Fantastic Todd your miles a head of the game. Played for 24 years listening to professionals teach and they can’t bust eggs 🥚 after years of frustration I’ve changed my swing to the Moe Man style and break 80 consistently humming and singing.. Thankyou so much mate. My mates always say you strike it pure who’s your coach I say his in golf heaven watching over.. cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
Todd, I've been watching your fascination of the perfection behind Moe Norman's swing but there is something that strikes me more than your obsession with how Moe struck the ball. It's the friendship you formed with him, the humanity represented by your true appreciation for his uniqueness, and the fact that both you and Moe got to the "heart" of the matter: Be yourself, do it your way, never stop learning and trying to grow -- and never be afraid to be different. There was so much love and humanity in your stories about Moe and how you took the time to track him down, spend time with him, learn from him. In the end, you learned something far beyond golf. Thank you so much. The folks on this thread came to watch these videos out of that "never ending quest for the perfect repeatable golf swing" and so did I -- but by clicking on different links featuring you and Moe, I took a journey far beyond the game of golf and -- not trying to be wierd or sell anything here -- but I'm really grateful I did. All the best to you sir and thanks for the journey!
Moe is completely facing the ball when he hits it. No twisting before he hits the ball. I tried this at the golf course. It works. And like Moe says, you don't have to hit it hard.
This is the furthest away I've seen Moe place the ball, is this normal for his swing Todd? I've been practicing my woods with the ball inline with the heel of my leading foot.
I just asked the same question. Tee ball appears to be in front of his left foot entirely. No wonder he could pick the ball off a glass coke bottle without hitting the glass. Amazing
In the first part of this video the club is pointing to the middle of his back. In the second part of the video you say that the club is pointing towards his left hip. These are two very different places.
All about viewing angles and perspective. In the down-the-line view you see it pointing through the middle of the back. In the face-on view, you see the club pointing to the “pivot point” just above the lead hip. Also, down-the-line you see the club and trail arm aligned. In the face-on view, you see the club and lead arm alignment
Moe said he wasn’t concerned about the ball, it just got in the way of his motion. At address, the club face is directly beneath his nose (because of side bend and pre-setting his takeaway) and his head moves slightly down and back at impact like all good ball-strikers. He always said just “hit your positions,” so his focus was more body awareness rather than ball awareness. As long as you set up to the ball correctly, matching Moe’s swing mechanics takes care of striking the ball solidly with minimal variables
It's true. Keeps you square. I aim at about three inches behind the ball. Promotes a smooth swing and for unknown reasons, your swing is straighter. I tried it on the golf course.

With that ball so forward in the stance ,al I have ever achieved was hooks! At the ball positions the club face is closing.
I missed where the hand and wrist position is at impact.

@@GravesGolf Thanks for the quick reply!
Is it just the angle or is Moe playing that driver ball off of his left toe and not Left heal?
U thought same thing they stopped at Impact position but he's still a foot a qat from hitting it
Seems like the key to the whole move
It seems that he is actually looking at the spot where his club was versus looking at the ball ......is this true?
