As a mature women turning 70 this year I really appreciate you doing these French women effortless looks. I love light makeup and you do a fantastic job! Thank you! Looking forward to many more!
Formidable! Superbe vidéo! You nailed it! I'm french, living in France and yes, everything is true. We, frenchies , just want to bring out our natural features , with very natural quick and easy looks on daytime. A bit of a light sheer foundation, or a BB cream, a pinch of blush, some mascara, a touch of Touche Eclat to enlighten some features and a smidge of red lipstick applied with the tip finger to give a gourmand "bouche mordue" effect. No contouring , not much of bronzer...For the evenings, more coverage with a bit more foundation, more eyeliner, mascara and a beautiful matte red lip. We definitely are less sophisticated than american women. Especially with hair, we are far more natural. We don't use as much hairspray as american girls do. We let our hair moove freely, with a good haircut or with long hair , a ponytail, a chignon... As i once told you, you are absolutely gorgeous, and here in France, we don't look at wrinkles or jawls, or what not. What counts is the charm, the smile, the smile in the eyes! All the things you have! And it's 53 Years old woman who tells you that. 😉😊
This is true of most European women, not all but it’s been my experience in Vienna and Prague, Florence etc. This is true for mature women. Of course you can find any exception to the rule. No self respecting European woman would wear lash extensions or fake lashes especially the ones that look like strippers wear.
@@bkagel1 You are so right. Fake lashes are the biggest NO GO for me as mature woman. Less is more is so true! Servus Beth aus Niederösterreich! 🙋♀️👍👍👍
@@bkagel1 Beth, you are so right, I'm seeing this to be true around Europe as well. I think the stripper lashes look came from Russia, hence the term, Russian Lashes, in the lash extension world. I know that some videos can be trusted but it’s how to filter through them. I so enjoy educational videos from women with your experience and the chitchat too 😀
@@jamiewarkentine7108 thanks for taking the time to share that with me! I get it. I only talk about products I love on TT. In fact, I turn down brands and products weekly and when I do accept a paid gig, always tell them I will ONLY make a video if I love a product! You will not see me taking money from a brand and making a video of something I authentically don't use and love! I see a LOT of FAKE here on You Tube too though and I see a lot of filters which I believe should be banned and I see a LOT of gals with plastic surgery telling me to get a product or how to do makeup when they've had everything lasered, lifted, injected and filled. Not fair, not genuine, NOT authentic! I'm here for the women who can't or won't
I am going through menopause right now and I have spent so much money trying to find the perfect foundation. I bought the 4 in 1 Balm and I love it. I hope they don’t discontinue it, because it’s fantastic. My face has changed. Despite my skincare regime, I have a lot of wrinkles around my eyes and heavy makeup ages me. Thanks for doing this video 😊
I love this so much! 57 here and working on embracing my wrinkles and imperfections in a world that doesn't love them as much as I do. I lived in Europe for over a decade and was so frustrated when I moved back to the States and felt like I had to buy all the things to look a certain way. Let's rock our age and our lived-in beauty! xxoo
I have been enjoying several of your videos lately. I am 43 and wanted to start wearing makeup again but what worked in my 20’s and 30’s made me look older and worse than without makeup. I am very grateful to have found you on UA-cam. I have bought several of your makeup suggestions including the Chanel cheek balm and highlighter from this video…i love them both! I just recently tried a sample of the beauty countertime line and love it! I have sensitive and drier skin so I was a bit worried, but it works great and with no reactions:-). As a small token of my gratitude I have purchased the countertime line and a few other products with you as my consultant (and will do so going forward). Thank you for taking your time to make these videos…they are VERY helpful and I am truly Grateful!! 💜
I am from England and mostly done the French look most of my life and just can't deal with the face changing make up etc...I like people to know it's me before and after make up lol. I love the French way of embracing the face shape etc and not trying to change it but actually enhance it and embrace it. No heavy concealer too and trying to rid eye lines etc ...and I absolute love the messy low eye make up and look sometimes like I've slept in mine....with my messy hair.... and yet always have the nice deep rose red lipsticks....or the rosy lip balms.
Hi I have just moved to France last year and this is way more makeup than a French woman would use! Their natural skin is very healthy and shows through much more. This still looks more madly and uniform. I think you are so cute to own that you are an "American makeup artist"! I think it's the powdery uniformity that hides the natural glow that is still different.
Yes, this was a few years ago, my French look is FAR more authentic now BUT I was showing American women how to look more French in America, totally different culture, America. Much more into makeup so I’m showing baby steps how to get there. Does that make more sense?
I’m 53 and have been rocking the natural makeup look and full brows for my whole life, even through the 90’s (!)… I absolutely love it and I think it looks amazing on you. Thank goodness it’s finally being considered for it’s value of the natural underlying beauty of faces of all kinds, and not spending hours in front of a mirror.
I'm nearly 49 and trying to learn how to work around the lines that are coming out, as well as the acne that's still hanging on. I have large pores and oily skin which makes it VERY difficult to find a skincare routine that addresses both aging and acne. I watch several different mature makeup channels, but you are my #1 go-to. I'm learning so much from your masterclass! I prefer less makeup, but I won't go out without something on my face, so I'm really digging the French look. More, please!
Gorgeous! I may watch other youtubers for information, but I view your videos for education. I've loved all of your advice and recommendations. Thank you.
I love the messy look. That's my thing. I will be trying this style now. Less is more! I am turning 54 this year! We need to let our light shine naturally! Beautiful! I have loved all your videos that I've watch. You are new to me but you have also gotten me back to trying my seint, I had gotten so disappointed with it, not knowing how to really make it work for my skin and age. Thank you for the tips. I am all about natural beauty
Would love to see all the different looks with different products! Great idea. I am all on board for easy makeup, but still looking natural. Thanks for this video.❤️
I’m American but my family is from France. I absolutely love French culture and appreciation for aging gracefully and beautifully. They are such a beautiful people ❤
Yes! Love this look and philosophy! It looks so fresh and polished…and comfortable. Please do more. I’m also very interested in mixing Seint with a moisturizer. Thank you for this!
Looove you and your beauty. I’m 52 so I love your channel. I love minimalist makeup. I really like laRoche Posay with the sunscreen. Such a great base. I wear a speck of concealer in corner of my eyes and a tinted sunscreen. Always a nude, pink or peach lip color and a cream blush and bronzer. Always mascara in brown on top lashes. I always just swipe a pale cream on my lids or a blush. Takes me five minutes.
Yay - glad to see you on UA-cam!! Yes the Seint with moisturizer would be nice to see and any tinted moisturizers you love! You look so great in this video - this look makes the most of your natural beauty!!

I love the French look except more of a neutral look because I am so fair. I only use La Roche Posay! By the time I put a tinted moisturizer on, Laura Gellar baked foundation on my eye area, blush, mascara, and a tinted lip balm I even look good in photos which is the true test! I sometime use Physicians Formula BB powder if I want a smoother air brushed look.

To many people use way to much lip liner Thankyou for doing the French look.
Thanks, Amanda, for watching and your supportive words!
Hi Michelle, loved the video! Can you plz tell me what color you used for the Loreal balm? Thank you 😉
Sure, it's 10 Light/Clair
Love the look! Please do more!
Ok!!!

Rms living luminizer is so good. Thank you for the seint and Demi color matches you sent me this past weekend. Can’t wait to play when my package arrives.
I adore RMS!!!!
Love it! Love it! Love it!
I’m 64 and I’m going to try this! Thank you!
Would LOVE to see this look with your Seint! I'm just starting to use the Seint and demi, I'd love to learn how to sheer it out like this. It's beautiful!
Great idea
Michelle, this look is just so fresh and beautiful! I LOVE it! Thank you so much for sharing it. I also love the rebranding too. I am so happy to continue to learn to do mature makeup well!
Thanks so much! Thanks for watching
‼️❤️I stumbled upon your video today… Looks like I’ve found my new make up go to look…been searching forever, and looking at French look videos…Thanks ‼️❣️
Wonderful! I’m so happy you’re here!
Sounds like a solid routine!
✨✨ Yes Please! Would love to see it with MOB Beauty or Nars. Love this look on you, just beautiful! ✨✨
Ok! Stay tuned, all do a series this year on French looks
