Yes. I totally agree with this comment. My husband cheated on me & while l was thirsty for his love & devotion. I also worked extremely hard so we can aim for a better future. I realised he's started to change his behaviour towards me by keeping a distance, spending more time away from home and also working long hours. My instincts told me that he was cheating. My world fall apart. He even didn't bother to contact me the break up. My health started to worsen. Despite, l missed him terribly & thought during the day & night with tears rolling down my eyes, lack of sleep We shared happier times together. Then l woke up one morning & realised why l'm suffering because of my husband and deserve a better life! Also, he's not worth being my husband as l'll never trust him again. So, l'm now filing for divorce & building a new life. I believe in karma. l'm sure he won't be staying with his girlfriend long term and eventually leave her. Then he'll connect me again but it's too late. Trust is like a glass and once it's broken then difficult to fix.
I have this wonderful friend who's scared of marriage just because her dad left her mother for a girl who happened to be his colleague or something after 24 years of their marriage.. the irony is that girl is around our age.. The question is ''why do married people do such big stupidity in life?" Why don't they think twice before committing such mistake? Why don't they think about their kids? That thing has left such a disastrous impression on my friend that she's doesn't even want to talk about man and marriage.
I feel bad for your friend to let her father's selfish actions take hostage of her life. Every married man isn't like that. I know some couples who got married during WWII, the Koran War, the Vietnam War, and more recently Dessert Storm, and also during peacetime. This is just to give an idea that marriage is still sacred to lots of men and women. She needs to pray real hard for the strength to let it go and move on. What her father did was not a mistake, it was a deliberate selfish decision he made not caring about anyone else, but himself. In an old old Book that I read everyday It says, "Everyone will reap just what they sow", and that includes her father.

Although I'm not justifying the issue of cheating but in this particular situation, why is the other woman bad? I have a problem when 2 women are always pitted against each other by others, by men by society and even by other women. Why always compare the 2? Plus the girl was right in saying that marriage is a big thing already and she doesn't want to be a mother all of a sudden. Yet, she becomes a villian? And had she agreed to let the child in too, she would have been the best girlfriend/wife ever??

(They can even say that the children can stay with the mother but the father has to pay the school fees.. or something else, they even decide if it is safe for the children to visit the other parent or do the children prefer staying with a particular parent and why...etc.) Nice to know how it works in Africa. My mom is a narcissist. I have been verbally abused by her for 36 years. I have 2 kids. She is trying to turn them too against me. She has created dramas in my day by day life. It’s always about her. Guess what I was a professor with master degrees. I live abroad peacefully with my husband and kids. But my moms phone call is enough to spoil my day. Can’t explain this to anyone. It’s easy for people to judge me as she is the MOTHER and I’m just her daughter.
