I was just so lucky to see her just the other night in NJ! Another amazing show from Alanis! She does not need a bunch of dancers or any fanfare! She IS the show!! She is so talented and REAL! i could not admire her more!
Awsome to see someone jam to song's that i still do to this day and i still have the same reaction everytime i cant stop listening to her just that wow she has
Alanis has certainly come a long way from her humble beginnings as a cast member of the show "You Can't Do That On Television" on both Ontario local TV and Nickelodeon.
What I like about your guys' channel is that I get to see you guys discover the songs of my childhood. When I was a young teenager in the mid-90s, we used to listen to the alternative radio station all the time. Alanis Morisette was definitely a regular. Another great female vocal of that time, at least I think so, was Shirley Manson from the group Garbage (#1 Crush, I Think I'm Paranoid, Stupid Girl, etc.).
Such a cute song with great lyrics. She is a musical treasure❗ Loved how you both zeroed in on her vocal style. This album won the GRAMMY that year. Bravo. A Masterpiece. Loved how Brad smiled through the whole song swaying to the beat. 🎵🎵🎵
How can you not thoroughly enjoy every second of Brad's honest infatuation with Alanis? I mean, there were plenty of conversations between myself and many of my metal head friends about her when she came on the scene. She has one of those mostly universal appeals regarding both her talent and comeliness.
Love Her Voice Alanis Morisette Lacey Sturm & Amy Lee’s Voices are my All Time Favorite Female Vocalists. All 3 Voices are Uniquely Unique. PS to my Guilty Pleasure Karen Carpenter
Check out Cristina Scabbia of Italy's gothic metal band "Lacuna Coil". Check out "Our Truth" to start. Kind of like Italy's Amy Lee. Stuff from their earlier albums &EPs (1998-2006) are my favs by far. SO many good songs. And the music video from their "Swamped" song is great, especially when she smears her lipstick. Cristina's voice is ETHERIAL! (& also their original band name).
This song always reminds me of working at BK back in the 90s. I used to sarcastically sing a parody of this while bagging frys. I've got one hand on your french fries the other one is scratching my ass.
It's been a long ass day. I've watched now like 4hrs of reactions. I've smiled here and there... been amused. But Brad's "fake Alanis" song explanation at the end of this... that got my to physically laugh out loud :D I love Brad's love for Alanis (and Delores)... cause I feel the same way lol.
As a kid she was on You Can't Do That on Television, that show was SO FUNNY. Like they had a skit they would normally do where a kid is tied up to a pole, and a military officer is saying "Ready! Aim!" and the kid says "wait, wait, stop the execution!" and unties themselves while trying to trick the officer into saying "Fire!" but they duck, so the officer is the one who gets shot lmao. But they also have this thing where they dump slime on you if you say "I don't know". So Alanis was in this skit where this kid Alastair was asking other kids what he should name his band. One kid says "let me think..." and Alastair says, "that's too intellectual. Alanis, what do you think?" And Alanis says, "oh, I don't know...." and then green slime drops on her. And she says "Alastair! You did that on purpose! I hate you now!" lmao. It's here on youtube. She was on many episodes. I used to watch that show all the time as a kid, funny as hell. 🙂
If you want to know what Alanis was like before her music career check out the sketch comedy show for kids from the 80's You Cant Do That on Television, she was an actress on the show and that is where Nickelodeans Green Slime came from. Yall should check out Natalie Merchant, the song Wonder or Carnival. Before her solo career she was part of the band 10,000 Maniacs.
An amazing singer/person. To answer Lex's question "is she even human?", well... you might have an answer to that by watching the movie "Dogma" 😉 Should go for "All I Really Want"... you might get cramps by keepin' on smiling. And talking about smile, Brad... Brad! Your smile reminds me that even actuaries can be funny 😄 Keep up the good work guys, you are truly amazing!!
"Dogma"! One of my favorite movies of all time. Yes, Alanis is a goddess. I don't even care much for Jay & Silent Bob movies, but "Dogma" has such great lines and very important messages, especially for today: " People kill for a belief! People die for a belief! [Instead,] why can't people just say 'I have an IDEA'?" There'd certainly be less wars.
This album was sooo huge. I'd never seen her before hearing her album, and for some reason I pictured her with short hair :) LOL. Perceptions, eh? Also... she played a pretty good role in one season of the show Weeds.
1:47 I KNOW!! ITS AMAZING!! Her voice - Its just so pretty and takes me back to the 90's when I was kid. I cant describe it. Whenever I listen to her it gives me the chillest 90's carefree vibes. I miss growing up as a kid in the 90's. Chills!!! Just something about the way she throws her voice is so beautiful. She has that 90's swag that can never fade. TIMELESS BEAUTY. Ok enough of me having a crush on her as a 34y/o dude XD.

But seriously, "All I Really Want".
I was just so lucky to see her just the other night in NJ! Another amazing show from Alanis! She does not need a bunch of dancers or any fanfare! She IS the show!! She is so talented and REAL! i could not admire her more!
Lex does well to contain a jealousy overload at Brad's reaction : D
Glad you finally went back to watching the music videos!
Jagged Little Pill and Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie are both amazing albums by her. The soundtrack for my late teens and early 20s, respectively
How can you not thoroughly enjoy every second of Brad's honest infatuation with Alanis?
I mean, there were plenty of conversations between myself and many of my metal head friends about her when she came on the scene. She has one of those mostly universal appeals regarding both her talent and comeliness.
Love Her Voice
Alanis Morisette Lacey Sturm & Amy Lee’s Voices are my All Time Favorite Female Vocalists.
You NEED to listen to “Your House”, “Mary Jane”, “Perfect”, “Right Through You”, basically all of the non radio played tracks from that album.
This was constantly playing, a great album
I hate you now!"
lmao. It's here on youtube.
She was on many episodes. I used to watch that show all the time as a kid, funny as hell. 🙂
Alanis is awesome. She was a judge on the show Alter Ego. "Thank You" and "Uninvited" are bangers from her; please check them out sometime.
To answer Lex's question "is she even human?", well... you might have an answer to that by watching the movie "Dogma" 😉
Should go for "All I Really Want"... you might get cramps by keepin' on smiling.
Can’t wait to see Brad watch Thank You
This album was sooo huge. I'd never seen her before hearing her album, and for some reason I pictured her with short hair :) LOL. Perceptions, eh?
Also... she played a pretty good role in one season of the show Weeds.
Don't forget "You Can't Do That On Television" 📺
@@wcgcapone Oh yeah! Whoa!
Alanis is the only artist I know of that released a parody song without changing the lyrics.... and it's amazing ! Check out her cover of "My Humps' 😂
If you like that, check out Jonathan Coulton, his version of 'Baby Got Back' is simply amazing to listen to.
You guys NEED to watch her live concert version of Uninvited - which is MY personal favourite. It's hauntingly beautiful and a MUST watch.
You absolutely need to go back and listen to her version of this on the Howard Stern show
That's why Alanis is a Legend. Her voice and style is Unique.
Guardian Is my favorite song of hers. She has the 20th best selling album of all time.
Alanis kind of has a yodel to her voice when she sings in parts. I love it!
Lex is jealous, because Brad is obviously struck by her. 😂😂😂
Nah. Everyone has celebrity type “crushes.” Plus this is Alanis in the mid 90’s. Now if Brad invents a time machine? Probably ok to panic a little then 😂
He’s uninvited…..
@@Kaddywompous :D
Lexxie looks so jealous!!!
Lex ain't got nothin to be jealous about
I think you’re getting the songs in, basically, their order on the album, ‘Jagged Little Pill,’ which also got better and better as the album progressed.
You should definitely check out "Thank You" - it's a powerfully humble and uplifting song, and it sounds amazing!
Brad deff has a type when it comes to his female singers. Alanis and Bejok.
