The Merrimack school district enrolls slightly over 3,500 students and ranks relatively high for their athletic programs. The student to teacher ratio is quite low across the state, usually between 10-15 to 1. Overall it's a safe district that ranks well compared all of the other school districts in the state.
@Living in New Hampshire thank you so much for the prompt reply. I'm really excited about moving there. Does NH have a local website where I can find houses or apartments for rent that are pet friendly?
I will relocate to Southern New Hampshire next summer/fall. Coming from a city of over 400,000 I'm a bit apprehensive about small town living. I may be 71 but I'm not your average 71 year old. And, on retirement income I could never afford a $500,000 condo. So, what affordable and where?
@@steveparker2938 It's not centrally located, so it requires a relatively long drive to the larger cities. (Concord, Manchester, Nashua etc.) It's also more rural and doesn't have as much nightlife, major retailers or employers.

People don't seem to realize it but that whole area between Manchester, Nashua and Salem are growing into one big urban area.
Considering a move there during the summer o work for the school district. Any information related to that district?

@@rapatao133 No worries. You could try Apartments.com, Craigslist or FB Marketplace. I'm not aware of any rental websites strictly for NH.
@@LivinginNewHampshire Thank you for all the information

Hi Steve, the western half of the state tends to be more affordable. Even in Southern NH it's still possible to find older condos for under $350k.
@@LivinginNewHampshire Like around Keene and crawling up the border with Vermont?
@@steveparker2938 That's right, it might not be the most desirable area. But from a price standpoint, it's better than coastal or Southern NH.
@@LivinginNewHampshire "Not the most desirable" meaning ????
