How do we feel about back to back A Levels?
This guy looks like he could be really good in the meta and I have no problem with A level banners, but Soren was disappointing so it's hard not to wonder about whether this guy will end up being too weak. Mechanically he's very cool and I can see how having a character who Offtanks at the start and then acts more like a support afterwards could be really good for stage pushing - especially since he synergizes so well with Eironn/Arden. If his tuning is good I'm definitely excited to try him out.

I really wish they would give us better characters. Looks like I’ll be saving yet again.
I don't mind A levels since being S/A characters doesn't mean anything for tier placement, but this new character just seems underwhelming right now in design and skills, so I will just keep saving gems and pulling on the normal banner with the white envelopes to max out my existing roster...
Graveborn has like 3-4 characters less than other factions and they release maulers and wilder
exactly, like...the maulers make sense to release during mauler season, and I figured they are saving graveborn for graveborn season, but then it's like time to take a break from all the maulers...by releasing a wilder of all things. which feels kind of unnecessary right now.
they just want to intentionally fuck up our standard wishlist 👍
I think they are holding Graveborn heroes till the story reach the Graveborn Realms
There are 3 Graveborn datamined heroes, but most prolly they are going to save the majority of them for the next graveborn season
@@remnants9974 The thing is, we already had a Wilder in Flora, and a Lightbearer before that. Not giving us a Graveborn after the Maulers is a big mistake imo. At this point i would even settle for a A class Graveborn because the ones we have now are very mid. Other factions at least have some must-have A classes.
What annoys me too is that i'm sitting on like 50 rate up invite letters. They should just give us normal ones if they release characters no one wants/needs.
I love how every CC out there said that we are due for a really hype hero and we get an A level tree

I think the A levels should be paired into S level banners as being an extra A level added onto your wishlisted but at a higher rate than other As and if you get it you get multiple copies of it.
At this point I will have saved so much currency up I would have no need to spend any money at all when a character I want actually comes along.. lol

We've had so many crap heroes released since launch.
Real, I mean f2p we can't even climb the ranks like for real-real, so I think we mainly play for new chars, but when they don't feel worth of pulling currency what's the point fkjkjdf so we sit doing nothing
Although if the meta kept changing, I don't know how people are going to be able to keep up with EX equipment mats (orange essences). You only get 6 orange essences per day only (presume top 5 server and top 20 district on dreamrealm)

Power creep isnt the solution, CC counter is. However, power creep stagnate meta mora than anything and actually you can beat anyone in arena using right comp and position.

Lilith is known for screwing up games. Look at farlight84 that game is one of the best known fps games before then become the worst because of their updates. So yeah typical Lilith updates.

Imagine if all of the new characters are S tier. There's no fun if that happens. Plus Ulmus as A-tier is reasonable. He isn't very useful in Afk Arena but he's not trash. He's fine

Could be good in the eironn comp. His weapon cc isn’t for just his own knockback so it’ll take eironns 6 second stun to 8 seconds. Eironn almost has another ult by then and it’ll be another 8 seconds of stun right afterward. Bring florabelle, Arden, and Damian/rowan into the fight and it’s nonstop cc 😮
i think its a good thing, especially for f2p players. sets the standard that they will be releasing new A lvl chars which are easier for f2p to obtain and will hopefully have competitive use cases. also as a f2p player it is nice to not feel like they are only adding S lvl chars that just add more backlog to the list of chars to build
yeah thats why ihave mixed feelings. i think the biggest problem is the lack of communication so we can have an idea on what we can expect
I am glad you caught the 10 and 4 seconds confusion... I was scratching my head like crazy, it was so confusing. Once again lack of information on their side when it comes to release or how they are planing releases and also giving us contradicting information. Like how isn't this double or tripple checked before the teaser comes out? 🤔
This could be a translation error, as 10 and 4 is really close in Chinese pronunciation, i think itll be 10

@@MrPecman In most Gatcha games, there are gamemodes that come out where you can only use "S" level characters, and im most Gatcha games the "A" level characters cannot be maxed out or are significantly weaker then the "S" level characters, when you have played gatcha games for 10+ years and AFKJ is like one of two Gatchas where this is not the case there is going to be bias against "lesser" characters.
@@MrPecman This game definitely does differentiate the S and A tier heroes in a huge way... how you ascend them. For the amount of currency we have to sink into a new rate up hero I agree that it doesn't seem worth it. Yes their powers are the same, SI's/hero focuses are all the same. But having to slog for X times more of them to ascend is the drawback.

At this point I feel like they are releasing mid tier heroes to force us to pay for cel/hypos or something 😂
My theory is that they will next release a really good S-tier hero, prompting free-to-play players and moderate spenders to exhaust their gems. Subsequently, they will introduce an overpowered hero, maybe Talene, in quick succession, compelling players to spend money!
Maybe the Supreme+ changes the EX to 4 seconds? Or maybe devs deemed it was too op at 4 seconds.
I think there’s many knockdown units that will synergize well with him.
I don't really have anything to say that we aren't already saying. I feel like any other game would release an S-hero with an A-hero and put them on the same banner. While an A-level hero very well could be better than an S-hero, something about it just doesn't... feel ... worth it? I don't know.
They're giving us more rate-up tickets, but I MUCH rather save the tickets they give me for S-hero banners and wait to pull A-heroes on regular banners. Ulmus looks like a very cool character, but being an A-hero doesn't get me hype, and doesn't incentivise me to spend money on them if that is the goal.

It says it increases the duration by 2 seconds when affected by other displacement effects too, so it makes Eironn better as well
Dude I have been been saving up my diamonds ever since I got vala to mythic+ , now I have 100k diamonds saved up as a completely f2p player
I really wished that they would announce a couple of characters and show how they work at once with different release date to help f2p players to save for better characters and raise the hype rather than releasing unhype character after unhype character every few weeks. They can also introduce more banners or exclusive banners with a good event. For example a guaranteed s plus character ticket of your interest but only obtainable from an event together with other rewards. This can keep the players much more engaged.
Ngl the game should release more daily events that are grindable while having limited attempts for resources rather than relying on just your afk progress to help with raising character levels
Lastly, please make the freaking emporium for the s levels characters to rotate every week or at least every expansion to help f2p players to raise specific units
I also do think that more methods should be introduced to us to gain more gold essence or just adjust the dream realm rewards to better suite the majority of the player base needs
Maybe we will be having Tasi in the next banner after Ulmus.

You'd think they would ask their creator community for feedback before they do something like this to understand how it will be received, tone deaf is an understatement.
A new character should fill a niche and I just don't see how this character would get wish list priority over something else.
Incredibly underwhelming character that no one asked for and no one needs in their arsenal to do something they currently are not capable of.
im just gonna go for him. he looks pretty cool. not too fussed about him being an a level since ill just go for another character in the dream store
New S-rank and A-rank heroes should be in the same banner. Just like the other great team gacha games specially the Japan exlusives
definitely should have been released along side an S level character. After the pain of summoning for Soren, I'm not pulling for A levels again

He is literally Scarlita in his 2nd phase. Energy regen + shielding front hero
He is about as much of a tank as Temesia is, which means not at all. His big appeal is him being immune to CC effects once he goes to the backline. I doubt it will be enough (by far), but having more CC Immune options to deal with Eironn bullcrap is not a bad thing.
Been saving a ton of pulls and honestly I am disappointed for another A level.
AFK Journey is really shooting themselves in the foot with this one. We NEED a hype S rank hero ASAP or else the game dies.
At this point, I don’t know how much longer the remaining player base will last. I guess I’ll stick with Honor Duel until the next patch lol

Des dropping the ball with unhyped units and A rank banners are nasty work.
I think him linked with thoran might be solid but otherwise the chance of getting dropped to 30% and surviving the next shot is few and far between when pushing afk stages. Might be more useful as a guild boss/dream realm where his damage increases when he drops to back line. Ty for the quick highlights mang
If he can survive Wolf boss, then he'll probably be used as the tank instead of Florabelle.
Wilders did need another Tank tbh.
I don't mind another A rank because I'm the type to get 1 of each character.
Also I think it's easy to save Diamonds in these games.

Hi Volkin, i'd like to share a thought with you about a suggestion i have to the game so if you like it would you please talk about it, i don't know, maybe this could reach the developers since you are a great youtuber in the field. So, what do you think about a new Emporium shop that we could exchange a heroe's soul gem for another soul gem of a different heroe? Same tier and maybe a few exchanges per month?
So he's an A level Character and it's like we should be having another S level character when he releases or maybe after his banner is done. I will say that it's cool that we got another A level hero to pull in the future.
I don't know if you guys noticed this, but when fighting the primal lord, one of the playes on the sides name was ainz ooal gown!!

we should be getting only the s of high units in rate up while just getting 5 A teirs so we have a good amount of new stuff. T.T im still waiting on more graveborn
I've saved 90 banner invitations and 20k gems waiting for them to drop something interesting, so far we've got: Vala (which I S+ because waifu), Two furrys, one is a kid and the other a teenager and a demon only worth it for whales. Lilith started so well with this game, and I was so hype. Seems like they don't want it to go well 😕

Too early to say, but it feels like he may just make eironn even more annoying in pvp for those who can afford to spend on him and be a pass for most everyone else. Who knows though, his ex effect seems pretty strong with florabelle, if they stay knocked down for the additional duration.
I 100% agree with you another A rank hero is kinda lame. I'm still waiting for leaked fairy char and Talene hopefully they will release them soon.

I’m strongly opposed both from a lack of need for a new tank, a lack of uniqueness on the overall kit, and a disappointing back to back A level. 21 more days with nothing exciting is a big bummer.
They are really trying to make people to quit the game. Extreme long boring seasons (after the story is done), ridiculous events, boring ass heroes... damn.

I am not using rate up tickets on A-Level banners when I can get chars basically free from the Dreamstore. Time to keep saving I guess
2nd quarter revenue must be sufficient, saving the S rank must haves until the new quarter which starts in July. Bummer
What if:
- Starting a new season, power will grow overwhelmingly compared to the base power, to let it seem a new start
- The new power don't grow exponentially (at least not a superlinear grow), to let be right back who miss some days of growth.
That would not ruin the whole season to whoever miss the start or some days of playing.

Yeah... the back to backs are meh. Not worth it to summon for from rate-up, and I agree 100% that the zero communication is killing it for a lot of players. Also the tooltip saying 10 then Dolly says 4... ffs xD
I'm for sure holding off as a fellow F2P. Sitting on 85k and building diamonds waiting for that big hype character to dive into to nitro throttle my account.
If the next one coming is fire, I could see it being a decent amount of time for F2P build up. If not, for sure seems like a missed opportunity

Despite current state of the game, i feel like devs are not even trying to hype it AFKJN, no road map, no codes etc.
so, effectively, its just as bad as thoran where you have a tank that dies and loses aggro so everything kills the rest of your units, rather than having a tank thats actually tanky (I know thoran is great otherwise), and obviously talking about overpowered content because in at level content it doesn't really matter what tank you use.
I have now 120k gems saved + 45 invitation letters saved as F2P. Do they not want us to spend our free currency so eventually we are out of pulls, feel frustrated and considering putting money in the game? I really don’t get why do they not bring more hype to characters that are being released, have them be stronger and S tier. This is a big fail to me!

imo A Level Heroes alone in a rate up banner feels like a robery they should've put them alongside a rate up S char so that you can only obtian the new A hero when you pull an A char in the rate up and the only the new S when you obtain a gold char bringing them alone is super duper trash and it makes no sense easy skip gg xD

AFK journey: a great release, a disaster management afterwards: the tower gives nothing at high levels, all will be lost at season end in September, the raids and drills are just for high wales, and now an A hero? I hope Soren switches with another unrevealed S rank, otherwise ill leave the game
Towers aren't meant to be infinite grinds, just a way to guage power growth over time. If they refreshed it every 2 months it would be fine.
I don't think it's bad that a-level characters are also in the banners since we can't build every new character anyway unless we are whales. So it gives us a pause to actually save ressources for the next s-level. and if it is a broken a-level like odie, we can still go all in. but back to back a-level is really bad. i think it would be healthy if they always change between a and s-level characters

@@Sipalman Yeah i know. I also don't think 3 s-level in a row is a good thing. The best would be to expand the banner and always release a s and an a-level character together and both go to the banner. that way they can change banners all 6 weeks and release two new geroes along with it
