You have to consider getting stargaze orbs if you hit champion for arena store xd, after cecia you can never go wrong with rowan,hewyn and the rest is all account dependant, odie sup+ is a must for big dmg boost , and 100gems is worth for hero essence for sure imo

What I learned in this video is that free to play players should bide their time. Spending diamonds for letters and maximize discounts in store. I'm actually surprised that f2p is viable on this game. But as every mmo's out there, f2p players has no chance competing for the top spots.
"Reinier + Shakir" strat I haven't tried, but if anyone is curious you can also do - Reinier + Korin (Korin just jumps back to shield an ally), and also Reinier + Viperian are some of the strats some people could use (I do not use this as idk about using Viperian in arena, maybe some afk stages or story, BUT Viperian just does not swap out, so the foe teleports to your side and Viperian stays in place)

The level of progression is definitely slower when you don’t get those amazing characters at mythic or mythic+!! Even as a F2P, progression is really slow until you get those character copies. I play pretty casually but I am at AFK Stage 565. I prioritize copies of the current standard banner characters in the game. Unless you have a character that only needs that one copy to benefit your account, I think having a stacked roster of the standard characters is a must to progress. Keep up the awesome content!!👍

I fully agree with this. It should have been more like an interview, where the host asks questions and actually lets the guest answer. This was very frustrating to watch at times, especially considering how good this guest was.
I started the game blind and went for my team of smokey, nara, lily may, cecia, and phraestros (used tree til I got that one) got them all now to S+ as a ftp (went hard on the free gems on nara's banner) now I am still ftp and I am in top 15 on endless afk stages, able to beat enemies thousands of power above me with some luck and placement, and top 13 on endless dream realm. top damage on my guild. I can and have surpassed some of the members on the top guild on the server. it's so easy to get there as ftp. buying is easier obviously, but ftp is also easy to do.
Art is good and these types of "afk" games fit mobile genre... I wish other games had same polish to them. The best games on play store are either from my middle school days or copies of their PC version.
Volkin I have 2 questions that are kinda related: 1 - Which Exclusive Equipment should people prioritize (Which Champions are priorite, which Level they should stop leveling) and 2 - Which Guild chest is better the one that gives you summons resources or the one that gives you Essence (Exclusive Equipment/Legendary+ Skills resource)?

Great discussion with Dangergrey. Really enjoyed the talk, especially because the focus was mainly on F2P. I have a question for you two. As a F2P, who would you spend your first 75 temporal essences into first, to hit the +10 EX weapon? Odie or Marilee? Odie will be able to ult faster with his heart breaker, Marilee would deal way more damage to bosses with EX +10. My Odie is already Supreme and i am building up my Marilee since a week and she is half way done to Mythic. I am barely able to keep myself in the top 100 in dream realm right now and the +10 into Marilee might makes it easier to secure that top 100 spot in dream realm for the future. What are your thoughts?
you sound really dream realm focused, so I'd say Marilee is the much stronger play there, but you have to consider how much more usable Eddie is all around, too, whereas she is only usable in Dream Realm and on BD bosses, right now. So, I'd honestly say do Eddie first, because as a F2P you arent likely to get many more them for a very long time, and he will help you in so many more areas. But if you want to help your dream realm, Marilee is the way to go, and additionally, they will probably fix the temp essence situation sooner than later because it's just completely untenable right now how scarce they are for the long term so I dont expect it to last this way. hope that non-answer is useful to you LOL
@@DangerGrey Yeah, thats exactly my dilemma. I had basically the same thought process. Odie will help me massively in all other areas, since the initial energy will start his ult chain much earlier, which helps especially, when the enemy team has a lot of burst. On the other hand if i upgrade Marilee to EX +10, i might be able to keep myself on this server in the top 100 (maybe with Marilee EX +10 i can even push it to top 50), and i could feed those temporal essences into Odie. It's really a though choice. Thank you for responding.
when you arrive to champion in the arena shop appear 5 crystals for the stargaze which costs 1200 for one, so if you close to champion dont use your arena coins

Loved this -super helpful! I had a question you two might have advice on. I got super lucky and pulled multiple Eirons early. He’s mythic now, while the rest are Legendary or under. Is it better to try to play to this OP unit based on the hand I was given, I know late game he gets amazing, or should I still focus on the meta early game teams you two discussed?
Depends how far into the game you are really. Don't try to force play the meta, like we said, you should play what you are given, BUT also just because you have 4 copies of Eironn doesnt mean hes going to be savage lol - he really comes online at M+ like so many heroes do, when he can group everyone up right off the start of combat. His +10 is really fantastic, but I havent had the temp essence to spare to build it up yet myself, but if you are a spender then leaning into the Eironn and maxing his EX to 10 early would be a strong play. If you aren't, i would erm, just use him until i start losing 😆 I have 4 copies as well on global, but i basically never use him yet. just excited he's coming along nicely :)) except in Battle Drills actually - in BD he is absolutely savage, so scratch what I just said lol. He helps a TON get those farm teams down before the 60s mark for the full refund of +6 stam back, pair him with parisa or cecia and basically anyone as a third, and you will be clearing all the farm mobs using only a TOTAL of 18 stamina per battle~
Lots of useful advice on how to manage this game as F2P... where I'm not going to follow a lot of it despite being basically F2P. lol Personally, playing a gacha game F2P while being concern with meta to get as much as you can out of the game has always been too stressful and unfun for me. I want to play with my favourites after all. I've been using my dream essence on Lyra for example and been saving my diamonds for the time being to save for Lorsan (if he ever becomes a unit). As far I'm concern, if playing for my own fun means I can't properly progress in the game and actually enjoy the content, then personally think that's on Lilith/Farlight for making the game so restrictive, and thus not worth playing. But so far from what I've played, that doesn't seem to be the case thankfully.
that is why u funnel into something your account is going in be it is a luck game and just have fun until we get all we need and then quit to the next game that is the cycle of these games
in champ you can't not nuy pvp tickets. I get attacked 10 times per recet (so about -80) and if i do my attacks properly i can get at most 120-140 point with 10 attacks so i can at most go up 40-60 points if i win (i'm on the lower end of champ and my team is lower power than most)
Funny, this basicly summs up everything i'm doing already :) Cecia was rly huge! I was able to Clean Up the hole Mountains with only cecia being at 150, the rest was still only 140 so i couldn't progress anymore for 2 days basicly >.< Does this also happen to p2p players as well or is it only f2p ? i think this f2p obsession is too much. I mean 1$ pack with rowan on top is not a big deal in terms of spending. Some people smoke cigarettes and killing themselves and they spend tons of money on that "hobby". Why not support the devs?
Agreed. They don't make games for free. It's a business like any other, even Nintendo and Microsoft. Just a different type of payment setup. Pay is not a bad word, and if no one does then the game dies.
Because its quite literally gambling, There's so many post about how people have no control and spent all their monthly earning and cant do anything. I am almost 3 weeks in and I am mythic plus and his really good I could push him for supreme plus as a f2p I will make more sense to get more mythic plus than 1 supreme plus
oh it DEFINITELY is worth it as f2p IMHO, as it's some of the only access we get!! and the arena heroes are all useful, but none of them as MUST builds besides an M+ Cecia super early, and then eventually an M+ Hewynn... but this will change over time of course, and also it always depends on your team... but i so far I feel that every single stargazer you can get your hands on you absolutely must if you want to keep up as f2p in current state of the game ♥

Hey Chespin, I know you didn't ask me, but I would say yeah do it!! Once she hits M+, Cecia is more or less built as much as you will need her , and Carolina ia realllly strong and takes reallllly long to build (and it's even more about that second part haha)

how does he only have 30 million power? not that's its not a lot but compared to what I've seen I though it would be way higher... There are 5 people on Server 7 with over 35 million and have been for over a week. The highest on there is 39 million. They must have spent so much money to be further than a year's worth of f2p progress within only 4 weeks of playing. They have been there for a week now so there must be some kind of wall they hit at around 30 million and it must be the Paragon levels and synergy levels that where they hit a wall and progress really slow - WOAH he's not at paragon yet... in a year. damn
bad wishlist/not knowing good heroes to invest keys(since its rare), not pushing afk stages/story and not joining guild is the top 3 devastating mistakes, otherwise you just play the game and complete (red dot) stuff and its fine
2-4 copies is plenty, just enough so he can live on the fights where he's necessary, which is especially frequent the higher up you try to push progression quickly (more damage coming at you fast means the potions are the only way to survive burst dps ( = damage per second for the person above who said we werent new player friendly (sorry!!! will try to remember this in future!!!)) honestly 1 copy is plenty now though, since vala is back available to add to wishlist next to temesia!
I don't get one point, as free to play player is better burn diamond for summoning every day or is better to hoard them (because I have redeemed all the code and I have a good amount of diamond)
the way that Cecia puts enemies into a 2-4 second stunlock with the thorns, and they all sit there and cant move, that is an example of control. crowd control is the frequent term you'll hear, or CC most commonly, and it means keeping the enemies in some kind of orderly fashion so we arent dealing with 5 at a time the whole fight... loosely speaking :) there isnt a whole lot of cc heroes in the game yet but there will be, as it's a staple of this kind of rpg fighting genre combat, from gachas to their birthplace in MMOs like EverQuest and later World of Warcraft. Arden's root, is another very strong and important example of CC, which you will hear a LOT about for the next two months as people begin to progres into Abyss!! root is one of the oldest and most widespread commonplace CC in existence in gaming. a simple root is easy to understand i think, too. enemy cant go nowhere. if it's a caster it's not nearly as effective as if theyre a melee, for obvious reasons. hope that quick clinic helps a little? i'll make a video about it soon just for you!! (ok, and your 27,000 friends here too maybe ) great question!!!

so sorry! will try to remember this in future!! if you can think of any of the parts that were confusing, or link them, I will try to help explain whatever terms you didni't know!!! dps = damage per second literally, but generally used to mean any damage doing character cc = crowd control, things that limit the mobility of the enemies so you dont have 5 at once, stuff like root (arden) or the thorns cecia's ult creates on enemies, or tasi's sleep (afk arena), those are all cc abilities a tier heroes are the purples ones (marilee, antandra, arden) s tier heroes are the golden ones (shakir, cecia, hewynn) idk what else there would have been!! will really try to be more careful of that in the future

Temesia has been my main and only tank since day 1. She was the first S rank i pulled. Now my team is all S+10 with 24m power.

(12 stam to pull it, per hero, with 6 stam back per hero, if the fight ends in less than 30s (at the 60s mark or sooner)

Playing since beta you can be FTP and be a monster.
Lots of useful advice on how to manage this game as F2P... where I'm not going to follow a lot of it despite being basically F2P. lol
Personally, playing a gacha game F2P while being concern with meta to get as much as you can out of the game has always been too stressful and unfun for me. I want to play with my favourites after all. I've been using my dream essence on Lyra for example and been saving my diamonds for the time being to save for Lorsan (if he ever becomes a unit). As far I'm concern, if playing for my own fun means I can't properly progress in the game and actually enjoy the content, then personally think that's on Lilith/Farlight for making the game so restrictive, and thus not worth playing. But so far from what I've played, that doesn't seem to be the case thankfully.
I threw 30 individual letters in the Volkin superstitious way and got to pity. Imma just pull 10s from not on.
that is why u funnel into something your account is going in be it is a luck game and just have fun until we get all we need and then quit to the next game that is the cycle of these games
in champ you can't not nuy pvp tickets. I get attacked 10 times per recet (so about -80) and if i do my attacks properly i can get at most 120-140 point with 10 attacks so i can at most go up 40-60 points if i win (i'm on the lower end of champ and my team is lower power than most)
Which ex weapon would be a priority to level to use your yellow essence?

I was able to Clean Up the hole Mountains with only cecia being at 150, the rest was still only 140 so i couldn't progress anymore for 2 days basicly >.<

i think this f2p obsession is too much. I mean 1$ pack with rowan on top is not a big deal in terms of spending. Some people smoke cigarettes and killing themselves and they spend tons of money on that "hobby". Why not support the devs?

Agreed. They don't make games for free. It's a business like any other, even Nintendo and Microsoft. Just a different type of payment setup. Pay is not a bad word, and if no one does then the game dies.
Because its quite literally gambling, There's so many post about how people have no control and spent all their monthly earning and cant do anything. I am almost 3 weeks in and I am mythic plus and his really good I could push him for supreme plus as a f2p I will make more sense to get more mythic plus than 1 supreme plus

If you can push into champion in the arena you can 5 stargaze as week at 1200 arena coins not sure if that worth it though.
oh it DEFINITELY is worth it as f2p IMHO, as it's some of the only access we get!! and the arena heroes are all useful, but none of them as MUST builds besides an M+ Cecia super early, and then eventually an M+ Hewynn... but this will change over time of course, and also it always depends on your team... but i so far I feel that every single stargazer you can get your hands on you absolutely must if you want to keep up as f2p in current state of the game ♥

I dont think there is a 100% right answe but i did in place for carolina and then ill get last 2 cecia from arena store
Hey Chespin, I know you didn't ask me, but I would say yeah do it!! Once she hits M+, Cecia is more or less built as much as you will need her , and Carolina ia realllly strong and takes reallllly long to build (and it's even more about that second part haha)

I guess, I'll continue her in the wishlist then since I already used up many Acorns to make her Supreme. I wanna finish my business with her first and make her to Supreme+ before putting someone else in her place. She's my main damage dealer in every Dream Realm bosses as of now.

In PvP, I'm still in Legendary but I'm not so serious about it lately, just using up my attacks.
how does he only have 30 million power? not that's its not a lot but compared to what I've seen I though it would be way higher... There are 5 people on Server 7 with over 35 million and have been for over a week. The highest on there is 39 million. They must have spent so much money to be further than a year's worth of f2p progress within only 4 weeks of playing. They have been there for a week now so there must be some kind of wall they hit at around 30 million and it must be the Paragon levels and synergy levels that where they hit a wall and progress really slow -

bad wishlist/not knowing good heroes to invest keys(since its rare), not pushing afk stages/story and not joining guild is the top 3 devastating mistakes, otherwise you just play the game and complete (red dot) stuff and its fine

2-4 copies is plenty, just enough so he can live on the fights where he's necessary, which is especially frequent the higher up you try to push progression quickly (more damage coming at you fast means the potions are the only way to survive burst dps ( = damage per second for the person above who said we werent new player friendly (sorry!!! will try to remember this in future!!!))
honestly 1 copy is plenty now though, since vala is back available to add to wishlist next to temesia!
I don't get one point, as free to play player is better burn diamond for summoning every day or is better to hoard them (because I have redeemed all the code and I have a good amount of diamond)

everyone gets a free *healer* at the beginning, on their 3rd ten draw, or 30th card I think. but it could be rowan, or hewynn, or smokey.
The only reason Volkin is running low on acorns is due to his S rank luck...
Can someone make a video on "Control"? What is it exactly and which Units do it?
the way that Cecia puts enemies into a 2-4 second stunlock with the thorns, and they all sit there and cant move, that is an example of control. crowd control is the frequent term you'll hear, or CC most commonly, and it means keeping the enemies in some kind of orderly fashion so we arent dealing with 5 at a time the whole fight... loosely speaking :)
there isnt a whole lot of cc heroes in the game yet but there will be, as it's a staple of this kind of rpg fighting genre combat, from gachas to their birthplace in MMOs like EverQuest and later World of Warcraft.
Arden's root, is another very strong and important example of CC, which you will hear a LOT about for the next two months as people begin to progres into Abyss!! root is one of the oldest and most widespread commonplace CC in existence in gaming. a simple root is easy to understand i think, too. enemy cant go nowhere. if it's a caster it's not nearly as effective as if theyre a melee, for obvious reasons.

dps = damage per second literally, but generally used to mean any damage doing character
cc = crowd control, things that limit the mobility of the enemies so you dont have 5 at once, stuff like root (arden) or the thorns cecia's ult creates on enemies, or tasi's sleep (afk arena), those are all cc abilities
a tier heroes are the purples ones (marilee, antandra, arden)
s tier heroes are the golden ones (shakir, cecia, hewynn)
idk what else there would have been!! will really try to be more careful of that in the future
