Koi was flashing there, I recommend treatment for flukes. Brilliant upgrade on the pond, looks so much better and the koi will be far more happier in it. 👍
It’s around 1,200 gallons / 5,400 ltrs But you could easily make it bigger by digging down 3 ft . To work out the gallonage Length in feet x width in feet x depth in feet x6.25 will give you gallons 👍🏽 x that by 4.5 and it will give you ltrs 👍🏽
@@koiservices6694 I am afraid that pond will 100% bow over time. Sleepers are fine if used flat and drilled with rods all the way through, but even then you can't go too deep as the water pressure is too much. This is a very common mistake unfortunately
@@NTkoi all the sleepers are bolted together and have reinforced plates . I’ve been there today to check the koi and there is ZERO bowing and it’s been built almost a year . If you would like the structural calculations I’m happy to advise
@@aravindeswar4089 it’s 3m x 2.4m and 3 sleepers high . I finished the top with scaffold boards . The sleepers are bolted every 30cm and reinforced with steel plates
Simple and lovely job 👏👏👏🎏🎏
Thank you

Hi.im buolding similar to ur pond at the moment.have u had trouble with the pond bowing and any problems with the drain as its not concreted in?
No problems at all
The drain is buried and the sleepers are reinforced with steel brackets
Did you just screw the sleepers together mate?
Hey buddy , yes we use special 300mm screws , also we use corner brackets on each level on the inside and steel plates to reinforce everything
