I drive a tiny toyota pickup. When I had driven the Navigator for the first time, It was easier to handle than my toyota and even my moms Chevy Colbalt. Even at about the same size, it feels so much better than our old suburben. Right on guys :D
How's that Navigator working out for you? I'm looking at buying one. I believe the 07 and 08 had a different type of transmission from Germany that may have had some issues.
@@UncleSarkis I have 140k on the original engine and transmission. I have not had a nickels worth of problems out of either one. In the interest of full disclosure, if you do buy a Navigator of that vintage you will almost certainly need to change out the body bushings.
@@Elmo_Fuddleputt Thank you! I'm looking at a 2014 L with 78K miles for 15.5K right now. I do have a 2011 Towncar L I need to sell though to make room for the new baby.
I love my 2008 Nav. I think they're beautiful inside and out. They're definitely more attractive than the 4th gen. (IMO) but can't even be compared to what Navs are now. My father has a 2015 that does nothing for me. Other than the increase in HP, I'd go with what I have any day over those 4th gen and their ugly split grills. My wife has an 04 Aviator which is so much fun to drive! I only wish it was in better shape. But we are a Lincoln family. 5 total ranging from 2004 to 2020. They're not the cheapest vehicles to keep on the road, though. But they're far from overly expensive. Regular maintenance is key - like with any car.
Here we are a few years after the navigator was released,Cadillac just came out with a new escalade, so if the navigator wants to stay in the market that better come up with a huge redesign. I love the Nav but most 2013-2014 Buyers don't.
when you say "it cant" do you mean "it can't"? I believe that it does reach 60mph faster than the Tahoe (I think the Navigator does 8.3 while the Tahoe does 8.5). The Navigator does have a lot more torque than power, yes. I think the Navigator is worth the money. It's also great for those who want a full-size luxury SUV, but who don't want to spend quite as much on it. I just think that for $10,000 to $20,000 more, you get a lot more power and a higher-quality ride. Navigator = "Mini Escalade"
@tH3FtoN3 That 5.4 32 valve goes 250,000 miles with no w orries,,,,I don't see a problem with 300 HP and 8,000 lbs of towability. The Escalade doesn't hold up, long run, to the Nav.
Standard features include air conditioning w/tri-zone climate controls, power tilt wood/leather-wrapped steering wheel w/radio and climate controls, cruise control, leather upholstery, heated/cooled 10-way power front seats, memory system, premium sound system, 6-disc CD changer, rear radio controls, outside-temperature indicator, universal garage door opener, and power liftgate. A lot of standard features considering its base price of under $50,000, but it does lack power.

i guess it depend on the model, the gl550 is probably quicker then escalade, but im not so sure about the gl450,but both are alot faster then a navigator, but i would say the navigator is the best buy!!
@CoreyForeside Well in terms of the speed the flying Spur will reach 198 mph,and the Rapide will reach 188 mph.The CTS-V will only do 176 mph, also in terms of acceration the the Porsche Panamera Turbo would probably be the fastest, and is said to be capible of reaching 60 in 3.3 seconds by Car and Driver.
My uncle had one of these brand new. We drove it to Penn State University to the state championship my other uncles basketball team were competing in.. Anyway we all drove in this Me, my mom, my dad, my uncle (driving), my little cousin and big brother We literally floated up the Pennsylvania Turnpike at about 100 mph the whole time the engine was buttery smooth and ride was like a cloud. That was the only time i rode in it though.
@libetta I don't mind a stronger engine as long as it gets me good gas mileage. but I think in a few years, with all these emission standards, there's nit going to be an increase of power anymore. but don't you think ford should buy rights to cummins and hemi? dodge doesn't need them and ive read that dodge doesn't even know how to put them to their full potential. ford could tho.
Escslade Advantage: LED FRONT AND REAR LIGHTS, BIGGER ENGINE, OVERALL STYLING IS NICE, MORE CUSTOMIZABLE, MORE FUEL EFFICIENT Navigator Advantage: INTERIOR VERY UPSCALE AND UNIQUE, COMFORT ROOMY, ONLY COMES IN 2 MODELS NOT PRICED OVER 62,000, BUILT OFF OF THE RELIABLE F 150 ASSEMBLY LINE
reason why people buy this is for 3 reasons: cheaper than the escalade, to be original (less of them on the road), and b/c its smaller than the escalade
@KarlGoth yea,but i cant offord that either,i wasted all my money on a 13 second prelude, lol! (plus i moved to a 2 story house but the rent leavres me broke, lol!!!
I think the new Expeditions look way better! Lincoln should have designed it more like the Expedition and kept the old waterfall grille from the previous Navigators..
It's a luxury SUV. It's a taxi here too but that doesn't change that fact that's it's a Luxury vehicle. I know from the fact that I own one. I don't care if it's a taxi. The Rolls Royce phantom can be a taxi. You can have any car as a taxi it's a business. The only other car to compare the Navigator to is (example) the Esclade. I am just making a point here. P.S. it's a waste of money to have the Phantom as a taxi When you can have a Lexus LS. The Phantom is a work of art not made to be a taxi.
@deeber223. There's a reason why people don't buy Land Rovers. It's cause they're absolute crap. Check 2010 JD Powers long term dependability ranking. Out of 36 brands, Land Rovers finished dead last with over 255 reliability problems per 100 vehicles.
Has anyone noticed that people are having less problems with the new Navigator than the old ones? I don't care what anyone says Lincoln is just as good as Lexus.
There is 2 things I like on the navigator over the Escalade. 1. The 3rd row can actually sit more than a small child and when folded down you have a pretty large trunk. 2. The suspension isnt prone to breaking as soon. (My Escalade is air ride in the rear and auto leveling in the front) What I don’t like is the trash engine that comes in them. That 3 valve motor is a nightmare, very poorly designed.
@airsoftnotherstuff In the interior, it is indeed very nice (the captain chairs are A+++). Though the 3rd row leg room is quite crowded, even on the ESV Platnium. I would rather drive a Navigator, but it really doesn't matter, so as long as I am not in a Dodge SUV.
hmmm... im open to eerything... but in my opinion i would prefer the Esdallade. but this is prolly a better offroad veichle. or rather to live in the mountains.
ironicaly the mercedes it far less relible the navigator, and slighty less relible then the escalade, and the escalade offers the best gas milage. But the mercedes handles the best and with the off road package has the off road capiblity
@AUDIR8ofNY96 YES. i bought one from 2002, and got it for $4K, EVERYTHING was good except for the shocks, but i changed them for $500, and now it is a car i never want to change lol... it looks fucking sexy, and its really big :) now i want to paint it and buy it new rims and tires =]
@Martin00028Guitar Ya your rigth but ford doing a 6.2 i know and many other people it ill last and do well just like the 5.4 cuz its ford and dats wat ford dose long lasting durable engines.
the 2008 version more superior, execpt for reliblity, which about the same as a navigator, but the pre-2008 sequios where pigs, that couldn't even tow much as a ford explorer, while getting 16mpg.....on the highway, despite haveing a solid rear axle it would have been beat by every other competitor when it comes to towing and gas mileage!!!
@rangerover06sc The butt-ugly Panamera just recently stole the title. But, guess what? Cadillac still has the world's second fastest sedan and you can take that straight to the bank. In terms of top speed, acceleration is more important considering the small chance of you actually reaching the top speed of any vehicle...

i like how they removed the trim levels so all features are standard
Lincoln makes excellent vehicles some of the best out there, their parts are very high grade.
Interesting to watch this review and the 2018 review. This one is SERIOUS
I love my Candy Apple Red Lincoln Navigator. It had two owners before me and was well taken care of. It is a gas guzzler but worth it.
How's the reliability been? I'm especially curious about how well the interior has held up.
2016 navigator coming, hopefully awesome design and that 6.2 v-8 standard
mark marshall even better the 3.5 ecco boost

Illyrian King not
shawn moore that would go to Toyota obviously thee best 5.7 EVER
That thing is a beast.

the navigator redesign was in 2007 and no updates
I was watching the video about 2007 Navigator and got the ad about 2018 Navigator. 🙃
I like the One at 2:26 Very Nice 😁
Style has been known to repeat it's self.
how reliable are these long term?
Freddy Medina very- the navigator is the#1 car sold with over 200,000 miles
There is no problem with Lincoln
@@troyhubereismann4680 Hi Troy, were did you get this information
the only thing that the lincoln gets the crown for are the third-row seats.because in the escalade really fails there, trust me.
i love these things!

Hi. What do you think about rwd and navigator?
Navigators FTW! FORD POWER BABY!
the gas mileage is very better than the prius on this thing, trust me!!
vintage micah! Am glad the videos arent so blah now though
which is better escalade or navi. i like gm but i like the exterior of the navi
nah they are redoing these along with the expedition getting a 5.0 v8 and a 3.5 ecoboost in 2014.
Looks great! I can't tell you more than that. I like this lincoln more than the new Escalade. The grill makes the car.:)
What year model is this Ford? Another great car that we will never get in Australia.
Import it. Freight cargo vessels that carry containers and stuff
'
how come this vehicle do not have 2 amber yellow lights on the rear tailights for turning sign and emergency parking lot
how is a navigator a min escalade, despite have a smaller engine,it has more towing and its bigger then the escalade.
I want one but i'm far to liberal to get one of these gas guzzlers, but I like that new Tahoe!
@NenuCoYVESS you might change your mind when the 2012 navi comes out!
@curtis74guy yea so? your caddy is just a rebadged tahoe just like the navi-expedition

Does navigator and Expedition share the same engine parts
niclna from 07 and up yes.
For 2009, the Navigator sits just below $50,000. This is probably due to such a small engine.
