I think that that 'person' could litteraly be AI. Just some bot autoposting through an algorithm. (Look at the bs generic posts 12:00) Global governments are known to have acces to this kind of technology. It's likely they use it to just slightly decrease the internal stability of a particular (enemy) system or group of people.

chick and fly sounds like a pain to get but the sloth...
Chick -> Level a Rooster to level 2, pill it and combine
Zombie Fly -> Get a Fly to level 3, pill another unit on your team.
Zombie Fly was hard to get the ribbon for because it is a t6 so time is limited.

Hey NL, this is a bit off topic but if you ever wanna revisit Landlord's Super for a dose of jank - there's been a lot of updates: Lout, Painting and Decorating, Furniture and recently the Freebuild Update and the game's development is going good. That being said - the next update should be the 1.0 version marking the full release so it might be worth holding off until then. I wouldn't mind seeing some more Mon Bazou on the channel but whether you wanna play it or not is your choice. I'm glad between all the different games you play I can almost always find something that's interesting to me. Keep it up - love ya NL.

I've been watching NL play Super Auto Pets for months without understanding the game and at this point I'm too afraid to ask
If you don't understand what's going on, that sounds way funnier than getting it
Every animal has an attack number and a health number. Attack does damage to health. When health drops to 0, the animal faints. You don't get to play during the fight; it happens automatically based on the stats the animals have.
Every turn starts with the shop screen, where you buy and sell animals to make your team. If you have two animals of the same species, or if you buy an animal of a species that you already have, you an merge the two into one. This gives the one +1 health and +1 attack.
Every animal starts off at level 1 with 0 XP, needs 2 XP to get to level 2, and another 3 XP to get to lever 3. When merging animals, the combined animal has the sum of the XP of the two original animals plus one.
Each animal has one effect that has some condition and some result. Eg Turtle's effect is that when it faints it gives the animal behind it Melon Armor. If the condition is triggered in battle, the result is temporary and goes away when you enter the next turn's shop screen. If the condition is triggered in the shop screen, the result is permanent. Because many animals have effects that depend on their position, the complexity of the game comes from building a team where the effects and positions work with each other.
Animals can also get an item. Eg Melon Armor protects the animal once from up to 20 damage.

Enjoying the content, been grinding away at this game for a while. For the longest time I just didn't get it and juts clicked my mouse around. Now I got my first win after 96 games and I have to thank you for being the best second monitor content there is for playing SAP. Finaly I became a meta slave instead of becoming good. Cheers

7:31 you can also combine the two swams from the shop with the lv 1 swan, then combine both of the level 2 swan's to get two upgrades, similarly with a fish in that scenaorio you can get an extra 1/1 if you make two level 2 fish, then combine to a level 3

do you have any tips for Super auto pets? been tryna get into it and i always seem to lose no matter what
Best tip is to really have units that have abilities that play off each other. For example, having units like a seal or worm with a rabbit. The rabbit gives extra health per food used, and a worm gets additional buffs with food, or a seal gives buffs to other units with food. Or if you have a buy/sell team, which is one of my favorites. If you do a buy/sell with a team with a buffalo and/or dog. Beavers and owls are good for the buy/sell, because they buff units when you sell them. A good strategy is to also have positions to have a "flex" unit, meaning that it can be sold at any time. So, you might have a squad with a buffalo, dog, and skunk, and then two spots for buy/sell or maybe a scorpion, deer, mammoth, turtle, etc. Scorpion, deer, mammoth, turtle, flamingo, and ant aren't really units used for battling, but typically they're either used for some odd meta builds or for a temporary buff during battle in order to get rid of an opponent's melon armor or something like that. I'm not good at summon builds, but if you plan a good sniper build, then you can counter those, and a lot of people use summon builds.

I watch all of Ludwigs main videos but I just watched him play sap today and I was disgusted by the amount of Turkey fly builds I saw in one video
And he sold one of his best stat units twice for a penguin when he had 1 level 2
id fix ox by changing it to: it gets melon armor or 4 attack so its on average the same but less reliable

42:04 This right here might be the single most upsetting turn in Super Auto Pets history. Putting something in the bacta tank only to combine it and turn all that investment into an apple, AND combining fish with less than a full squad. He functionally paid 9 gold for a salad, turned his bad bacta target into +1/+1, then ended the turn with a 3-squad.
