- Keanu Reeves is speaking out about Lance Reddick’s death. After news broke about his “John Wick” co-star’s tragic passing on Friday, the “Matrix” alum released a joint statement with “John Wick: Chapter 4” director Chad Stahelski that was obtained by Variety. In the joint statement, the duo said they will dedicate the fourth movie in the franchise to Lacne. Lance passed away “suddenly” Friday morning, per his rep.

He was always a tough guy on screen but he just seemed like a really nice guy in real life. He seemed to always be so fit and looked so good. Really sad to pass at such a younger age of 60. RIP sir.

This one hurt. Lance was immensely talented and gave his all to every role I’ve seen/heard him in. Loved the scene in John wick 3 where he was defending the hotel against the heavily armored table grunts. So sad to see him go and he will be missed. Rest in peace Lance, thank you for everything.

I loved how Lance made Charon's character...so dignified, and in control, but also caring, in that he offered to care for Wick's dog, even knowing there was a possibility that Wick might be killed. Then too, how he and Wick with the same attitude came storming back into the vault to get guns with more 'punch' -- he did such a wonderful job giving that rather quiet character so much personality.
What a lovely man, and a wonderful actor...I was so sad when I heard he passed away. My condolences to his family and his friends.
