my Tremec on the 67 was leaking.. replaced output seal 3 times... ended up being a defective yoke on mew aluminum driveshaft.. ugh good luck with the leak
Hey Andy, thanks so much for recording and stepping through all the work on your Mustang's. You motivated me to get more hands on with my 67 Coupe and I've actually discovered that I can actually do quite a lot. Plus the satisfaction piece is huge. Big inspiration and thanks again. Also, hope the channel gets sponsored by Milwaukee. Since watching your video's and starting my journey I've invested around AUD$1500 in Milwaukee tools. Might seem a lot, but its a hell of a lot cheaper than paying a mechanic by the hour to undo bolts. Keep the Updates coming! Mark from Brisbane Australia.
Thanks for the support, and I wish you luck on your journey with your Mustang. A sponsorship would be awesome, but my channel is so small that most places like that won’t reach out until I’m around 100k subs or more. So, we’ll keep moving forward, hoping my channel will help others. 🙂
Great video. It’s interesting to see someone go back over all the upgrades they have done to their classic mustang. I’m still working on the rust on my 68 cougar, the last thing I have left is the rear frame rails, I have to pull all the rear suspension off so I can fix them. I’m hoping to get to that shortly. Then I’ll be done the metal work on the car, which I’m looking forward to.
You notice an immediate difference on a convertible when you add sub-frame connectors. Funny, I always listen to your exhaust and think I should go back to flowmasters, sounds killer.
High value for me in this post is your stated value (performance impact) of the panhard bar ABOVE that of the front control arm/coil over upgrade (all other things equal). I suspect they are complimentary to each other...but your install sequence speaks to the panhard stand alone value. Prior to your review, I thought the front suspension upgrades would have been more revolutionary (impactful/game changer) than the panhard. Keep serving the juice...we're drinking it up!
Yes, the Panhard bar will provide a larger performance impact and it will be noticeable day one, but that's also assuming your front end isn't completely blown out, at which point you might see an impact with a new front end. Steering wit the throttle is something that is extremely difficult to do with the stock rear suspension. :)
Did your sequential taillights have a yellow wire, or separate wire to wire in? Set I got from CJ’s has one. I do love the brightness and sequentials myself
Thanks for doing this video. It’s really helpful for us guys who are 1/2 step behind you in our builds. I put in a T5z and the MDL hydraulic this past winter. Overall I like the setup. The thing that I don’t like is that I feel a little bit of…?binding? In the clutch pedal. Especially when the car is hot. I’ve checked and rechecked all the tolerances and angles. Is yours smooth all the way through the entire motion?
1/2 step behind? Damn, I need to pump up the video production then, don't want you to catch me. :) No issues with the clutch or the T5, she's right as rain (except for the leak).
Fair, I’m also afraid of breaking anything. I’d rather tear up the clutch than shred that rear diff. However, if you’re willing to sponsor the new parts, I’ll do burnouts for days! 🙂
Great stuff Andy! I’ve been waiting for a full review like this.
Glad you liked it!
It hooks up really nice. You can buy the T5Z gearset with the 2.95 first gear for $525.
Don't tempt me!! :)
Where?
my Tremec on the 67 was leaking.. replaced output seal 3 times... ended up being a defective yoke on mew aluminum driveshaft.. ugh good luck with the leak
Yeah, I don't want that kind of leak. Thankfully it's just the tailshaft, but unthankfully the trans has to come out to fix it. :)
Cool video. Nice to see all the mods and your thoughts listed in one video
Thanks 👍
I thought of more to talk about after I did this video, maybe I could put them in the next round when I get more done. :)
She sound good! This car has come such a long way. Good job Andy!
Thanks 👍
Excellent improvements and advice !!!!
Glad it was helpful!

Last seconds of video 👏🏽 that’s an exit with sound
Haha, thanks! :)

Yeah, there can be parts of these projects that are not fun, or we procrastinate on them, but the journey really is the best part. :)
Thanks
Welcome

I agree that subframe braces would be more noticeable on a convertible. Sounds like you've got a trim to the exhaust shop in your future. :)

Thanks!
Time for a roll bar and a helmet and take to Pacific raceway to do some road coursing Andy.
Don't tempt me!! :)
Hi Andy, Did you do the Shelby drop when you put in the new upper control arms? Thanks.
I did the Shelby Drop almost 2 years before I installed those new Upper Control Arms. :)
Sensacional esse video brother!!!! Parabéns
Thank you!!

Yes, but I did not need or use that yellow wire. :)

Lol. Yeah. I’m a carb tuning and panhard bar behind you. First to go broke wins!
Can you let me know where you got the center console from?
I purchased it used off eBay, but places like Summit Racing and CJ Pony Parts sell them. :)
You mentioned new wheels and tires. What's your next choice?
That will be one of my hardest choices in the near future, I like so many but I can only have one. :)
@@AndyKruseChannel17x8 fit on my 67
You definitely need more practice doing burnouts that was pitiful 😂. Lol great video as always.

With a 347 hooked to a t5 I’d be scared too. The t5 is not rated for that kind of power.
@@bofa83 Yeah, I'm at the limit of both the Trans and the Diff, so I'm keeping the hooning to a minimum. :)
