You're welcome. May I take the opportunity to ask a question ? Well two in fact... When you connect the mg30 to an amp, how does the personality of the amp affects the sounds that comes out from its speaker? The nux cerberus has two differents outputs to go to the amp (to the send return and to the amp main input), the mg30 does not, is this any issue ? Jeff
@@J-35de63 well these are two different products. In the case of the mg30 you need to ensure that you make sure you set the output mode properly. You won’t need to do that with the Cerberus

The NUX MG 30 is great with nice sounds for gigging. Maybe in the future NUX will put out a unity that will also have a looper and drums that can be used at the gig not just for practice at home. A two track looper for verse and chorus. Drums with intros, fills and outros. Nice demo thanks.

I’ve used loopers before but I can’t get a gapless loop with MG30. I’ve been trying every which way off and on for a couple of days…no joy. Dig your vids. Excellent!
@@ThePedalGuy Now my buddy who is a pro guitarist and software engineer (for music gear) said he couldn't overcome the silence gap with the NUX MG30 and had to revert to Kemper Stage to use a looper live.
Thanks for your thorough effort. I had some trouble figuring out the function change with the first switch, start recording, stop or pause, timed. overdubbing so you can sync the drums. Another function I don't understand is: how to delete everything;How to delete overdubs, ; record from mono out on stereo directly to logic (audio) all the work. I have not used it as a sound card so far, I use my m-audio 14 ch which is complete. I hope you can understand and answer me.Regard Modesto 😊

@thepedalguy First of all thanks a lot for your efforts and vids, happy with my mg30 looper so far, the only downside is that i have to connect the pc every time i want to record via the usb cable to my phone, and tick the looper box, so i can have the drum machine along with the looper recorded together, and make sure to not switch off the pedal, otherwise I'll have to repeat the process over, wish Nux could fix that in a future firmware, hope you can let them know about that 🙏 that would make this pedal the best in the market

Zoom g14/4x is good as a stand-alone pedal…. I tried the zoom along with Nux mg30 using S/R… works ok. In fact it can augment as a double looping device you can stop drums or loops separately that way. The overlap of efx also is good on some combinations…. All said … I am planning to get a RC10R or trio+ as the looper device with Nux mg30. That should do a decent job for live performance if you are a solo band….

i wish one day Nux will develop the idea that when you turn off drum volume you can use it to play and stop the loop with tje knob dedicate to the drum originally. In this way, you have two knobs for the looper

@@miguelbarrera8052 I'm watch carerfully what will be updated in Valeton gp 200, they have schedued new software every 3 months. It still have some small flaws, but if they keep the pace they might make it a decent unit.
This was a great demo of the looper. I am impressed so far with NuX. The drums sound like butt though. If they beefed up the looper with longer recording times, the ability to store loops, and then improved the drums to sound more like the BeatBuddy this pedal would be unbeatable. Great tutorial though.
i bought this super machine ! but i dont know now and if we can use the pedal volume for distortion instead the volume . I mean associated the distortion to the pedal is it possible ? did you made video about it ? . Cool video of course it helped me a lot

Hi! Thank you for doing these fantastic videos. Is there a way to disable the looper function all together? I personally have no interest in using the looper. I just want to have three sounds and be able to switch between them. It has happened several times now that I by accident have pressed the two switches that takes me into the drum looper, and then also by accident, start looping or recording, ,and it takes forever to get out if you do not take the exact correct action. For me this is a deal breaker. If I cant find a way to disable the looping function it means that I cannot use this unit live at all. We play loud and fast music and things happen on stage, but this simply must not happen.

Hi Joe. I tend to prefer answering questions here on the vids as everyone deserves an answer. There are no blank presets here, so you will be basically write over the presets that are already on the MG-30. I would suggest backing it up first before proceeding.
Sir is there a way to end the loop quietly for example i've made 5 overdubs and i don't want to undo them I hit the footswitch two times it stops right but when i press hit and hold it, it briefly plays the loop again how do we end it quietly

Nevermind, i just found out the problem : i had to repress both buttons to enter the loop mode, and then it was written : CLR above, and then i could switch to auto record mode. Thanks !
I have a question. Is it right that the Nux Mg 300 sounds different than the mg 30 and the mg 400? I was mesmorized by the sound of the mg 300 and am confused if the mg 400 and mg 30 have the same sound.
I have a NUX MG-30 in the Mandarin version. Is there any way to convert it to the English version of its software/firmware? The latest Update, V4, is not compatible with the Mandarin version
To my knowledge, it's a single level of undo, so you can overdub as many times as you want. You just can't peel back the layers. But it's a phrase looper, so that's pretty standard.

My button didn’t work as shown either. Did a quick tap of the button (once it was showing manual mode) and that switched it to Auto. This was driving me nutz for a good 45 minutes!

Cool vid! If the mg30 is too expensive: Zoom G1four can do the exact same thing, except the loop undo/redo. Very cheap and sounds good too!

Just a note on the Zoom: the audio quality is waaaaaaaaaaaaay less than the Nux. When I've got 3 tracks going, the output is just a mess.

Thanks. You can teach the temp to the looper and the drum machine will follow, or you can start playing a beat and loop over it. Hope that helps.

No. Once you’ve recorded the loop you can’t change the tempo

Can you use a external Looper with the unit so I can record longer loops?
Of coruse. Just note that you will not be able to sync the external looper to anything tempo based in the MG-30, like the drum machine.
