@@aspydercalledlyfe Apologies for not responding sooner, Ive had some family issues thats put my brain on a different planet. Two wheels, yes indeed until 1995 = a long long time ago. I had a number of events happened in 93 & 94 which left me with spinal injuries, I had lost 5 friends & acquaintances over those two years & my eldest son was born so not wanting him to follow me in my two wheel foot steps (as I did my father) the only way I could see doing it was to cold turkey my two wheel addiction & from the moment my son's (all 4 of them) could understand I encouraged them into four wheels while threatening I'd never help them buy & insure a car if I ever found out they had been pilot or pillion on two wheels. I now have three complete petrol heads that when we all get together my driveway looks like the M Car Club has taken over. Now they all have their own lives & my disability is such that two wheels is a complete none runner & in all honesty if I waited any longer its highly likely that in less than two years I may not be able to cope with three wheels so after seeing/speaking to 'older guys' with spinal conditions more severe than mine I took that leap of faith & ordered the Black/Blue Frame. I now only have three weeks & the dealer now has it in the workshop installing a huge box of goodies from slingmods, I will do the bits from wrapmyspyder & canamaccessories. com as soon as she lands here. Yesterday & Today is learning as much as I can inc oil changes & hopefully how to start the thing. So, none of my children are aware I'm spending their inheritance & apart from the WTF are you doin Olds I'm guessing its going to prove interesting times when they find out. They have two choices & the answer will be a song from one of the greatest bands on the planet "Get Over It" Fingers crossed no one reads this that recognises our sir name. Awww, thank you @@kdub607! As for changes, nothing major yet, just windshield, floorboards, fog and headlights, undercarriage lighting and of course, my Monarch lady on the front. I’ll do a video one of these days. I also want music but I’m not a fan of the speakers that stick out, so for now, I ride with one airpod. 😂 How about you?
One huge con for me: all the piano black trim. Super hard to keep clean and super easy to damage and get marks in. My new 2023 F3-S with less than one mile already had marks just from cleaning! What was Can-am thinking?
Yes, very easy to damage indeed. I love the color though. We use microfiber cloth to clean her so she hasn’t been scratched from cleaning. But she does have a few scratches from my pug who likes to sit on my lap when I get on my ride. I need to get one of the liners that protect that area around and below the gas cap.
In the end that looked like the mountain motorsports in kodak, unless they all look the same. Been thinking about upgrading from the ryker rally. Thanks for the video.
I got it at Mountain Motorsports in Georgia. Where’s Kodak! I initially wanted the Ryker but in speaking to other owners and looking closely at both, I chose the Spyder and I am glad I did. I think I would have been looking to upgrade by now. You’re so welcome! Thanks for watching!
@@aspydercalledlyfe I do my own servicing. Feel safer, far less expensive, and go by the checklists in the manual. My wife brought her RT-Limited in for an oil change and that is all they did. After afew days we went visit a friend that was looking the bike over and noticed the rear tire looked like a drag slick! Had she gone on the ride we planned it could have been disastrous because we rode on roads that had been rained on. While the dealership DID what they were supposed to do, it would be a nice customer service for safety reasons, take a few moments, and just look things over. I ordered a car tire and replaced it myself along with the brake shoes that were worn pretty bad. Check with your dealership to see if they go the extra mile for customer care... My servicing includes putting my hands on as much as I can to check for fasteneer tightness, parts are not missing, fluid leaks, etc.

I pre-ordered a 2023 "Chartreuse" F3-S and am wondering how the color compared to hi-vis gear. Videos always look more yellow while the BRP website is definitely more green. Can you speak to that at all?

@@aspydercalledlyfe We have our Ryker for two years now and did upgrade the seat as the stock one is terrible. We want to go on longer rides and going to an F3 is the right thing to do. We are going to add a small windshield and a back rest for the passenger.
It doesn’t have speakers. According to the manual, “** Audio output available through accessories (compatible helmet, etc.)”. Thanks for your question.
apologies, I am in need of your help as silly as this sounds. Are the turn signal indicators still on the forward face of the rear view mirrors on a 2022/23 F3S ?
Not silly at all, I’m here to help where I can. 🙂If you look at the cover shot of my video, the turn signals are located right above my thumb. You’ll see two arrows; one pointing left and the other pointing to the right. To engage them, you just slide the switch left or right. To disengage, move it back to the center and press down.

@aspydercalledlyfe Personally I think both color schemes suck (the cheap black plastic or the mountain dew yellow) but the "green" is growing on me. Very deceptive of BRP to shade the green online totally different than the actual "oops too many B vitamins in my pee yellow". Also why the hell did BRP put led lights in the fenders but not use actual LEDs in the headlights. Another bad decision. However I really miss my 2015 F3S and want the digital dash so I'm looking for 2019 and newer and since there are some great deals on leftover 2022's I'm leaning towards the yellow one. Any thoughts ? Yes I will immediately upgrade to led headlights since BRP is too cheap to install at the factory.
I believe it’s fast enough for on-road riding but if you’re planning to get on a speedway, probably not the right vehicle. 😂 As for top speed, I’m not sure but you can probably do a quick online search to find that info.

The Ryker must have a 3rd party exhaust on it to be louder than the F3.

I found very cheap LED fog lights on Amazon. Plug and play and works great. Maybe check there.
How much rpm can you do before it can damage the engine?
It may be best for you to contact BRP for that answer.
Is it fast? Top speed?
I believe it’s fast enough for on-road riding but if you’re planning to get on a speedway, probably not the right vehicle. 😂 As for top speed, I’m not sure but you can probably do a quick online search to find that info.
