I tried to split the air box but failed. I removed screws from the bottom. Do I need to remove the blower from the bottom before I can split it? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I’m right now in the middle of the job and just found this video that might give you some light: ua-cam.com/video/OrRHX3IVgTQ/v-deo.htmlsi=5hRaxbONaAii0zav Is in another language and another Lexus model but the hvac box seems to be pretty similar
Did you find any instructions online on how to get to the servo motors, particularly how to "split" the blower motor to give room to remove the servo motor?
its tricky, to 'split' the air box there is a screw at the Botton, and a snap that has to be released at the top... very tight quarters to work but possible. The servo itself has a screw a the back, to remove I had to use a right angle ratcheting bit holder and work blind.. tricky but it works
My 2016 has the same issue but the opposite where her passenger blows hot and driver blows cold. Would you think it’s the same part? Also how difficult is it to remove the panels to get to the actual part? Do I need a mechanic or am I good on my own? Thanks
Yes the same part controls both sides of the hot cold. Its not to difficult just take your time and pictures to see where everything goes back in, hvac assembly splits into 2 pieces and you need to remove the passenger side part to access the actuator, then to confirm remove the actuator and move the door by hand to see if you get cold air out of both sides,
Thank you, my Lexus has this type of problem too.

@@ricardomedina7155 Thank you so much for this link. It helps me to get my servo actuator replaced.

@@esmmotorsportsinc.5467 did you have a guide for accessing the location for the hvac part? Can’t find a repair guide on how to access this part
@@esmmotorsportsinc.5467 Same question. Do you know if there's a guide that you found online?
No guide just, looked at parts diagram seeing how it splits then just found what holds what and took it apart
@@esmmotorsportsinc.5467 do you have a link to those diagrams please? Thanks
Me too same problem 😢 cost me only working fee 500 ( +-10 ) $
