  • A travel guide for visiting Nagano Japan. Highlights include: Getting to Nagano from Tokyo, Nagano Station, Zenkoji Temple, Cherry Blossoms, and the Snow Monkey Park. Nagano, now connected by a new Shinkansen line, is only a 90 minute trip from Tokyo Station. Although most people only know of Nagano as a former home to the winter Olympics, it is a great day trip from Tokyo, or over-night stay to visit the Nagano Snow Monkey Park.
While you are in Nagano, make sure to their some of their food specialties: Soba Noodles, Apples, and Miso Ice Cream. The third floor of JR Nagano Station has a great selection of local eateries.

    Hello from Japan!!
I live in Niigata, which is next to Nagano but I go to Nagano to play Icehockey often and I LOVE Nagano!!!
There are alot of cool places in Nagano!!
I love the walk to Zenkoji Temple and I love Nagano station to!!The station is very cool and fun!!There are alot of shops!!
AND there is a big news!!
Starbucks is going to make a Japanese style Starbucks at Zenkoji Temple!!!
It is like the one in Kyoto Japan!!!
And it is going to be made by wood so you can feel the Japanese style living at Starbucks!!
If you come to Japan, you shold try to go to Nagano!!!

Hi Chris! Thank you for your video. I'm going to Japan for the first time in April and I'm starting to plan my trip. I was wondering, could I do the Monkey Onsen AND see the Cherry Blossoms in 1 day without hiring a tour? I'm planning to stay the previous night there so I can start early in the morning, and I'm in a limited budget. I would appreciate your help!!! TIA :)

Hi Chris, Love your videos of japan, (we are a big fan ) me and my family would be going to tokyo this coming month and would like to ask some money saving tips, on top of what you have already mentioned on your other videos like accommodation, train or bus etc. would your recomment AirBnb? BTW my son enzo is your biggest fan and is always requesting to watched your tokyo disneyland video, that one was his favorite, hope you can do a shoutout on your next video.

+JeffreyRobert Mangahas Hi Jeffrey! I'm personally not a fan of AirBNB. I like hotels... if something breaks or something is wrong there is hotel staff to fix it... in an AirBNB it's not so easy. I also happen to like hotel breakfasts.. just makes starting the day that much easier. I'll give it a shout out to Enzo on one of my future videos.. won't be the next couple as those are already edited and in my upload queue. But soon :)
