All dishes and silverware are in the dishwasher. They now because of covid they run all the kitchenware in dishwasher everyday. I have a timeshare with The Hilton. Usually stay at the Hilton grand vacation club at Sahara and the strip. The most Time you can stay at one time is a month. You can't live there
We always get the 1 bdrm suite that has a hot tub and giant projector that you can watch movies on. It's cool. Easy parking and plenty of stuff close by.
The Motel 6 on Dean Martin Dr has a VCR in every room. They also offer free rentals but their list of movies are limited. If you call in advance you can reserve the Back to the Future trilogy, Showgirls and every Adam Sandler movie. 😂🤣 😂
The flamingo room was awesome👍😻. The Hilton looks nice, kind of business long stay style. I don’t get that selfie store. I could craft my own room or backdrop🙉🙈. Great job, keep up the wonderful videos. You are the number 1 room critic in Vegas.👍👍🐰🐰
I am a owner at that location. Back in ‘08 it was called the Westgate @Planet Hollywood Towers, because they where going to build a second one. Some time later they lost some funding amongst other things. The Hilton Grand Vacations now manages the property.
Pompsie you are so real and so humble and so likable it’s great! I wish you well on your endeavors. You and Stephen are both great people. I’ve lived here 18 years but only stayed at the upper echelon hotels. I used to know a lot of casino executives but since COVID life has changed everything!

Great job pomps, multi tasking I like it . Funny I’ve been busy and thinking I was missing a few of your vids . Not so much because you’ve been busy as well. I like the peace out at the end . Stay fresh brother.
Honestly really like elara as a whole, quiet, not too busy, right next to the mall, great tubs in the 1 bedrooms, small resort fee in comparison and also a smaller incidental than most as well. Great strip location.
I didn’t care for that place very much so that’s why I love your videos it gives you a true perspective of what the rooms look like and what you can expect from the property
I do too! While the livestreams are nice, the hotel reviews are what I enjoy most. Your film making and music editing skills really shine when you do these!
Another quality vlog. I didn't realize there are so many hotel only places to stay in Vegas. Too bad the pool was closed, the night shots of the pool looked really good. I wish you would give the price you paid, and if there were resort fees considering the only amenity open was the gym. Keep up the good work.
Of all the Las Vegas vloggers, your content and editing is by far the best, Pompsie! Really looking forward to your review of the M and technically it is on the strip. Sort of.
My family and I were there all last week when you were! We are “owners” at HGV. A few notes... yes Hilton Grand Vacation is a timeshare property, they have a few in Vegas, a few in Orlando near the theme parks and Hawaii and then scattered across the United States as well as some international locations. The pool and Starbucks are both open now but Starbucks closes at noon every day and the pool was, until Thursday last week, only open on weekends. The pool area has limited capacity to 200 total people and you have to wear a mask unless in the water and no outside food or drinks besides water. There is a bar in the pool area and they sold some prepackaged meals. Cabanas are priced at $100-200, depending on size and location, for the full day from 10am-5pm and you still have to wear a mask even when inside your cabana. Cabana rental opens at 8am every morning and sold out quickly every day we were there.
Just finished a 4 nights 5 days stay this past Easter weekend @Elara 1 bedroom king bed suite. For me it was a 5/5 stars. Quiet, no smoking smells at all actually smells amazing everywhere in the hotel, friendly staff, elegant architecture, convenient entry and exit points, adjacent to miracle miles mall and planet Hollywood $18/24hr fee garage or free parking at their spot, security card scan at elevator entry points, gorgeous rooms n views, clean overall hotel. Couple of not so great things, no 24 hrs room service but like P said there’s Chick-fil-A Taco Bell subway McDonald’s 24 hrs downstairs outside the entrance and one bedroom suites kind of smallish but still awesome experience!
THIS!! THIS IS what I was looking for "no smoking smell", I was participating in the Pokerstars event in Cambodia and it killed me the amount of smoke smell everywhere at the Nagaworld!.. Im going this summer to vegas and I just want to avoid this smoke smell as much as I can! during off hours from game time.. Thanks for that little nugget of a reply!

I’m looking forward to the M post. Having lived in Vegas for over 40 years, I have never been to the M. Although, I moved away last November. Thanks Pompsie for keeping me updated on one of the greatest cities in the world.
Imagine all of Vegas without wifi signal... and those rich privileged people enjoying dvds on that exclusive hotel with DVD players and rentals 😁 It might happen
I started feeling really old when Pompsie kept referring to DVDs as nostalgic. I still have my DVD player hooked up to my TV with my collection of DVDs nearby.
❤️😎❤️ love your channel!! Frequently suggest your recommendations to my customers. As a travel agent, I really value your experience & opinion!😎 I will definitely stay here myself. Love the review of the Hilton
I love rooms with kitchenettes! You can always eat out, but sometimes it's nice to cook/prep in room or just refrigerate local cuisine/desserts, especially in Hawaii with a Foodland nearby(Eataly in Vegas)!
I still get NETFLIX DVD's today because 1) MY HP PC has a built-in DVD player and 2) DVD's have cool extras that you can't get when you stream like interviews and trailers and sometimes deleted footage and more 3) LOL may be nostalgic for you but it's still current for me and 4) I still have a number of BOX SETS that I still like to play from time to time :) Anyway another excellent video Christopher!
My wife and I have stayed there twice and most likely will go back for a third time. Rooms are a decent size and clean, beds are comfy and the mini kitchen is an added bonus. Love that it's hooked up to Miracle Mile and close to Planet Hollywood and the walk to the strip isn't that bad! But unfortunately, our trip back to Vegas will have to wait until next year......groan.
I really enjoy your hotel reviews and Vegas updates. Any chance your ever going to a review of Tropicana? It is one of the oldest casinos left on the strip. Hope you have a great day!
We just checked in today at Elara on the high floors, your room still have the old decor. 3rd floor is the reception area for time share sales which take you up to high floors. Pool is now open
We own a timeshare with Hilton and always stay at Elara. We love that it’s non-casino and have been waiting for you to check it out. This video didn’t seem as exciting as the other hotel vids. I guess there wasn’t much to it. If you can, try to get a King suite or higher. I think you’ll enjoy those rooms more (jacuzzi, washer/dryer, projector TV, higher view, etc).
Elara is my fave place to stay while in Vegas it is close to everything. I think the reason they have dvd’s at Hilton because it is a family friendly hotel - kids can watch dvd’s in their room at night to kept them occcupied
Nice property, my wife and I stayed there last month for a week in the one bedroom suite; you gotta review it next time as it’s much larger and even has a projector screen and a washer/dryer!
I’ve been watching your adventures! Coming out of COVID & having my shots I’m now staying at different places Aria, Tropicana, MGM vacations but my all time favorite that I stay all the time is Hilton Lake Las Vegas (I only live 15 mins)🍀🥳 Thanks for the info!
You're right, Elara and Vdara are are very similar experiences. That location next to the mall and the Strip is great, but as for Elara's rooms I liked the rooms better when it still had the Planet Hollywood decor, with the red leather and the posters of the stars. As for the late checkout, I asked the front desk about that 10 AM checkout and he told me they will give a noon checkout to anyone, limited by availability of course.
hey Pompise, the 1BR Suites are coming with washer and dryer and are HUGE (and actually not much more expensive if you get a good deal) - love tghe elara ! Once you found the quickest ways arround the mall, you are in and out faster then most other strip properties ! (if you make a LEFT at the Brazilian steakhouse you are right on Harmen and can walk outside)
We made the same mistake of walking thru the mall with our bags to get to the hotel. There is an entrance directly to the hotel from the parking structure, I think it's on level 2 and takes you into the lobby area around the corner from those elevators. Also, down the escalator to the valet/uber pickup below street level. That was the timeshare sales center, avoid if possible. We've stayed twice and enjoy the location - center strip, access to the mall, restaurants and Planet Hollywood and can exit to the strip thru the mall.
World of difference between the Dirty Bird (the Flamingo) & Hilton Grand Vacations/Elara, as he mentioned. As soon as you reach the ground floor from your Flamingo room & the elevator doors open, the place is a packed, boisterous zoo. For some people, that's great! More power to ya (I was young once too...) but if you want to stay in a quiet, refined room at a quiet, refined property with good security, the Elara is a great choice. For when you want activity, you've got the Miracle Mile Mall & Planet Hollywood right there, and basically 'ground-zero' of the Las Vegas Strip just out the Las Vegas Blvd doors of the Mall. Downsides of Hilton Grand Vacations/Elara: if you end up getting a North-facing room below about the 10th floor, you're just going to have a close-up view of the Miracle Mile Mall parking structure. At-least as-of 2 years ago, their wifi kind of sucked, and PCS cellular data was horrible too. Their parking structure is shared with the Mall & Planet Hollywood, and since it's free parking, a lot locals use it too. It's pretty grimy, and especially on nights & weekends, the structure is very close to being full -- assuming you eventually find a parking spot, you may be lugging your bags, case of beer, etc. up/down several flights of greasy stairs, etc. going between your parking spot & the entrance to the Elara. If you've got the $$$, valet park!
Stayed in a one bedroom suite there April 1-3 & the room was awesome! Well worth the extra $. Only negative was the pool was so crowded there were never any chairs available!
Dude we were literally in our suite here last week. Suites come with jacuzzi and projector instead of TV. Also washer and dryer. Dishes are in the dishwasher. :)
I stayed there this past week, we are owners. You were in a small room for sure. Nice place, except for the pool and Starbucks being closed. (Ps the clean dishes were all in the dishwasher😁)
Yeah, I think the check out time at the other Hilton was 10am as well, because that's when I commented hell to the no! That's too freaking early to check out. I'm glad that they gave you a noon late check out. The kitchen so near the bedroom area exceeds basis efficiency apartments. lol Aside from those two issues it looks like a cool property. Pomps, you make DVD sound as nostalgic as VHS tapes. Cut DVDs some slack! You can still buy them at Target, Walmart, music stores and etc. They're not antiquated ya know. Peace!
