I still think Thoran is better on Arena defense for the simple fact Odie exsist. Odie checks every tank in pvp except for Thoran with his revives. You can't justify running another tank without opening the door to a +20 Odie under enlightening spell.
I mean.
Noone really runs oddie on high-tier arena.
Even with Enlightened spell he would get crushed under ged arden/alsa or skarlitta.
Like, Oddie won’t be able to carry your team if it will be Cc’ed and Oneshoted in several seconds.
And I’m yet to test if Ulmus can cheat oddie’s execute.

If you take the traditional eironn comp and swap carolina for cassadee and thoran for ulmus, you still get a mage with magic def debuff but you have a cc mechanic that works for ulmus as well. I haven’t tried it, just throwing it out there.
I’ve personally tried the following comp and I like it a lot. Ulmus eironn soren hewynn and reinier. In regular arena, I apply the enlightened buff to soren and reinier swap my hewynn if I can. I have changed out reinier for shakir in the event that hewynn can’t be swapped and achieved good results, but I think lyca would work very well too. For afk pushing, you can apply reinier swap to eironn instead of hewynn and use thunder spell, dashing spell, or quickblade spell.
what about granny vs ulmus
As someone who has both at sup+.
I like Ulmus more
Ulmus is a definite upgrade to Thoran especially to dolpins because when u swap out carolina to scarlita and thoran to ulmus, the true difference is immense.
interested to see ulmus + alsa + soren + eironn + arden for maximum cc synergy, since there hasn't seemed to be much use for soren yet

the og meta team(eiron, damian,arden and caro) just replacing granny with thoran (that will also give 4 faction bonus same as ulmus team) so would be perfect comparison.
Who can I substitute Carolina with?
I’m sooo tired of Erion Smokey Scorpion non-auto team. I really want a detailed report on how much Ulmus can help me do auto AFK if put into this team when the enemies are 100-150 level above me.
I haven't pulled Ulmus I might skip him but believe scorpion boy is a beast but sadly not everyone can get him to S+ since I got him I auto afk stages at least 25-30 lvls each time I lvl my characters 10 lvl each and I only play auto, I saw a team him and the hypogean seems pretty solid
@@OveR-LorD83 I’m working on scorpion and still need 2 copies of him to unlock his weapon. He’s already doing his job but seems fragile when enemies are 100-110 levels above me. I believe getting his weapon could fix this. The problem for me is, hand control each single battle is such a pain. I saw some other vtuber’s vido recommended Ulmus claimed that he could enable auto battle for scorpion Smokey Erion team. I just don’t know how far Ulmus can help the team. If he really help make the process much more painless, I’d pull for him.
@@ce551029 my team for afk scorpion, smoky, odie, koko and forabell all weapons to lvl recommend lvl ofc scorpion and odie both 15 the rest all 10 ten, I have gonna tell u that scorpion is the strongest tank he can take so many damage and still alive, as I said the problem is u need him as S+ with lv15 weapons he will become a steal wall I never played manual since I got him, plus he’s good in dream real since I start using I finish top 3 before between 8th and 10th
I'd love to know about Alsa swapped in instead of Carolina.
We need check "maximum damage team" Alsa, Ulmus, Arden, Eiron, Carolina. Who cares about heal or support in team? Just instakill whole enemy team

Nah, the whole combo relies on Eironn
Eironn is the best pairing for ulmus by far and large. That duo alone enables so many avenues of approach opening the door to multiple other comp options

I actually replaced Thoran with Ulmus in arena and he’s been doing some work for me. I went from being in the 30’s to rank 13 in my server using him. He compliments the CC Eironn meta very well in PvP.
Pretty triggering that as soon as I got my Thoran built up, they release Phaestro and now you're saying even a freaking a level in ulmus is better
I mean, most of the most important heroes in the game are A level. Koko, Odie, Marilee, Korin, Damian, and Arden, to name a few.
I have over 150 rate up tickets and 60k gems saved by now...simply because nothing was worth pulling for. I was hopeful for Ulmus, but a "sidegrade" for stuff that doesn't really matter is starting to bore me :/ I sure hope Talene will be an obvious upgrade, or any of the units left for this season.
first off i like your videos keep it up :) but you are showing off a team with 100 lvl deficit. thats not that much. im 140 lvl deficit and that team would just not work there you just cannot down most of the teams in time. only smokey working at higher deficit pushing imo in 90% of all cases.
That's not the point of this video though. I 100% understand, but there are MANY players using this style of team f2p that want to see the direct comparison
