    I’m pretty sure you could replace the quarter panels yourself. Joe Daddy’s has good body panel videos.

    I like those wheels centers. I do not have any on my 'Daisy' wheels. What are they???
    My original 289 was found to have a block crack during 2019 rebuild. Again, like you, a ATK '302' was ordered and is fantastic. More than enough for a old man getting into trouble!
    I too installed a radio block off plate. Mine holds toggle swathes for AUX lights.
    On seats!!! BEWARE....I went through a number of aftermarket racing seats. ALL sat me up to high (I am 6'1") and it took months find find some that were thin enough in the seat base to work. Not great on long drives but I am never in the seat more than an hour.
    Thanks!!

      I designed those wheel caps and I sell them on my website - KruseBuilt.com
      I thought about putting switches or gauges in the radio block plate, I still need to make up my mind on that topic.
      Your comment about seats is exactly a fear of mine. I don't really have the money to do it more than once, that's why it's taking so long to make my decision. I designed a set of seat rails to give me extra leg room without compromising the seat height, they're on my site too. I also installed the lower seat pans from the later Mustangs, to give me an extra inch of height. I plan to install the Mustangs-to-Fear head liner to give me more clearance if I need it. Care to share which seats you experimented with, and what your final choice was?

      @@AndyKruseChannel Caps look nice, decent price. Need to see if they will fit.
      SEATS: When I bought my Mustang in 1975 it had 71 Mustang high backs. By 2019 they were shot, frames broken. I bought a set of 2nd hand seats from a guy. Looked great and comfortable. Had custom gray and black upholstery done. Installed I could not get in. Went to internet and asked many many sellers what the seat rails to seat bottom measured. Few replied. Found a seller on Amazon selling no name, seemed perfect as base was VERY thin. Ordered, installed, work perfect.....but like I said not long haul seats.......but no brand name....sorry

    I don't agree with a vacuum secondary on a manual transmission car as best performance. I heard you say you are relying on a consultant. Understood. But one of well known and understood significant benefits of a manual transmission is generally the fact that you CAN run a mechanical secondary carb that opens the secondary circuits when your foot puts the pedal down- literally there is no waiting for the vacuum to kick in. So I think you should try a Holley Double Pumper mechanical secondary as a science experiment. But I like your videos no matter what you do. Good work Andy!

      A Yukon Tracktion-Lok diff (part number YDGF8-28-AG) and a Motive Gear 3.55:1 gearset (part number F880355). For the Mufflers they are Flowmaster 40 Series (part number 42541). I have videos on both of those parts and their install. :)

    hey I like all of your content I would like to make a suggestion when you put in your tilt steering column for a little more I found a set of seat track extensions it gives you about 2 more inches of leg room it worked for me because in 6'2" it worked for me in my 66 coup I hope it works for you
    thanks keep the videos coming

      Thanks for the heads up. I sell seat rail extensions on my website. They provide 2.5" of extra legroom while minimizing the added height of the rails to the seats. They have been a popular item. :)

    I was wondering about the posi traction you put in some time back. Sorry if I missed it in your review. I only saw the first drive test where you thought it was a bit loud. I've heard that complaint from others. Any update on that?

    • @AndyKruseChannel
      @AndyKruseChannel  11 місяців тому

      I don't recall in the Traction-Lok in this particular car was loud, but I put similar parts in my previous Mustang and I recall it being louder than this round. I put better components in this round than I did last time, so that might be part of it. It also could be that the Diff Shop did a better job during the install of the ring and pinion than they did last time, making it quieter?
      For the update, I'm very happy with the function of these parts, but I'm not 100% on the gear ratio. Part of the issue is I have the crappy gears in my T5 (short first gear, etc) and so it doesn't match as well with the 3.55:1 as I would like. If I were to fix the gear ratio in the T5, the 3.55 would be better. However, I think I'd be willing to give up a few RPMs at highway speed for better low end acceleration, so something like a 3.73 or 3.80 might be better. But only with the taller gears of the T5 that I wish I had. I know that sounds counter productive, but my first gear is almost useless now, putting in a shorter rear gear would make it worse, that's why I want the taller, better gear set for the T5. :)

      I appreciate the reply and the channel. I seem to remember that you gave a link to the previous setup you had that was to an outfit in South Dakota. I was just about to pull the trigger on that when I asked my local rear end shop about installing it and he recommended against it. He said he had done a few and always got the same complaint that they were too noisy. He recommended the OEM Ford version but it would set me back about $2300 and I'm not ready to do that.
      All I do is cruise around on country roads, no racing or anything. I have a factory four top loader but the rear end is probably out of an automatic. It has a 2.80 ratio.Really tall set up. Taking off is like being in second but once you're moving it's very smooth. I'm doing about 2800 rpm at seventy. I think I'll hold off on the Traction-Loc and just have them put in 3.25 gears when they change out the pinion seal. Sacrifice some top end for easier starts. Anyway thanks for the reply and looking forward to more videos.@@AndyKruseChannel

    You should look into carb cheater it would help you dial your carb! 😄

    • @AndyKruseChannel
      @AndyKruseChannel  Рік тому +1

      Luke's App will help with the daily variability the carb may see, but it won't put the correct jet size in the carb for me, it won't set the idle mixtures screws for me, it won't put more fuel into the carb through the accelerator nozzles if they're too small, etc. His App is slick, and it can teach people a lot about their carbs that most people don't know how to do, but it can't replace the hard components. Adding his App once I'm done dialing in the carb won't be a bad idea. :)
