So according to you, one can only be allowed to make a video of the place your from. So than I could NEVER have a traveling youtube channel.. and change my life.. I would have to stay where I was born, a poor country and never get ahead. that makes perfect sense, if you want to starve the death.
What do y'all get out of doing this? Just move to the hood if you want to see it so bad and y'all doing alot of profiling and y'all come off kinda prejudice
We got to poor areas, and rich areas.. and just because an area is BLACK I wont stop myself from going there. Segregation is OVER, if you wanna keep living like that LEAVE FLORIDA go to Alabama or Mississippi where you belong
You have no clue about the geographical areas within Tampa. @19:45 isn’t even Sulfur Springs anymore anything after that point in the video is clearly Temple Terrace. Get a clue!
Oh, long before that. I'd say when they left Waters St, they were leaving Sulphur Springs... though I guess the argument could be made that Rowlett Park and the ballfields across the street are still part of Sulphur Springs, since kids from my neighborhood play there. Still, by the time they got to Busch Gardens at 30th & Busch @13:45, they were well out of "my hood". And nobody's gonna jump you on Sitka. Sometimes, a tire is just a tire, and a homeless guy just wants to be left alone. Why bother jumping random people who venture off Nebraska when you can make a lot more money begging (or, uh, "selling goods & services") on Nebraska or Florida? When homeless people wander into the residential parts of Sulphur Springs, they're just looking to take a nap most of the time.
I bought a house in Sulphur Springs two years ago and y’all are dragging it. There may have been a time when Sulphur Springs was dangerous but it isn’t anymore. Y’all are confusing run down with dangerous. Sulphur Springs is run down but the neighborhood is transitioning and property values are skyrocketing. There’s some drug activity and prostitution but it’s only dangerous if you come here running ur mouth and doing too much. Ppl around here just do their own thing and mind their business.
All bad areas in Florida are having real estate appreciation thats not a good thing. Your expectations are very low and we all know what type of area this is
The actual spring was famous for its mineral water health benefits and now it is ruined by progresss. A group is trying to restore the historic water tower. A drive in theatre was there for years . AKA the "Tower" drive in. The old dog racing track is close by as is the Lowry Park Zoo. Back in the day Nebraska Ave was the main north - South route. (U.S. Hwy. 41 ). Real estate values are actually increasing due to the proximity to Downtown Tampa. Again the " community" type of ghetto behavior has led to the condition it is in now.
Many times I remember seeing that bank build on 275 on the back over the bay. Dog racing now banned in Florida and the Hard Rock Casino killed it in the Bay area.
You’re not very kind in your remark about wanting to run over the cyclist. You’re also quite judgmental in neighborhoods in which you have never lived. Please to back south to fort myers.
So you rode by my mothers home in this video😂😂 I can not say it’s the worst in Tampa. You guys should have went to Belmont heights or Robles Park. I’m a Tampa Native since ‘98 and these places are still scary even to me
This isn't even that bad compared to the neighborhoods a few blocks north of Ybor. Also I-4 off of exit 10 by Seffner has a lot of junkies and methheads to explore
Bruh...wth was this? a few dudes in front of a house and you call this hood? That's the problem with people, this ain't no hood. Go to Harlem, The BX, Brooklyn where every 10 feet you see a group of goones.
Tampa murder rate is a 18 per capita. NYC is a 5 per capita. Everyone is outside in NYC because it’s the biggest safe city. In Tampa it’s nothing but people moving around with guns and all type of stuff freely. Crime is tolerated in Tampa but in NYC you won’t even see the biggest thugs with guns.
🙄what are they doing 🤷🏾⁉️ You wanta go to the hood than get yo as on down in there deep 😂. Y'all missed the Cuban 🥪, BBQ, 🦀, corner stores. Hallarious 🤦🏾‼️🦇 cave
A documentary I was watching onetime wen I was locked up da narrator was like "Sulphur sprangs florida ranked the worst place to raise a child in America" da documentary was from da 90s following a troubled teen dey had to move jitt to Bradenton dn I wanna see dat documentary again
I was there growing up when they did that documentary I have the newspaper clippings where the news interviewed my dad it was the worst place to raise children in the country then it was bad I still love it though
Can you let someone who actually lives there dictate the bad areas. That area hasn't been bad since the 80s. You don't get bbq or Mexican in Tampa either. You get a goddamned Cuban Sandwich and a Devil Crab.
An old friend of mine and me lived in Semmes street for almost like 2 years from 2010-2012. We were the only two white dudes living on the street but it was an awesome time honestly. All my neighbors became like family. Some crazy shit for sure but I loved the time I had a hell of a time living there. My mom even came to visit and was dancing with everyone during a party on the block. Still talk to a few of them till this day. Thanks for the dope video. Definitely took me back.
"I think tampa might be getting worse than miami these days" thats easy to say when all youre driving through is the very worst parts that tampa has to offer. tampa's crime rate is way lower than miami's crime. tampa has the 14th lowest violent crime rate in major american cities. actually crime is below national average in tampa where in miami its way above the national average. don't believe me? look it up for yourself.
Keep up the great work, guys! You're helping to keep my neighbors' rents (and my property taxes) low while keeping me from winding up living in a gentrified hipster hell like Seminole Heights. 😆 And to everyone else, please, stay away. It's as bad as they say it is. I've been redrummed three times just since the beginning of the year. LMAO
I lived there in the 80s. Doesn't really look too much different, maybe a little more run down in places but everywhere looks like that after 15-20 years. The neighborhood is huge and you barely cut through. I believe your opinion is more click bait than facts.
@@DeluxeBrian Especially in the Old NE, Snell Isle, or Allendale West of 12th street and below 46th ave down to Haines Road. Allendale is high and dry, about 50 above sea level, near downtown and the bridges. Stick to the brick streets in Allendale, that is the best part with large lots, oak trees and big old houses from the Florida boom of the late 1920's Mediterranean Revival to 1960's "Florida" house.

That area probably starting going up before WW2 as a white working class area and probably thrived until the late 1960's. Unfortunately with systematic racism in this country, especially in southern states, these areas are cheated out of essential services and this is the result.
