yourself. You may not see a lot of written in journals as the writing would be a personal one. I hope that helps you with your question. Thank you.

    Very nice. I really like your style. Do you decorate all of your pages before you sew them into the cover?

    • @SharonDixon22
      @SharonDixon22  Рік тому +1

      Hi @studiobee22, No not always, this one the pages were sewn in before i decorated them, which i mostly do.

    The paper you use inside your journal looks very heavy.
    , quite stiff, I'm wondering what you're using?

      I use multiple types. If you are talking about the Coffee Dyed Paper, I soak this in Coffee and then dry in the oven, it gives it more body. I also use Paper from 12x12 paper pads, various companies have various thickness like Kaisercraft and Stamperia. I also have some Gel prints in there that have been done on normal printer paper but have acrylic paint on them. I hope this has been some help to you. Let me know if you have any more questions.
