Brendan pulling up in the costume is glorious. The fact that he thanks everyone for the majority of the speech rather than talking about the movie is a testament to his character.

I've never really been a fan of his acting, though I understand his latest work is quite good, but he seems like a decent, grounded person. He always seemed like another member of the "brat pack" getting by on his look vs. acting talent, but that's me.

It was absolutely REPREHENSIBLE and DESPICABLE what happened to him and VERY traumatic, to say the least!!
Thank God he recovered, made a recent comeback and is BETTER and more grounded, than ever!

It’s good to see him feeling comfortable in his skin. He seems so nervous all the time. As someone who has anxiety it was nice to see him so relaxed and in his element.
Those strong moments, we feel invincible. Like, "How can people complain about life when it can be this beautiful?"
I mean, after what that bitch did to him, i would have the same or even more anxiety than him, I'm glad he's back to being comfortable.

I can watch the mummy movies over and over every day.
Kinda jealous of that one person who said they never watched The Mummy, because to see the main actor introduce to me would definitely make me hyped! The Mummy has definitely stood the test of time. Sharp, funny, entertaining. No small part of its appeal comes from Brendan Fraser's wit and charisma. He's connected to so many movies that mean so much to people like School Ties and Gods and Monsters. And that's not mentioning his role in TV as Ben in Scrubs! Glad more people are realizing just how great of a legend he is, and he very much deserves all the attention! You can feel the humility emanate from him. He doesn't have the attitude that he's better than anyone else and he still appreciates the fans.
This guy can truly act. In the past they tried to make him a Movie star, and for a while it stuck, but he's so much more. He's only getting started.

Is anyone else getting recommended a ton of Brendan Fraser videos lately? I mean obviously The Whale is out recently but I don't think I've ever searched or watched a single Brendan Fraser video ever. @@ollyassassin no kidding!! With how many theaters have converted completely to digital, just finding theaters that still play 35mm is becoming rarer and rarer each year. A special treat indeed. I’ve been spoiled in that I live in Modesto CA, George Lucas’s hometown and The State Theatre in downtown is where Lucas used to go and is privately funded to keep it maintained and always actively playing both live shows and/or movies (in 35mm and/or digital, depending on what format they receive) every day. They will play classic films, the latest indie films and documentaries, and sometimes hold special advance screenings of new films from the larger studios. They have also hosted events where they invite the public to come and watch live broadcasts for big events in the theatre. They have broadcast events like the 9/11 benefit concert, the tribute to George Harrison, The Oscars, etc..

The Mummy IV needs to happen. Someone's got to take over the action adventure genre after Harrison Ford retires from Indiana Jones this year.

With all due respect, there is a good chance it wont turn out well. The actors have aged, many of them will be recasted, so will the production team which would have impact on the essence of the film. It would probably be like what happened with the matrix. I just don't want the franchise to end up with a poor movie.

Well, the 1999 Mummy trilogy has always been an action-comedy so even if the original cast is older now, they will probably make it as if they are senior citizens fighting mummies once again, in all their bumbling clumsy panicked glory. However, they could turn it into a serious movie, just like with the Tom Cruise Mummy version, which Cruise's version was supposed to go back to the roots & turn it into the Dark Universe series. If Brendan could do the Whale & get an award for his serious acting, he might be able to do that with another Mummy movie. They could also slow the pace down, just as with the original Mummy movies of the 1930's & 40's. But I think they are going to need a first-rate director to do this, like maybe S.Spielberg, of which this potential next Mummy movie with Spielberg & Fraser could be like a spiritual successor & homage to the Indiana Jones franchise, of which the original 1999 Mummy was sort of a copy of Indy.

I can't remember how many times I have watched "The Mummy" and "The Mummy Returns"! One of the few movies that I do not get tired watching. Timeless! Brendan is such an icon. crap if I'd have known about this, I would have LOVED to have been there! Mind you, I was fortunate enough to have met Brendan (albeit briefly) at London Comic Con in 2019 and he signed my Mummy and Mummy Returns DVD set. Could not have been more humble and friendly.
He seems like a very sweet kind and caring individual that isn't corrupted by Hollywood! Or did not let his experience in Hollywood get in the way of his beautiful personality!
