Ngl we are easy to judge that he’s an A level even though a lot of meta heroes are A level lmao. I would say though that I would rather be spending resources on an S level on the rate up banner since it’s harder to get the S level summon letters vs the normal letters
Now speaking of an S level banner … IVE BEEN PLAYING THIS GAME SINCE DAY 1 AND MY SMOKEY AND MEERKY ARE STILL LEGENDARY LMFAO. PUT THEM ON THE BANNER IM DESPERATE 😭😭😭
No hes just really not that great. If Ulmus was going to be a really good character it would be easy to tell by day 1 that hes a must build.
His only use is for Supreme Arena, and there are just better characters you would build before that such as Satrana, Antandra, Vipereon etc. As it is, hes barely usable and by next season won't even be worth using in supreme arena unless hes get's a broken seasonal skill in S2, it's just simply not worth the rate up tickets, just like it was not worth pulling for Soren.
I have the same problem with my Carolina. I just never pull her 😭. It would be nice if they add a single-hero recruitement, where you can put in just 1 specific s-level hero and allways pull this one if you pull an s-lev l. to make it balanced they could put the pity in this to maybe 90 pulls, so normally it would be better to go for the all-hero banner, but if you despretly need one specific you have that option. or they could put all s-level heroes into the arena store.it's annoying that there are not all s-level heroes in ther, especially the ones that never had a banner

I summoned him, due to I want to have some synegize with Lightbearer knockdown, (Temesia, Atalanta, Korin), along with Mauler (Soren, Kruger, Antandra) after a few test hate to say, but he perform very different with Dahny...
Dahny she is a single OP unit that do her own tank thing, but Ulmus he reacts to teammate/situation like Arden, Alsa, and Seth. Generally he is a good teammate.
The other thing to point out is more characters may get released, then he could become more of a meta working with other heros, thats more the only reason you could get him, But tbh hes not crazy in afk journey I found in arena he tossed big rocks all the time after rooting I may be wrong though
At least Ulmus seems more useful than his AFK Arena counterpart.
I have enough to get 2 Celestial/Hypogean, I only have a copy of Reinier but I want to get a Scarlita and Phraesto.

I lost interest in AFK Journey but the good thing is, it made me start playing AFK Arena and I'm having a blast, plus I still get to watch you cause you're the AFK Arena GOAT haha
The power creep is already there. In the video it already said some characters were not as effective as a rate-up character but they were still useable. But when you have enough new characters that do the job slightly better, the power creep is huge. Like, if your current character does the job for 70 and the new character does 80,. It may seem a very low percentage to put into a whole team, but when you have 5 new characters the new team is going to be 10 percent more powerful than the old. That’s where power creep comes in. So they are about to release characters every 2 weeks( counting cel/ hypo units), you will find out that by the middle of the season, the best team for everything has already shifted. If you are still in the old version, old mind set, then your meta would be outdated by then.
Until they make hypogean and celestial more accessible people will continue to leave. 30k guild store takes forever and stargazing is whale exclusive

Epic Seven, a game that came out years ago, still exist, despite having same light\dark elements units that you can't easily access, and many of the are OP and mandatory in pvp (which holds bigger rewards than in Afk Journey, including rank-tied skins).
So no, people are not leaving because of these characters. It's because of district which killed ranking for many, without "re-igniting" servers, which is easily fixable bt changing district into a classic server merging, to allow people to play together and not only be ranked against each other.
And because we have these stupid purple banners that people don't want to roll on.
And lack of new skins and big gameplay events (not battle-reward cycle like current one, or puzzles like the one that finished just a couple of days ago).
Rare characters (most of which are not that useful anyway, and the only one OP in utility works even after you get just 1 copy) are the least of this game problems.
@@rinslittlesheepling1652 I have played epic seven for years and more people are quitting often than not anymore because you have to roll on every mystic summon and if you don't you do not succeed in pvp. the last 6 ml units are MUST HAVE for pvp or you are hard stuck below legend. It's a slippery slope making your whale units completely take over the game.
So he’s a “Win-more” character not a necessity

At this moment i am only playing until we get a good caracter so i can spend my 3 months gem savings and then quite cause is not worth the effort to log in anymore . I am disspointed to be honest .
Ppl r leaving this game rapidly and the main issue is devs dont listen... well sad had high hopes for this game
Actually, the devs do listen. They've changed quite a bit of the way they've done (or planned on doing) things according to player input. Now, you (and others) might not like some of what they've done... but that doesn't change the fact that they have.
@@michaelcooper1558 many people have already left the game and the problem is once, they are left they will not come back since they are so far behind others. And I dont think people will come back just for a new season. The game has potential, but it's kinda too late really with all the super p2w aspects and annoying mechanics

It has p2w mechanics by default, litterally the core of it is being p2w.
Devs won’t change that because someone complain about it, neither they care for those complains
@@vietanh2101 You have seen the F2P accounts of the content creators... right? You are aware basically ALL mobile games have P2W aspects now... right? I'm sure this game is making bank for Lilith, and Far Light. Why on earth would they change that massively? I wouldn't, and neither would you if were you them. It's a super fun game. Now, are there aspects that could be better?... Sure, but this could be said of essentially every game ever made. It's not "super" P2W either. You just need to know what heroes to focus on, and I'm sure had you asked around in game, people would have helped you out with that. There's also a TON of content out there about stuff like that. Some people choose not to listen to it... and that's their own fault.
@@michaelcooper1558 Well, I speak from the perspective of a whalish player. I spent like 300-500$ in the first two weeks and I was in the top 5 server for dream realm. But since I didnt pay anymore, I have dropped to top 40 in only 2-3 weeks.
This is a pvp game, and not only you have to pay for heroes, but also seasonal essence and levels, temporal essences and half a dozen of other things. I would say that I'm quite qualified to comment on the gap between paying and not paying. Even the dev did address this in their notes, but I think it's already too late, and seasonal essence still exists in in bundles so there will still be a massive gap between p2w and f2p.
I'm feeling burn out and I'm not alone, since all players in my friendlist, who are all the top whale players, 30-40% of them have stopped playing. I could imagine the rate of dropout is much much worse for casual players.
