    Exactly what I am buying next week! I've done the research extensively and my choice is based on my new needs AND prior JD ownership for over 30 years! Capabilities and features can't be matched in my book!

    Is there an adjustment that can be made to make the rear latches on the deck connect easier? I have a 2022 1025R with the 54D Auto Connect and it's nearly impossible for me to get the rear hooks attached. I have to yank on the deck with all I got to pull it far enough back to get it to latch. It has never latched on its own when driving over it.

      @@WesternEquipment I have tried it in multiple surfaces. Grass, concrete, rubber mats, etc. I did lower the leveling eyebolt and it helped attaching the deck slightly, but I am still getting a loud creaking noise when raising and lowering the deck.

      Don't forget to reset your height of cut so you're not mowing very low and show how you set your wheels. Sorry to hear about the heat.

    I thought I wanted a Kubota with belly mower but JD has it right with the auto connect feature. The last thing I want to do is wrestle with installing deck if it can be done so easy on a Deere.

    Can the mower be used with a backhoe installed? I have a 2.5 acre back field I keep mowed with a x390 48" but I'd like to get a 60 inch deck for the 1025 if i could do so without having to remove the backhoe that I use regularly.

    • @WesternEquipment
      @WesternEquipment  2 роки тому +1

      Yes you can! You will have to specify when you order the deck that you will need either the hydraulic lift or the electric lift for the deck. The manual lift will not work here because it uses the rockshaft for the three point arms. I hope this helps and thanks for watching!

    I can never get my mower OFF the tractor. Putting it on is no problem. I have to pound on that silver flip lock thing under neath and pry with a 2 by 4 on each side at the same time to get the mower lose. It takes 3 people. I have adjusted those front nuts all the way out on that front hook up thing (what ever it is called). and the latch underneath is still a bear to unlatch. What is causing this? I am confident the rear lugs and the front ones are not causing the bind up. Its driving me nuts. The John Deere dealer installed this, by the way.

      Are you releasing your anti scalping wheels and setting your mower height on zero and setting the deck all the way on the ground on a flat surface?

  • @MsKala88

    • @WesternEquipment
      @WesternEquipment  2 роки тому +1

      This is true. Before you take off you should raise your mower deck up, choose your cutting height, and then you shouldn't have any problems moving between heights.

    How about when you want to set the height of the mower for when you're cutting the the yard how do you go about that

    • @WesternEquipment
      @WesternEquipment  5 років тому +1

      On this particular model you would use the cut of height knob that I show at the very beginning of the video. Once the deck is installed and raised all the way up, you can adjust that knob to your desired height and then set the deck back down. On this particular model we would use the 3-point lift to raise and lower the deck. There is also an option for hydraulic lift and lower that would run off of your loader joystick.
